FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/04/2013 08:11

Oh wow huff!!!! A hat trick of awards!! Excellent!!! Oh I'm delighted for you!!!

What a fab loss! You too lady! :)

I've a feeling I'll maintain at group this evening - hasn't been a great week & I'm all bloated - just hope it's not a gain!

Lady, hope dh hears & stuff who said what, I'd have hugged my poorly child. No, no joy on the job front yet, haven't even had any acknowkedgements that they received applications or CVs.

ladyarwenevenstar · 25/04/2013 08:13

yay huff Grin

I am back to it today, although I didn't have my pizza and wine blow out evening as planned (as in, with DH watching T), I had a couple of slices of the DCs pizza at teatime, and 2 small glasses of wine. I went to bed early again.

bubble and squeak and bacon for breakfast Smile

Huffpot · 25/04/2013 09:18

Thank you - very proud of myself Grin

And lady am proud of you for resisting a blow out too

Mmm haven't had bubble and squeak for years!

B: Eggs on toast with beans, mushrooms and peppers for me
L: Not 100% but maybe quiche and salad
D: I'm thinking chicken marinated in soy sauce and
garlic and egg fried rice

Anzac day today so will make some Anzac biscuits for everyone and try and resist them! They are far too moreish

ladyarwenevenstar · 25/04/2013 09:30

mmm, good idea huff - we have no biscuits in so I could make some later.

Huffpot · 25/04/2013 11:06

Everyone loves them here - quick, easy and yummy.
Might make some damper for the little ones lunch too Smile

FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/04/2013 13:58

Hiya, can someone explain to the thick Irish doll, what's Damper & Anzac?

ladyarwenevenstar · 25/04/2013 15:37

isn't damper campfire cooking? I'm sure I've heard of damper bread. And ANZAC is ANZAC Day which remembers Australian and New Zealand forces in WII. I think it is an anniversary of a battle where a lot of them died? (I hope I'm right huff).

It was biscuits for pud at work today and I asked the cook if they were Anzac biscuits. She looked at me like I'd asked if they were made from pureed dog!

ladyarwenevenstar · 25/04/2013 15:38

AND DON'T CALL YOURSELF THAT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/04/2013 18:10

Oh that's interesting!! I didn't know that.

I lost half lb tonight! Happy with that but will keep going!! Have bought a new dress for holy comm next wk (will maybe post it on the pg to see what you think?). Anyway I can't afford to gain a lb in it!!!!

Huffpot · 25/04/2013 19:00

Its celebrated in Oz and New Zealand and its on the 25th April as thats when the troops landed on the beach at Gallipoli and it was basically a blood bath. Its in honour of all our service men and women who sacrifice for our country.
My boys have learnt "at the going down of the sun and in the morning we shall remember them - lest we forget" today and we listened to the last post on youtube at bedtime.
When they are older I shall take them into a dawn service in Central London

lady is right about damper - lovely, easy and delicious and traditionally cooked on a campfire and the biscuits are made from rolled oats, coconut and golden syrup.

fair don't be silly - you're not thick at all - I don't know the half of what goes on around the world!

Half a pound is good - any loss is a positive! Would love to see pic of the dress Smile

Hedgepig · 25/04/2013 21:48

Are you lot talking about biscuits??? Grin evening just plonking my lardy arse down

Huffpot · 26/04/2013 06:52

Yup biscuits mmmm Biscuit
is delighted to see Hedge and looks forward to her apparently lardy arse shrinking now she's back

ladyarwenevenstar · 26/04/2013 08:34

yay hedge, welcome back to the mad house fold.

I thought that was the one huff, I just couldn't spell it. (When we aren't channelling Middle Earth, DS1 is stuck in 1939 Hmm). I have always taken my boys to the War Memorial on Remembrance Day, though we don't often go to the church bit, I think it's important that they understand.

Hedgepig · 26/04/2013 09:39

Good start to the day for me Melon, strawb and FF yog, lets see if I can keep it upGrin

I have a bite on my leg from running the other evening I have a doctors appointment at 11.30 to get something to reduce the swelling (my ankle is puffing up Hmm).

Huffpot · 26/04/2013 09:41

I think its nice for them. I normally went to the dawn service before kids and then drank from 5.30am till I was sober again and it's very emotional. I'm anti war but those that died should be remembered

B: Eggs, beans, mushrooms, onions and toast
L: No idea as going to walk to a playgroup miles away then come home via the boys nursery to drop off their acceptance forms
D: Similarily clueless!

ladyarwenevenstar · 26/04/2013 16:28

Hi again guys.

Lovely dress FHF.

Nice to see a bit of chat in the other place tooSmile

this is going to sound a bit melodramatic, but I had a bit of a lightbulb moment this morning - felt crap so drove down to the sea, and as I was sat there I got a bit teary and thought, either I get out of the car and walk into the sea, or drive back and went to the GP for help. Am still here, have citalopram and 2 weeks off work, and am feeling pretty fragile and wrung out, but it's a step in the right direction I think. Have never cried in GPs room beforeBlush, but he was actually lovely.

Huffpot · 26/04/2013 16:34

Depression is an awful thing lady. My dad suffered for years before he got the courage to get help. When he was depressed he would get very angry and smash things and turn on all the lights in the middle of the night if someone flushed the loo to wake everyone up (I still have trouble flushing the toilet through the night at 35!)
The difference in him with the medication is amazing.

I think seeking help is a very hard thing to do and I am very, very proud of you huge enormous gigantic hugsThanks

FairhairedandFrustrated · 26/04/2013 18:55

Sweetheart, that was a very very brave thing to do this morning, I'm very proud of you. As you know, I've been there, I know what it's like, well done for asking for and taking the GPs advice.

I'm having a night off. Dh has been on nights for so long now, we're sharing a bottle of wine!!

ChocolateBridesmaid · 27/04/2013 08:31

Sorry, sorry, sorry, didn't have time to post my results on Thursday as was heading down to London with my sisters, DM and Dsil...having a fab time.

Anyway weigh in lost 3lb total of 5lb off since doing the 777, happy with that. Sorry not read thread up to date, will catch up properly when I am back home. Oooh can I just ask that you have your fingers crossed tomorrow for my DD as she has her Karate competition tomorrow , cheers

Have a great weekend :)

ladyarwenevenstar · 27/04/2013 11:26

thanks guys. I have been like this nearly all my adult life, and I've had enough now. Feeling shit today, wrapped up in a blanket just now, and have a stinking cold too. Keep moving forward.

good luck, chocolatekarate kid Smile

Huffpot · 28/04/2013 11:29

Well done on WI choc and hoping DD aces today

Lady hope the cold is easing up

I'm off out with the girls tonight and have already looked at the menu to pick my food and am thinking will avoid wine/alcohol altogether as its just not worth the syns Smile

ChocolateBridesmaid · 28/04/2013 23:46

Quick update: my DD did brilliantly, 1st in Kumite (sparring) and Second in her individual Kata so proud. Nationals are in three weeks so I will be a nervous wreck again then.

Food wise, been very bad as since Thursday as I have been in London and not stuck to plan. Doing my shopping tomorrow so will be getting back on track by Monday eve (can't do shop till after work) hopefully all the chocolate will be gone in work tomorrow :)

Hedgepig · 29/04/2013 07:26

Well done to your DD, Chocolate and the reasonable eating while away.

My w/e has been patchy Grin. As soon as I have a sniff of wine the old will power disappears! I know the answer is to stop wine.

Lady how are you feeling today ? I am very impressed with you taking the plunge and speaking to the Dr, it's a big step and you have been brave (((hugs)))

Huffpot · 30/04/2013 19:17

Hooray for DD choc!

Off into the city Moorefields tomorrow for DS's electrodiagnostic tests. Am hoping he's not too difficult through it as he's only 3 but they should handle it well as its the paedatric department there. Am trying to plan out my food as his appointment is at 1.30 and will take about an hour to get there so will leave super early as don't want to be late. I think I'll save my HEB and bring a ham salad sandwich and fruit Smile
WI tomorrow and hopefully a loss to get me closer to my stone

Asda have frylight for £1.98 if anyone needs to stock up

B: Beans on toast and cuppa (orange before)
L: Mushy pea curry and rice (loads of mangetout before)
D: Pork chops, mash and green beans
