Sorry for the late start to this thread. I had an appointment at my gym for an induction this morning.

If you haven't already, put yourself on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Good luck for the week!

Wow ChoosandChipsandSealingWax - thanks for the photos , really inspiring. You look brilliant.
Think you deserve that dress !

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 09/02/2013 16:56

Thank you!

Gless - I started low-carbing in October (the before pic was taken at my brother's wedding in September) and was the weight I am today by the following July. So ten months.

Then maintained very comfortably for a year without putting on; then went to America for three weeks and put on half a stone in three weeks because I was eating such rubbish (we were driving coast to coast and options were very limited) and then another three pounds that Christmas. And since then have maintained at the higher weight for another year - did a half marathon last year thinking that would easily shift half a stone, but it didn't - I didn't lose a single pound. And was too upset about DS2's autism diagnosis to feel up to focusing properly on low carbing until this January again when the thread popped up in Active.

Then the extra ten pounds have already gone now with these five weeks of Bootcamp.

No it was this one - Bella body con:

Have to say a big thanks to BIWI for the WOE Thanks

Never expected it to come off so quickly - the previous low carb diet I did was more about keeping blood sugar stable and filling up on protein and veg - it was probably about 80g carb a day and one didn't go into keypads and while it worked, weight loss was slower. It was good for maintenance but much prefer BIWI's for weight loss!

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 09/02/2013 18:05

Bloody autocorrect. Ketosis not keypads!

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 18:28

Choos you look stunning!

Thanks for all the info on stevia. I only mentioned stevia up thread as I was going shopping for the cream cheese pancake ingredients on the LC recipe thread, and the recipe has stevia.

Perhaps someone could go through and de-stevia the recipes if it's so bad?

NoelHeadbands · 09/02/2013 18:58

Amazing Choos really well done. You look fantastic

BlackAffronted · 09/02/2013 19:09

I survived! A full 8 hours with only a half hour break :) I still have loads of energy. Its amazing how well you can exercise on LC. I was worried Id lack energy etc, didnt need any of the Red Bull I bought :) Ate low carb all day, bar a jelly baby. I feel fantastic, if a bit sore Grin

Choos, you look amazing!!

MrsHerculePoirot · 09/02/2013 19:11

Choos you you a-MAZE-ing!

Was at the farm this afternoon for a party that DD went to. I didn't eat anything except three bits of cheese - no cookies, no cake, no sweets, no picking at the crisps and sandwiches. Not even one tiny morsel. Hurrah!

I am quite looking forward to weighing in this week for once!!!

BlackAffronted · 09/02/2013 19:13

Im a hefty old girl by the way, probably the largest lady at the Zumbathon, I am utterly surprised that I managed to keep going. Only about 4 of us managed the full 8 hours Shock Ill stick some photos on later.

Doshusallie · 09/02/2013 19:19

Well done black!!!!

Choos you look amazing, congratulations on your achievement. Grin

Have been in bed most of today, can,t shift this cough or headache.

B - Greek yog with slosh of cream
L - celery with pâté, cucumber with Camembert, bit of coleslaw
S - pork scratchings, tablespoon of PB, about 5 macadamia nuts.
D - can,t be bothered.

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 19:19

Wow - congrats Black. You did it!! Grin

BlackAffronted · 09/02/2013 19:24

Well done Black Smile

For anyone dubious about the effect of LC on exercise- my DH has been low carbing since 2nd Jan, and I can report that today he ran a 22.6 mile fell race in appalling conditions, finishing in just under 4 hours. His 'energy snacks' today were scrambled eggs for breakfast, and then some Brazil nuts and biltong on the way round. No ill effects whatsoever.

Nutcase.

BlackAffronted · 09/02/2013 19:38

I had an avocado for breakfast, protein panckes & butter, brazil nuts & a babybel for snacks and a ham salad for lunch :) DH treating me to a kebab for dinner, will leave the pitta bread.

Ruprekt · 09/02/2013 19:39

Oh WOW to all of you!

You are such an inspiration to make me keep going.

I think that maybe I am not drinking enough water.

Whoosh Fairy - where are you?

pyjamalover · 09/02/2013 19:40

Choos you look fab, you deserve the dress!
Black am so impressed, bet you'll sleep well tonight.

I was at a friend for tea today and just had some cheese and veg sticks even though there were loads of yummy looking cakes.

catinboots · 09/02/2013 19:40

Soooooo on a site with a million posters - BIWI finds my 'what shall I have from the Chinese?' thread

Busted.

I will be paying on Monday.

catinboots · 09/02/2013 19:41

Congrats Black BTW ThanksThanksThanksWineWineWine

mumat39 · 09/02/2013 20:00

Gless, thanks for that. :)

My problem is that if I get a taste for it, that'll be it. I don't trust myself to be able to be sensible about these things so I best stay away from yummy sounding foods like the tiffin, so you're right and for me it's best that I stay away from the sweet stuff.

I just had a piece of raw cabbage and it tasted so sweet.

I'm yearning for a liquorice tea but trying to stay away from that.

Thanks again.

JustasmallGless · 09/02/2013 20:06

DH been out to watch footie so been coping with DC whilst feeling VERY poorly.
He has got leftover curry out of the freezer and has instructions to make cauliflower rice. We will see....

Hot toddy required before bed. I think no carbs in whisky?

Been on Pinterest and saw an ace idea

Put ham slice into muffin tin and crack egg into it then bake until egg is cooked. Simples!
