Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

tumbletumble I chose CD and not LL because I didn't want the group element of LL

JennySense · 05/04/2013 23:48

I'm on my second CD go. The first time I lost 6 stone but didn't do maintenance :(
I've been on CD since 1 Feb and have lost 30lbs so far.

Hi everyone, can I please join?

I've tried every diet under the sun and can't get back to my pre pregnancy weight before the 3 kids. I have 6 stones to lose!

I tried Cambridge a month ago and failed, but I honestly think its because I didn't have the support (single parent) and my consultant erm wasn't bad but I got no motivation or anything from her.

I still have packs left and thinking to order some from slim and save. I think if I post on here everyday I will keep focused as I really really don't want another summer of being fat. Hmm

I'm not sure to start tomorrow, or Monday though!

BloggingAboutTediousThings · 06/04/2013 12:47

Hello,

I started Cambridge Weight Plan on Thursday. It's my third day today and I am already in Ketosis. Starting weight was 13st 2 1/4lbs and my goal weight is around 9st. I am going on holiday in 11 weeks and I would like to lose as much weight as possible.

sammac · 06/04/2013 17:11

Off to a positive start. Weighed this morning, after 3 days, and lost 6 1/2 lbs. Great incentive to continue. One woman lost 11lbs in this, her first week. I need the group element, though it takes a bit of time to know the others.

Headache gone, thankfully, so onwards....

AlrightOnTheNight · 06/04/2013 18:14

Reading through the thread I might buy some ketosis sticks. I did Atkins 7 years ago and lost the bulk of my weight, plus found that I loved jogging. Then dc1 came along. It all went down hill from there!

Maybe I shouldn't tell anyone I'm restarting as well... I've decided Monday is definitely the day. If I get through the half term doing it then I can definitely do it once I'm back at work!

BloggingAboutTediousThings · 06/04/2013 20:58

sammac Well done! I have lost two lbs to far, but I only did two days. Today is my third day. I am already in Ketosis and yes I use the Ketostix.

Shall I make a weight sheet and we can do weekly weigh-ins?

Okay, here is the Weight Sheet
Everybody should be able to edit it. If there are any questions I am happy to help. Are you all happy with the weekly weigh in on Mondays?

sammac · 07/04/2013 12:18

I had a big night out at very posh restaurant last night with friends over from Canada. Was very worried but came clean and the staff were so lovely to me and kept me topped upwith decaff coffee and water. Actually think it's harder on others watching and feeling for me missing out. I had a bar to nibble on. Of course no alcohol, but took the car and dh could drink instead. My night was not dampened in the slightest as the company was the main thing.

However I will go back to the place and partake later to celebrate in a sensible manner. Just another hurdle gotten over.

tumbletumble · 07/04/2013 13:46

TisILeclerc my advice would be to start on Thurs. Of course there will always be this kind of situation and you'll have to learn to deal with it, but I think it would be better to kick off with a clear week ahead to focus on it.

AlrightOnTheNight · 07/04/2013 18:58

I'd love a weekly weigh in. When I started Cambridge I was 17.7 I think. And due to a lot of stress I think I've put on a lot. Not looking forward to weighing myself tomorrow but it has to be done!

Is everybody doing the sole source? So no food what so ever? I'm going to do 2 shakes and a low carb meal for the first week, but I really want to do sole source for at least 3 weeks afterwards.

BloggingAboutTediousThings · 07/04/2013 20:41

No, I do SS+. However I struggle to drink three shakes a day and have a meal, so I usually only have two shakes and one meal. A third shake when I am really hungry.

AlrightOnTheNight · 07/04/2013 21:55

That's what I'm planning on doing as well. I'm excited about starting tomorrow!

AlrightOnTheNight · 08/04/2013 10:49

Good morning everyone. I'm starting this morning, and I am so surprised I weigh 17.2 I really thought I had gained at least half a stone and had been feeling extra fat- but proves it was in my head because I hadn't gained weight.

I'm 5,9 and would love to go back to 10 stones before kids. But I don't think that will happen! So I will be focusing on getting to 12 stones and going from there. So so 72 lbs to lose starting from today!

Good luck anyone starting today and everyone continuing it!

milkybarsrus · 08/04/2013 11:17

I just would like to wish everyone who is starting a vlcd today the best of luck! Think of those meal replacements, shakes, soups and bars as your friend as you don't have to think about food anymore, you don't even have to shop for it, except of course for the rest of the family. I am 99% on plan, with the odd protein snack if hungry or bored or feeling left out of a social occasion. for example, went too the cinema this week and took, small portion of cheese, lunch size prawns portion (sainsburys), and for crunch i had half a packet of pork scratchings all washed down with coke max. I still managed to lose well this week and go out and have fun. I felt totally in control and quite good that I had made a choice to not for go chocolate and popcorn! checked ketostix and remained in keto throughout. Keep going everyone.

Aspiemum2 · 08/04/2013 11:26

I'm back again, had a disastrous week last week. My order finally arrived on Tuesday, neatly coinciding with totm so not a good week. First weeks weight loss is securely back on. I'm not too worried though, I now have plenty of stock so am quite sure that I'll be back on track in no time Smile
Day 1 (again!)

AlrightOnTheNight · 08/04/2013 19:29

How has everyone's day been? Evenings are the worst for me so I have a new strategy. I've eaten my salad, and in a few minutes I'm going to clean the entire kitchen whilst watching corrie on the little tv. Once it is clean I will shut the door tight, taking my water with me and will NOT be entering it at all! I might even put a note on the door saying 'come in if you want to stay fat!'

So off I go now.

Airwalk79 · 08/04/2013 22:58

Hi can i please join in!
Iv got a lady coming on weds eve to start me off. I'm 5'3 and about 1010. We're going on holiday in a month and would love to fit in my 10-12 holiday clothes! Can just about fasten the 12s at the moment but wouldent be Abel to go out in them.

I'm a bit worried about the feeling dizzy? I carry ds 7 months in a sling, and obviously that's proberbly not a good idea when dizzy/ faint.
Can't wait to get started now!

Airwalk79 · 09/04/2013 19:08

Is anyone still on this diet? Iv told dh about it and he says he will see what the lady says and maybe give it A go! That's major progress he's never had a proper diet!

BloggingAboutTediousThings · 09/04/2013 19:19

I had a terrible day today and I ate lots of rubbish. I feel so terrible. Why? Why? Why? I didn't sleep last night, little one was in hospital yesterday and had surgery and I woke up in the middle of the night. My pj's were soaked because I was sweating so much. Never happened before. I am back on track now, tomorrow another three shakes and then my consultant comes to see me on Thursday. I hope today didn't mess up too much.

StairsInTheNight · 09/04/2013 19:43

Hi, read this thread ind it's inspired me to contact a local Cambridge diet consultant... happy to pay out if the fat goes quick. Am miserable being this weight, I hate not being able to get my shoes on and not having a lap the most! I am like a ball atm!
