Moving in over here girls, the old pad was a tad crowded!!!

OP posts:
Huffpot · 15/05/2013 20:56

2.5lbs off tonight so 12.5lbs in total now
Would love to hit the stone next week but not going to happen as having a social life for once and eating out 4 times plus having my first drinks in over 6 months Grin

ladyarwenevenstar · 15/05/2013 22:00

ah huff, I don't know what to say Sad Much love to you all and your special angel though. I have been incredibly blessed and lucky with my "horrors", but my gran, mum and eldest sister all would feel your pain.

I hope you enjoy your sociable week though, sounds fab :) don't drink too much Wink

I had wine last night - I had spent 2 whole fecking days mucking out DS1s bedroom (hoarder... and I haven't finished yet) - so I felt like I deserved it! But I have felt like shit all day. Am having some tonight too as DH is going back to work tomorrow. So I'll feel like shit tomorrow too, but hey... there's a reason they tell you not to drink with ADs. But I have cut it back HUGELY, and don't miss it, so that's a good thing.

We have a family party at the weekend (mum's cousin is coming up to her "hometown" to a holiday cottage and having an anniversary party). TBH I am dreading it as it won't be "right" without my uncle Sad.

I also have the second part of my reiki 1 this week. I am a bit Hmm about it as I am wondering if that's why I've had the "depression epiphany". I have also decided to defer my OU studies today. I will hopefully start again in October, but the pressure is too much for me as I am feeling just now (and DS1 needs me more than ever to get through his GCSEs - he is dyslexic and has the organisational abilities of a lego brick)

oops, sorry for rambling Blush

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/05/2013 22:20

Oh Huff. I'm sorry your results offered no explanation. You don't have to share, but have you given your wee flower a name? I know from experience with my sister and my sister in law, having a name to think of and talk to comforts them.

Now is maybe not the right time, but after all my sister went through losing one of her twins, she had a baby girl today. They're both doing well xx

Lady, am glad you're feeling positive about the deferral, your head will be in a better place this time next year & you'll be more ready for it. I didn't realise Reiki would effect you in a negative way.

I weighed on this morning. Lost half lb. tomorrow will be a new start.

Well done on your loss Huff xxxx

ChocolateBridesmaid · 17/05/2013 07:01

Oh my word I have been AWOL for three weeks!

I have been weighing myself and it has been yo yoing up and down but staying round where I need it to stay for now.

Huff I am sorry that you didn't get any answers, it's just not fair sweetheart , I hope you are ok (hugs)

Huffpot · 17/05/2013 17:03

lady will be thinking of you this weekend and ramble away!

Huge congrats to your sister Fair Grin

Thank you all for your lovely wordsSmile
Was a bit upset when I found out it was a girl but ok now. fair we probably won't name her as we call her dragonbaby which was the boys name for her. We have her buried at home and have a little grave for her with a stone heart and a rose bush either side. DP is going to make her a little trellis arch for the roses to grow over her grave which will be pretty.
Its nice to know theres nothing wrong with me but it would have been nice to have a definite reason.
We've been told to try again whenever we want and if/when I fall again I can have an extra scan but will still be a nervous wreck.

I got a bit sad last week when a lady brought her newborn in but not in a bad way if that makes sense?

(hows that for rambling lady?)

Off out to an indian/chinese resteraunt for dinner with some of the girls tonight Grin

Huffpot · 23/05/2013 07:22

4lbs on this week but fully expected and deserved with what I've been eating!
Back on plan as of today! And I bought a 12 week countdown as well Smile

ladyarwenevenstar · 23/05/2013 09:38

3lb on for me huff, also deserved and expected, and probably "hormonal" too. Back at GP tomorrow to get signed back to work after the hols, and feeling pretty down again :( (and comfort eating to prove it. could kill for cold chinese takeaway this morningBlush)

DH lost 11lb this week, by eating pie and chips, fish and chips, scampi and chips (etc) and working 12-14 hour days. I hate him Wink

I am going away with the boys and my parents for a few days on Sunday, so I'll get back on plan when we get home.

Huffpot · 24/05/2013 15:07

Comfort eating is the pits and so hard to stop lady
Enjoy your few days away and don't even worry about SW for now Wine

Am back on track here again - got my bloody periods again though so have Dr's appointment on 17th June as I don't think the pill I'm on is agreeing with me. This is my 3rd or 4th period in not even 2 months grrr

B: 4 scan bran with 0% greek yoghurt topped with banana
L: cous cous with cucumber and tomato and coriander and a cuppa. Had an apple, 2 satsumas and a banana before on the walk home as was so hungry I could have eaten a scabby child!
D: WW sausages with mash, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots and some gravy.

Its too cold for salad!!

Huffpot · 27/05/2013 06:50

The weather has changed hasn't it? Am going for a walk to buy some salad once the toddling terrors wake up.

Have also woken with a very sore throat - any ideas of syn free/low syn remedies?

Have been back on track since Thursday - hopefully some of my 4lb gain will come off at WI. Have been struggling a bit with superfree though.
Am also having scan bran on alternate days as I think a full week is too much for my body (I end up awake and in the toilet in the middle of the night)

Isn't the weather lovely? Toddling terrors (nearly 3 &4 so I probably shouldn't call them that for much longer!) have been playing outside in the garden all day helping daddy who is putting in a path and getting soaked with water.

Am up early as throat is sore and its the only bit of solitude I get all day - am thinking I should sneak off for a walk if this continues on a daily basis

I made diet coke chicken for dinner the other night and it was AMAZING! You fry up peppers and onion then put them in a bowl. Then fry diced chicken with salt and pepper till sealed, chuck the onions and pepper back in, add a tin of diet coke, some passata or tomato puree and chinese 5 spice. Cook until thickened (which can take a while). Will definitely be making this regularly.

B: Porridge with apple
L: Jacket potato and salad and beans
D: Chicken legs marinated in garlic, soy sauce and maybe a little honey with home made fried rice and salad

Huffpot · 30/05/2013 10:53

3lb off last night...I need 2.5lbs off next week to hit the stone!

ChocolateBridesmaid · 30/05/2013 19:04

Well done to all those with losses.

Wedding tomorrow, then I can 're start on the plan, been terrified of losing too much after being measured for the bridesmaid dress. Fingers crossed weather stays nice :)

Huffpot · 30/05/2013 19:21

Hope its lovely wedding weather choc and looking forward to having company on here Wink

ladyarwenevenstar · 30/05/2013 20:49

good luck with wedding choc.

yay for loss huff, may try that chicken. No WI for me as only back from holidays this evening. Have been eating though. Feeling pretty shite still, and very "nervy" today for varying reasons. might WI to assess the damage tomorrowHmm

Huffpot · 05/06/2013 20:51

Did you brave the scales lady?

1lb off here so 12.5lbs in total since restarting Smile

ladyarwenevenstar · 05/06/2013 21:50

WI tomorrow this week, it won't be pretty.

My mum has been diagnosed with high blood pressure tonight, put on meds and has to have blood tests and an ECG Sad. She is so fit and healthy though, so I suppose I'd better take her advice and get myself sorted out.

Huffpot · 06/06/2013 12:55

Pretty or not if you face it ypu know what needs to be done! Maybe it won't be as bad as you think? hopeful face

Blood pressure can really affect you when its not right so hopefully the meds will help your mum Smile

ChocolateBridesmaid · 06/06/2013 14:36

Didnt have time this morning to weigh in so will do so tomorrow morning, i am expecting a huge gain. 7 weeks till holiday so 7 weeks to get this belly to an acceptable size again.

Going to do the 777 again to kick start me back onto the plan, i enjoyed doing it last time and the results were very nice too.

Hope you all ok.

New Plan

  1. Stay out of Home & Bargain
  2. eat and share out the mini crunchies in my top drawer in work as quickly as possible and DO NOT GO BACK TO H&B TO REPLENISH.
  3. 777 plan is my new God.
  4. ask Huff to yell at me when i am clearly cheating.
  5. remember my body has not been built for a bikini for 15 years so i have to work at it.
  6. stay away from the cheese.

Feel free to add your own steps Grin

Huffpot · 07/06/2013 08:42

Hope the WI goes well today choc

We don't have a Home Bargains near to here so no temptation phew

Wow I get to yell at someone other than tiny men excited

1.5lbs to my stone award...surely I can do that this week???

B: 4 scan bran topped with 0% greek yoghurt and banana
L: Chicken salad with pasta and 70%ff salad cream
D: Am thinking pizza topped chicken with more salad and wedges and maybe even some smash garlic breadGrin

ChocolateBridesmaid · 07/06/2013 12:24

Go for it Huff I damn well need it only 4 more crunchies left in my drawer, mini ones mind

Well I weighed in and I am the same weight as I was last Saturday which is 4lbs more than I was the week before the wedding, however if you look at my lowest weight then I am 10lbs over that Blush

Now you be good and shift that last bit, so glad you do not have a H&B it is a nightmare to resist!!!

Huffpot · 07/06/2013 14:36

How many syns are the mini crunchies? The full size ones are only about 9 syns I think

I kind of wish we did have one near as they seem to have loads of good stuff

It could have been worse then choc

Syn the crunchies and crack on!

ladyarwenevenstar · 07/06/2013 22:53

I haven't weighed in yet. But I will.

Mum bought a blood pressure machine on the advice of the GP, and it has been almost normal ever since. Hopefully that will make her worry less, as she is certainly the most fit and healthy person I know (apart from my dad). It would be nice if she was normal next time she goes for a check up - just to set her mind at rest. Sadly, another uncle has passed away today (relation by marriage) which is just going to bring the whole illness/mortality thing back to the forefront of their minds Sad

has anyone tried chocolate flavoured tea? it's in a mag from 2012/11 and apparently is syn-free?

looking forward to a nice family weekend here (again, although this one shouldn't involve the food we had last weekend at the golden wedding BBQ). Hope you all have a good weekend too Smile

Huffpot · 08/06/2013 09:00

Thats good news about your mum lady and sorry for your loss

Nice quiet weekend here as usual

Am knackered as was up till 1.30am doing DP's accountants for the whole tax year! I wish he was more organised!
I tend to pick more when I'm tired so must make good choices

B: 4 ryvita with ham, tomato and light philly
L: Chicken salad and pasta again
D: WW sausages, loads of veg and mash

Huffpot · 12/06/2013 19:33

1lb on and a very well deserved pound...had 2 takeaways Blush

ladyarwenevenstar · 12/06/2013 22:09

Never mind huff, at least you know why. Hope you enjoyed the takeaways.

I AM going to WI tomorrow or Friday (I have had an awkward couple of mornings involving mending trousers before school, and toe-nail cutting etc, which has upset my normal routine of "fly by the seat of my pants and arrive at school just in time for the whistle", also the whole "bathroom routine" has been completely upset by DS1 no longer having to go to school on the bus every day.Hmm) I know I need to WI and take action though, my body is telling me it needs less crap and more water, and I need to get back on my ADS too (slipped a bit since my holidays). I am feeling pathetic and weepy tonight Sad

ah, woe is me Wink
