Did I miss the magic knickers chat?????

Anywhooo hello girls , were are you all??

I have just had the most amazing yummy scrummy dinner for 8 points. 2 Lobster ravioli (from waitrose) and only 2 tbls of a homemade cream/wine sauce. I know the sauce was naughty Coddy , but I have included it in todays points & I had salad with it. I even have enough left for some more fruit today. I have had a really healthy day .All 5 fresh fruit & veg points/calcium/fish & fibre.

Hows everyone getting on : Hula & Becca hows the spreadsheet going?? I love using yours Hula. Nearly over my WW wiegh in nightmare, keep getting leader flashbacks!!!!

melsy · 10/01/2004 20:12

Lisa78 wot are you doing????

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:14

I am afraid I only have the M&S version of the knickers - firm hold though so you get a nice smooth line. There are a range of styles at M&S from things to ones that look like cycling shorts.

The 'real' magic knickers are supposed to be fab, but expensive. Not sure where you can get them though.

melsy · 10/01/2004 20:15

Hi Hula

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:16

Melsy - the spreadsheet is so useful, thanks. I try and enter things as I go, or in the evening. I have added another formula to work out how may points I have carried over for my weekend alcohol too. I have one for me and one for DH.

melsy · 10/01/2004 20:21

Cool - you might have to send me that formula ?? Cant think straight to do it.

melsy · 10/01/2004 20:23

A question girls

What do you do if you are still hungry on 18 pt a day?? I am getting this alot and dont know what to do. I try eating veg but it doesnt help tummy rumbles??? I have a very good appetite and love my food soooo much.

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:24

'Cos you can't save more than 4 points I manually work out how many I have saved and type under the total for the day. Then I simple do a addition formula to add them all up and have it really big next to the weekend! You have to remember to put a minus sign next to any where/of you go over though. I have saved 11 for tomorrow!

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:25

I have to say that I don't really get hungry now. First couple of days I did in the evening but tried to keep busy instead.I don't tend to snack at all when dieting at that is my downfall.
Dh finds apples are good for him to stem off hunger.

codswallop · 10/01/2004 21:04

Melsy, you sound like a differnet owman!1 sooo much more positive

ae you only on 18 points too? the way you go on you sound like you have tonnes to lose

re the snacking

Have been looking the ww message boards.
they all have little logos and "motivational messages" of the cliche variety - little pickers wear big knickers etc

Lets all join one and post rapid weight loss..
tee hee

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 21:14

I need to drink more water I think. I only have a small glass or two a day. Find it so boring though; much rather have a diet coke, a tea or something.

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 21:16

Anyone same as me? I am on a measly 18 points whereas DH gets 30 points a day. I hate that hge gap between what I can have and he can have. Do you know how many chocolates bars that could be?!

codswallop · 10/01/2004 21:17

me too me on 18 dh on 32! Big bloke....

150percent · 10/01/2004 21:22

No coddy - it's all those "I've lost 6 lbs in a week" messages that just put me off. Unless I give birth I NEVER lose more than 2lbs in a week, and usually not even that. Even the 3/4 lbs weight loss by others here this week depressed me...

Demented · 10/01/2004 21:24

Question: How bad is drinking half a bottle of red wine?

I'm also really hungry tonight. I had some tuna and pasta salad for dinner but now want chocolate, crisps, toast with lashings of butter, etc, etc, someone please stop me!!!!!!!

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 21:25

Demented - half a bottle of wine is 375ml I think so between 3.5 and 4 points.

Demented · 10/01/2004 21:28

150percent, I lost 4lbs this week (please believe me I am not gloating) but if you look at my previous posts I was definately retaining fluid, had been at my parents' house for four days and had put on 6lbs (IMO surely not possible to put on 6lbs of fat in four days so much of that must have been fluid). I think when I got home and started moving about again it started to come off. At the rate I am going this week I will be lucky to lose 1lb. 1lb-2lb a week is a healthy weight loss that you are more likely to keep off, so please don't worry if that is all you are losing.

Demented · 10/01/2004 21:28

Hulababy, so on top of my Noodle Bar extravagances today probably not good then?

Demented · 10/01/2004 21:29

150percent you will probably be able to laugh at me this Thursday's weigh-in!

150percent · 10/01/2004 21:41

Demented, I know that I'm being totally irrational - the idea of quick weight loss is always so appealing though! And so I only seem to lose weight when I concentrate on diet AND exercise - which just seems bloody hard work at times. Still it will (eventually) be worth it...

Lisa78 · 10/01/2004 21:43

sorry about the links big mammas! DH was showing me how to do them cos mine go wrong everytime
Still none the wiser, he got all technical on me

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 21:44

Anyone know of a site which has a table of 'ideal' wieghts at all. So I know what I ought to be aiming for, and DH too.

Demented · 10/01/2004 21:51

Hulababy, someone posted them on the first thread, I'll see if I can find them.
