Am going to try celebrity slim diet to lose the last half stone or so before summer. Anyone care to join me? Not necessarily CS but whatever you fancy. MFP has worked for me so far but fancy a change and need something strict.

I'll join you I will be using the hairy bikers diet book and making meal plans from that for the food shop on friday.

Hi there-I'm currently trying to lose half a stone. Using mfp at the moment-have shifted 2pounds so far but it's slow progress! I can't really exercise and get easily tempted by the snacks! I'm already gluten free and vegi so I'm loathe to limit my diet anymore but need to try and reduce the sugar and eat as cleanly as possible.
I'm 9.5 at the moment n would love to get to around 8.11-I'm only short at 5.2. I have a pair of trousers which I'd love to be able to wear by June and think I need to shift around 4 pounds to get there.

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 22/04/2013 14:45

Hurrah! Company! awaywego I'm also 5 ft 2. 9 stone at the mo and would like to get to 8 1/2. Lost a lot of weight summer 2011-2012 but nothing since about October and would really like to shift the last half stone. Have just been out and spent a fortune on CS starter pack. I used MFP for my diet so am hoping CS which is low carb will shock my body into losing again. Starts tomorrow.

Ooh that's exciting tidy is the diet shakes and stuff? I've not seen below 9.4 in a long time so will be keen to see how you get on-its tough to shift those last few pounds! But well done on maintaining til now-that's the hardest part I'm sure!

Yes it's shakes or bars or soup. Then low carb meal at night. I'm a low carb virgin - somewhat of an expert with calories but trying to understand what I can /can't eat at the moment. Just deciding on my last supper - something nice and carby! Will let you know how shakes taste tomorrow....

Hi I'll join you...have lost (nearly) 2 stone since January but have lost focus recently, resulting in zero weight loss for the last 3 weeks.

Am down to 9.4 but would love to be under 9 stone when I go to Ibizia mid May.

Calorie counting works for me so going for 1200 max per day plus walking and 30 day shredding.

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 22/04/2013 19:25

So the goal is to get into the 8's! Never in my life did I think I would weigh 8 stone something Smile

I'll join you. I'm starting the Harcombe diet this week and will need some hand holding through phase 1! Overall I've got two stone to lose so happy to give moral support to everyone else in exchange for a kick up the backside when I waiver ! Grin

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 22/04/2013 19:41

Arse kickings available here. Don't know harcombe. Will google.

Day one completed! All fine. Shakes for breakfast and lunch which tasted reasonable. No hunger pangs but was counting down time until afternoon snack mainly because I love my food Smile.

Can I join in please? I'd be happy to lose the 10 pounds I gained since last year as trousers and dresses are getting a bit too snug now. (10 st 10, heading for 10 stone 0)

I need a new strategy though. I don't have the dsicipline to calorie count any more (it used to be my go-to method when I was younger and it always worked, but I have too many days now where I exceed my limit and give it all up as a bad job).

I should go for Slimming World (green as am vegetarian) and really up my intake of veg and fruit and reduce my intake of cake bread. Nearly the season for salad anyway Smile

Back tomorrow to report on Day 1 - goal date is mid June (birthday)

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 23/04/2013 22:58

Welcome amiga

Well done for surviving day one musttidy my will is weak at the moment-and my motivation is low. I've roughly stuck to cals today but had to guess at dinner as was made by a friend-I did pass up on desert tho-polishes halo Grin and ignores fact that I had already had a curly wurly an two bonfire lollies as snacks

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 24/04/2013 09:22

Grin I stuck to my calorie counting so well for a year and am close to my target but I just go sick of measuring and counting and ended up cheating. In hoping that ill only need to do 3 weeks ish on this celebrity slim -I will be sick of it by then. Will probably then go back to calorie counting, with restricted carbs, to get used to maintaining.
About an inch to go for THE jeans.

Hello

Mind if I join?

5.3 and 9 stone.

Lost 10.5 kg since oct after having ds last feb.

I need to be under 9 stone, if only to be able to say I'm 8 stone something! Grin

Started personal trainer late October, combined with Zumba and Pilates.

I'm now doing insanity. My weight has stopped moving down (or up thankfully) but I need a kick up the ass to get it moving again.

I start the 5:2 diet tomorrow.

Good luck everyone Smile

awaywego1 · 24/04/2013 15:54

9.4 today Grin but more exciting is that can wear a pair of trousers I've been wanting to for ages-they are very very tight still so if I can lose another few pounds they'll be comfy!

ImaHexGirl · 24/04/2013 19:06

Hello! Well done to everyone so far!

Nearing the end of day two. Struggled today at lunch as I hadn't really planned it. It was so tempting to cheat and get a sandwich but I managed to steer myself away reluctantly towards a plain salad with tuna.

Not experienced hunger pangs but it is difficult to deal with the cravings. The book did say by day two you would be fantasising about various foods that your body craved (its almost like a cartoon where the dog stares at something and it turns into a juicy steak! Grin)

I started off at 10st 2lb and at 5ft 2" that is not good. SmileMy target is 2st in total but I'm also following the diet for the general health benefits. I recently had a ten day course of antibiotics which wreaked havoc with my system so it would be good to balance it out.

I'm going to try and hold on to the weekend before I weigh myself in the hope that it will have started to take effect by then. Fingers crossed!

amigababy · 24/04/2013 20:03

Yey awaywego :-) well done on 9 St 4.

day 1 for me and I need to say it's completed. Because what I usually do is start indiscriminate snacking after dinner and I Really don't need to. At all.
how has everyone else done? hello Barbie, is tomorrow the first fast day? good luck.

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 24/04/2013 20:44

Hi Barbie welcome to the wanna be in the 8's club. Grin
hex glad all going well. I found today easier - was busier so less time to think about food. On CS you have snacks morning and aft so I coincided my afternoon one with the kids tea time so I didn't pick their food. Morning snack was successful - load of salad bits with 30g of cheese mixed in and a bit of balsamic. It t

Good morning.

Today I woke dreaming of food Hmm

This is weird because I generally don't really like food, I'm very fussy and eat to survive, I'm defiantly not a foodie!

Anyway I'm thinking of food, probably because I'm thinking of what lies ahead!

Did insanity last night and ate my last meal at 8, so I'm 12 hours in so far...another 12 to go. Wish me luck!

We will be in the under 9 club before the sun is a permanant fixture in the sky Smile

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 25/04/2013 16:50

I woke up feeling great this morning and full of energy (this is unusual). Was at work today which is much easier diet wise than being at home so had no problems with cravings. Just finished a 6K run which was a killer in this heat - I'm glad it's over. Trying to think if a way to pad out a handful size of bolognase sauce for my dinner - more veg I suppose. Smile

OP posts:
Barbie1 · 25/04/2013 17:03

2 hours to go and then I've completed my first 24 hour fast! I'm very pleased with myself, nearly failed at 3pm when I had zero energy but I've stuck with it. I just hope it's all worth it in the Long run Hmm

amigababy · 25/04/2013 18:08

Keep going barbie not long now.

I left it a bit late to have lunch, so had too many carby things as I was starving - but now not hungry for dinner, so not going to have anything till later, and then just have a light snack.

And I did the 1st day of JM 30 Day shred - it made me really aware how lacking in fitness I am especially compared to a couple of years ago. But it's a start......... More exercise at the weekend. Good running MustTidy I admire anyone who can get out there and run.

Barbie1 · 25/04/2013 19:17

I did it Grin it really wasn't that bad!
