ruprekt Flowers

chocs there was another cauli recipe in the metro yesterday - sort of like a north african KooKoo - spiced thick omelette. I saw it and thought of you Grin. The recipe might be on their website or I will post to recipe thread if it is tasty

bessie what a horrible day, hope today is better for you

oblomov you say you are filled with dread re the limitations of the woe, if so please reassure yourself that you may find yourself totally inspired as I have at all the wondrous combinations of said meat, fish, veg with the addition of the holy trinity BUTTER, CREAM and CHEESE, AMEN. Grin no but seriously, do have a look at the recipe thread and check out pinterest, I think one of the ladies on this thread or maybe 2 have low carb pinterest accounts. Also, do get some decent low carb recipe books - Low Carb Gourmet is great, also there are Dr Atkins books with nice pics ( I need pics of food to try it) and there is a book by Dana Carpender which I do not have but is supposed to be good.

splitthetea I second cleaning as an excellent distraction and the physicality of it helps to release tension. Plus bringing order to chaos is very satisfying.

Hi, I just wanted to pop in here to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to BIWI and everyone who was involved in running the spreadsheets / posting recipes and general support in the last Bootcamp. I lost 1.5 stones for my wedding. I felt amazing on the day and it was all down to low carb - I know I couldn't have done it any other way.

I have to admit that I am scoffing carbs at the moment but I am running a marathon at the weekend (by running I mean half running / half crawling) so need to fill up my glycogen stores as much as possible. But I am really looking forward to going back to low carbing next week. I actually miss it!

See you all at the next Bootcamp!

Ruprekt · 10/04/2013 09:01

Well done Ginot!! Photos needed!!

Well, my lovely DS1 is 11 today. How did that happen?? Hmm He has a Harry From one direction hair style today and looks very grown up.

Thanks again for all the support. Couldnt do it without you.

Am going up to Preston to visit family til Sunday. DM is a staunch weightwatcher so I will have to face her comments on LCarbing for the next few days.

Wish me luck!!SmileSmile

GinotPrigio · 10/04/2013 09:36

Happy Birthday to your DS Ruprekt! Good luck with low carbing at your DM's house!

I've uploaded a few of the professional pics that we have got already from the photographer!

GuyMartinsSideburns · 10/04/2013 10:06

Morning all, Im afraid Im here to ask you all to line up and give me one hell of an arse kicking Blush

Ive been feeling crap for a few days, Ive eaten allsorts that I shouldnt have and naturally Ive put weight on and feel worse. I know its all emotional and Ive been feeling very much 'I dont care' Sad and thats why. Anyway Ive had eggs for breakfast today, going to get on the water intake properly and Im just about to get my gear on and do the shred dvd... Hoping once Im back on things my motivation and mood will be for the better.

NigellasGuest · 10/04/2013 10:30

Wow Pinot you look STUNNING!
many, many congratulations on your wedding AND on losing the weight!!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 10/04/2013 12:12

Oh Ginot your are GORGEOUS. I am being measured for my dress on Saturday and sadly, due to extreme sugary twattiness, I am still a stone up from where I wanted to be. But, am firmly back on plan, so much so that I appear to have lost 5lbs in the past four days!!

Guy and spilt and Bessie - I am a ridiculous emotional eater, and totally recognise the 'I don't care' feeling. Let's all try and come post here instead of having a biscuit or whole pack of giant cookies

WillieWaggledagger · 10/04/2013 12:57

Ginot you look fantastic (and my phone keeps wanting to correct your name to ginormous so it obviously has no idea what you look like!!)

GinotPrigio · 10/04/2013 13:21

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I will put up some proper full length photos when I get them.

HeirToTheThrone Don't worry about slip-ups. It sounds like you are back on track anyway with a 5lb loss. When is your wedding? I know what its like to have a target weight in your head but honestly you will look half a stone lighter with a properly fitted wedding dress and you will feel incredible on your wedding day!

Willie A special thank you to you too for your fantastic spreadsheet efforts!

MrsHerculePoirot · 10/04/2013 13:44

You look stunning ginot! Thanks for sharing!

NigellasGuest · 10/04/2013 15:29

GuyMartins did you do the Shred ok?
I feel the way you do at the moment - trying to get motivated.

have managed ok so far today, and did well yesterday except gave in to a small-ish apple tart last night.

Cauliflower is an eye opener - thanks everyone for those cauli recipes upthread. I'd never thought of grating cauliflower and frying it, and it gives some much-needed crunch to various recipes!

BerylStreep · 10/04/2013 16:26

Ginot - you are absolutely drop dead gorgeous! You look really happy - hope you had a lovely day.

I worked from home yesterday, and was snacky all day. Good snacks, but even so. Up a bit today, but I went to Lidl and bought some of their yoghurt to try.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 10/04/2013 16:34

Nigella's - yes I managed the shred, forgot how nasty push ups are when you haven't done them for ages Grin but onwards and upwards! Felt so much better for it afterwards though, really think had a better day today than yesterday just for doing that.

Yama · 10/04/2013 16:45

Panic over everyone! Period arrived today (day 38). If that is the new cycle length then happy days.

Ginot - Wow! How beautiful are you? And I love your dress. Unique. Lovely. Smile

BlackAffronted · 10/04/2013 18:51

Dosh, I am having gin for tea too. Out with a friend after a shitty day so need more than water.

Ginot, your pics are stunning. Congratulations.

Ewan I made your cauliflower and halloumi thing last night and it was lovely.

TreeLuLa · 10/04/2013 19:27

What is BAB?

AuntieMaggie · 10/04/2013 19:31

Another sore throat here :( so many bugs doing the rounds at work atm. doesn't help that the office is freezing cold. all I ate yesterday was 2 sausages a protein shake and steak as I had a banging headache.

Anyway 3 days in and I'm doing ok... think my salad may have had too many carrots in at lunch and I need to watch the milk in tea.

Might look at the ubercamp next week after a night out at the weekend as I then have 2 weeks til the next one. will try drinking vodka but it makes me feisty!

Is anyone from Bristol?

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 10/04/2013 19:38

Wow ginot you look amaaaaazing!!! Many many congratulations not in your wedding and for the fabulous weight loss! Inspirational!

Sorry bessie that you've yet again been having a shit time from your shitty ex-employer - hope it gets sorted Sad

Thanks mary that sounds lovely! DH being veggie it is always good to have lots of veggie options!

prettybird · 10/04/2013 19:39

BAB is "Big Ass Breakfast": a really substantial one eg with 2 (3?) eggs and bacon, with mushrooms (for those who like them I hate them), to keep you filled up for longer.

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 10/04/2013 19:40

tree BAB is big arsed breakfast.

I am loving the BABs! What I find is great is that it fills be up for much longer - I used to get hungry about 6pm, but generally wait to eat with DH at about 8.30 - now I am only getting hungry for dinner at about that time.

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 10/04/2013 19:45

Sorry ginot that was meant to say "both for your wedding..." not "not in"! Damn autocorrect!

Ruprekt · 10/04/2013 20:28

B.....bacon and 2 eggs

Water and fizzy water

No lunch. Watched the boys eat at Burger King!!

Dinner was roast chicken with skin and melted butter, sauteed swede and salad.

A Good Day. SmileSmileSmile

MrsHerculePoirot · 10/04/2013 21:39
