So here it is - come and weigh in for the last time and tell us how much you've lost in Bootcamp.

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

Hello Willie, nice to see you back! Yes, I guess the squirty stuff would've been worse... I should've taken it back really but CBA...

Am feeling quite fighty now though (must be the caffeine Grin). Might start a thread entitled 'I hate people who drink skimmed milk'... hehehe

thenightsky · 04/04/2013 10:20

tea that is strange. The Starbucks here (Lincoln) gives me a little waxed cup full of lovely thick pouring cream to go with black coffee if I ask.

QueenBIWI · 04/04/2013 11:05

HavinganOffDay - yes there will be. Starting on 29 April.

HavingAnOffDAy · 04/04/2013 13:05

Fantastic Grin

I promise to stick it out this time.

I need to buy new weigh scales as mine are knackered.

I've got a 3 week head start too Smile

obrigada · 04/04/2013 14:51

Planning on starting bootcamp with you on 29th April, have been doing SW online but whilst not gaining weight I am not losing either. So starting tomorrow I want to low carb before boot camp. Going to give it 100% this time as I hit 50 earlier this year and I want to get fit and healthy.

Yama · 04/04/2013 19:30

Evening everyone. I'm home from our Easter holiday in the North York Moors. Will realise the damage tomorrow morning when I jump on the scales. Was 9.10 on Sunday morning. If I'm over 10 stone then it's Uber Camp time!

Dinner tonight was a Chorizo/Prawn/Sweetheart Cabbage/Turnip affair. Basically, all we had in the house upon our return.

legalalien · 04/04/2013 19:42

Hmm, have done far from perfectly on day 2, but have managed without tea, any form of sugar and anything with yeast (ie bread!) or vinegar. I caved at dinnertime and had some rice, and a small gin and tonic.

Baby steps. Good luck to everyone else!

intravenouscoffee · 04/04/2013 21:49

Hello all. Can I join in? Have picked BIWI's brans on a couple of occasions but not properly joined in the chat. Have been LCing for about 6 weeks now and finding it fantastic. Not trying to lose weight but just as a healthy, non-sugar dependant WOE.

However, after 5 days away with family I have fallen by the wayside. Done reasonably well with BAB and salads but today has been a chocolate binge and I really need to sort it out. Am not going back to feeling exhausted and foul tempered by 4pm...

All advice most welcome.

BIWI · 04/04/2013 22:45

Just pick yourself up and get back on the wagon! If you've been low carbing for 6 weeks properly, then you should be ketogenically adapted, so you should be able to switch back to fat burning quickly. Just be super strict for the next few days and drink plenty of water and you should be fine.

If it was dark chocolate, it's probably not that bad

Yama · 04/04/2013 23:00

If I'm itching for something in the evening I have a cup of peppermint tea with a teaspoon of coconut oil in it. Rock'in roll! Grin

I also remind myself that I'm not actually hungry and that I have BAB to look forward to. Oh, and water always helps.

SingingTunelessly · 04/04/2013 23:28

Just popping in to support. I am an original BIWI Bootcamper (ALMOST from the start). Confess I was dubious and also have an under active thyroid which hindered any attempt at weight-loss previously under the doctor prescribed low fat/low cal regime. But although I had misgivings and endless questions, BIWI was lovely and supportive to me and I kept at it. Today this woe is so natural to me that despite the chocolate, wine and hot cross buns I succumbed to at Easter Shock I was then straight back to it. So today - 3 stone off! Cream in coffee, buttery veg, lamb chops, chicken (eat that crispy skin) ooh and not forgetting that lovely vodka, soda, lime and ice. Grin

Yama · 05/04/2013 08:45

Well, well, well - weighed in this morning and only 2 lbs on after my 4 days away.

intravenouscoffee · 05/04/2013 09:23

Thank you. Actually feel okay this morning - thought I'd feel shocking after all the chocolate and would be almost back to square one but I'm all right. Sliced pork with whole grain mustard dip and a chunk of cheese for breakfast. Then heading out to buy more eggs.

Have had 250ml water already so feel like I've made a good start.

Hope everyone has a good day and thanks for letting me join in.

intravenouscoffee · 05/04/2013 09:28

Bessie - it was Cadbury chocolate. Including 2 creme eggs. I'm trying to remember that I've been addicted to sugar for 33 years and only tried to give it up a few wks ago so I will have slip ups but need to pick myself up and carry on (as BIWI has reminded me).

I actually found myself thinking, "The kids are really stressing me out, I deserve some chocolate" which is exactly what got me to this point. It's all a learning curve I guess Smile

Bessie123 · 05/04/2013 09:38

Ach, a few creme eggs are not the end of the world if it's a one off. I had a very carby, chocolatey Easter and put on 6lb Shock but 5 lb of that has come back off already and I think the last lb will be off by tomorrow. It's a bit annoying that I will probably sts this week instead of losing because i have had to wait while the 6lb comes off but it feels good to know this woe really does work.

Biwi you have completely converted me to this woe for ever.

intravenouscoffee · 05/04/2013 09:49

Thanks Bessie. My big concern was having to go through carb flu again!

Right, better go and get the kids dressed instead of ignoring them while I MN...

Bessie123 · 05/04/2013 09:50

I didn't get it again, just the first few days of starting this woe. Smile

obrigada · 05/04/2013 11:08

Have to ask ... What is BAB???

SingingTunelessly · 05/04/2013 11:25

Obrigada, BAB stands for Big Ass Breakfast! Something like scrambled eggs, fried eggs, mushrooms, bacon. Eat big low carb meal at the start of the day and it really fills you up until late afternoon/early evening I find.

EwanHoozami · 05/04/2013 13:21

Hells bells! Lidl have run out of their wondrous yoghurt. I have therefore tried a BAB.

B: ham and spinach omelette (3-egg)
L: not very hungry (BAB works!) so just some cold chicken
D: tuna nicoise (roast celariac replaces new pots)

Ruprekt · 05/04/2013 13:48

Bella magazine has a 7 day Atkins plan on it. Got some nice recipes in it tho they use sweeteners and Atkins snack bars!Shock

B fried mushrooms with courgette and shallot and added 2 eggs and scrambled them. Bacon and avocado. Water and decaff coffee.

L Probably nothing

D cheeseburgers with salad and swede chips.

ecuse · 05/04/2013 14:14

Hi all
New favourite breakfast /lunch/anytime quick dish: sliced savoy cabbage stir-fried in butter and served with melted cheddar cheese atop. Heaven! (cheat trick: you can melt blocks of cheese in the microwave in 30 secs or so, stirring every ten seconds, then just pour straight onto the cabbage)

spilttheteaagain · 05/04/2013 14:33

That sounds yum ecuse would be even better with a bit of fried bacon in there

New breakfast today:
One pan summer eggs. I only had two cherry tomatoes hanging around so it was mainly garlicy courgettes with the eggs fried in the middle. V easy and v tasty.

DD just grabbed the cheese block out the fridge and sat on the kitchen floor gnawing it. Blush True BLW Grin

teaandthorazine · 05/04/2013 15:17

ecuse - am Grin at the thought of pouring melted cheese onto cabbage! Sounds perfect!
