and what Wise said. come back Mo

Lizzylou · 16/01/2013 17:07

Oi calm down!

Mo don't be daft, you are made of sterner stuff than this!

We are all getting to the afternoon slump and dieting and weight loss can be hard and boring.

We're here to support, not row!

If I ever got to a size 10, real size 14 or no, I'd have the labels hanging out everywhere. People would know.

juneybean · 16/01/2013 17:08

Weight does affect fertility and in answer to who asked that's my reason for losing as I will require fertility treatment due to being single and want to be below BMI of 30 as the clinic asks for it.

juneybean · 16/01/2013 17:10

and of course not wanting to be the fat mam at the school gates...although living in a region where 40% of adults are overweight I might not be the fattest any ways Wink

nilbyname · 16/01/2013 17:16

mo dont go, we need you. I have not done any exercise today, I need you to fuck my shit up man!

nilbyname · 16/01/2013 17:25

fat mam sounds like a terrible TV show that BBC3 would commission. Grin

spamm · 16/01/2013 17:27

Bloody hell - how did that happen? Mo - come back - this is about all of us in it together. You judged and I think that is normal - maybe not nice, but normal. I do not criticize posters for "judgey pants", as I am as prone to it as anybody!

I know that I fell pregnant with my ds completely unexpectedly when I lost a stone or so and was ridiculously careless with contraception. I have always believed that weight is a MAJOR factor in fertility, although by no means the only one.

Hugoagogo - Please play nicely, that was not exactly supportive, was it?

RandallPinkFloyd · 16/01/2013 17:56

I've only gone and lost 6.8lb! I shit you not, 6.8lb, I may cry.

Ok so I'm clearly way lardier than most of you but still, I'm chuffed mint balls anyway. I've never been in a diet before so had no idea what to expect.

The thing is, I've never been overweight before ever, I'm one of the annoying people who put their normal clothes back on within a couple of days of giving birth.

Unfortunately horrendous hyper emesis and being depressed as shit has effectively broken my metabolism and caused me to get properly fat over the last year.

My grouch longer though, 4 more pounds and I am official down to merely 'overweight' Grin

RandallPinkFloyd · 16/01/2013 17:57

My grouch longer Hmm = not much longer that should say!

DoubleMum · 16/01/2013 17:58

That's great stuff!

Pinot · 16/01/2013 18:15

Randall that's bloody excellent!!! That's nigh on half a stone. HALF A STONE!

RandallPinkFloyd · 16/01/2013 18:23

I know! I've been saying that out loud for half an hour now!

I honestly don't think it's possible to be more chuffed. Grin

I am studiously ignoring the fact that it shows just how crappily I've been eating to let it get this bad in the first place.

nilbyname · 16/01/2013 18:28

randall ~HIGH 5! Whoop whoop!

WiseKneeHair · 16/01/2013 18:38

Randall Bloody brilliant. Well done. and thank you for putting the thread back on track

RandallPinkFloyd · 16/01/2013 18:41

I really actually may cry Blush

WiseKneeHair · 16/01/2013 18:42

HTH.

CarriedAwayAnnie · 16/01/2013 18:48

Come back Mo. You judged? So what? Everybody judges fat people. I pointed that out in my last post when I said everybody looks at me and thinks 'fat'.

And you're right, fertility is affected by weight AFAIK.

If you don't like a post the ignore it Hugoagogo. This isn't the AIBU topic.

This is a thread where we are nice to one another! If you can't handle that then don't post because you're just going to upset other posters, they will leave and the thread will die.

I think most of us can say we are getting something from this thread and none of us want that to happen.

I've had a terrible day thanks to idiot ex. I didn't manage to cook the ratatouille I was planning, gave the kids beans on toast which means I have no dinner and I really feel like ordering a takeaway. It's only this thread which has kept me on track today!

CarriedAwayAnnie · 16/01/2013 18:49

Yay!!! Well done Randell!!!

Pinot · 16/01/2013 18:51

Carried, DO NOT do the takeaway. You'll feel like shite when you go to bed if you do. Quickly glug a glass of water to fill you up a bit and give you some breathing space to plan/cook a healthy dinner. Then you will go to bed tonight feeling smug that life served you up a shitty day and you smacked it right back in it's face.

G'wan :o

hugoagogo · 16/01/2013 18:51

Wow I didn't expect that reaction!

I feel bad, maureen I'm very sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Randall Result! Grin

DoubleMum · 16/01/2013 18:52

I made bolognaise sauce in the slow cooker today, and we are having spag bol, but it was very scary measuring out the spaghetti - I can safely say I usually have considerably more. Blush Now it feels like it won't be enough, but I'm sure it will.

CarriedAwayAnnie · 16/01/2013 18:59

Thank Pinot - Just drank a big glass of water!

I dunno what I'm going to do about dinner, I might just throw some toast in later. I will resist the pull of the takeaway

GetOrf · 16/01/2013 19:17

Oh no pleeeeeease don't let this thread end up row-y. Maureen, come back.

Randall that is fucking marvellous - half a stone! well done.

Spamm - I used to work for an american multinational, and yes that's how they worked - told you to 'consider' roles.

I still don't know if I have this one (doubt it) but my boss's boss asked me to take a temporary secondment for 3 months as Head of procurement for a government dept, so I am thrilled with that. FT in London until Easter, but I don't mind and I am absolutely thrilled. So fucking WINE for me tonight and chips

nilbyname · 16/01/2013 19:28

carried what about beans on toast for you? I love a "kids" dinner sometimes.

getorf you are sounding very accomplished professionally, well done!

double I think we are all realising we can eat less and still feel full, enjoy your supper.

I am exhausted went to see le Mis last night (totes amaze) and then could not get to sleep. Need chocolate and gin...I might have 6 squares of chocolate....

DoubleMum · 16/01/2013 19:29

Enjoy the Wine GetOrf, you deserve it!
