Confess all here

I see some have already been to check in this morning - fab!

So how are you all doing? I'm sensing that there's been a bit of wibbling and wobbling going on (present company included) so maybe it's time to have a couple of super strict weeks?

Given that the party season will soon be underway, a couple of Bootcamp weeks should consolidate our losses and hopefully get a few more of those pesky pounds out of the way.

That sounds nasty Jess do you know what caused it?

Am already in the office

hurricanewyn · 14/11/2012 07:17

Jess & BIWI - Get well soon.

Poor you, Willie - that's very early. Will you get to finish early?

Bit of boasting here - new stone! Only just barely, but it counts Grin

SingingTunelessly · 14/11/2012 07:38

Morning!

Urgh Jess that sounds grim.

Hurracaine well done! That stone figure moving is such a great feeling isn't it. Grin

Goodness Willie you're an early bird.

WillieWaggledagger · 14/11/2012 07:57

i am an early morning person and work a 1hr 15min drive away from home, so tend to arrive and leave early to get the best of the traffic. this is pretty early even for me though, but it is a particularly busy time

hurrah for hurricane - those milestones do feel good

captainmummy · 14/11/2012 08:23

Sounds awful BIWI - get better soon.

Hurricane - hooray for your mile'stone'!

Willie - i did lol at an 'acciental walk!'

Re the calender - who needs the actual calender? Just a tot 30ml shot of voddy and toast the day! (maybe not first thing tho)

MrsHerculePoirot · 14/11/2012 09:33

Whoop whoop! Hurricanewyn I am doing a happy dance with you - my scales showed 15 stone 13 this moning. Yes that is UNDER that 16 stone mark I have been hovering above off and on since about blimmin June!

Hope everyone who is feeling under the weather feels better soon. I've got a bit or lurgy, blocked ears, cold etc.. but only a little bit and that loss has cheered me right up this morning! I ate loads last night, but all lc stuff, just goes to show that calories is most definitely NOT the answer to weight loss!!!

Can you tell I'm quite pleased? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

vnmum · 14/11/2012 09:44

toomuchsorry about the news

Ill bootcampers hope you are all feeling well again soon

I appear to have gained a few pounds. it is totm so could be that along with water retention in my muscles from a beasting with jillian ( how can you be so sore after only 30 mins, where my muscles join my ribs are even sore to touch Grin),and not managing to drink enough water at work. must try harder to get the water down me.

This is my first week of shifts and it is making for some long days so I am not getting as many workouts in as i'd hoped but hopefully next week i will be more used to it and can get cracking

EwanHoozami · 14/11/2012 09:53

Oh Jess I'm sorry about your poisoning, it's grim isn't it? Do you know what made you ill?

I was ill from an Ocado prawn - I complained and they conveniently 'forgot' to send a SAE to analyse the rest of the pack and now say there's nothing they can do about it Angry I lost two days freelance work that I was relying on for bill-paying purposes. Hmf.

Aaaaaanyway, all better now.

Big Huzzah for MrsHercule and hurricanewyn - bloody well done.

MsRinky · 14/11/2012 09:53

I have just bought that Shred DVD but I'm scared, haven't even taken the cellophane off it yet. Do I need weights ? I haven't got any weights.

hurricanewyn · 14/11/2012 09:57

MrsHP - yay! It's a great feeling, isn't it?

EwanHoozami · 14/11/2012 10:05

MsRinsky I used to use two multipacks of tuna cans

Doshusallie · 14/11/2012 10:51

Morning all.

Alpro yoghurt for breakfast.

Swam 50 lengths - it was hard going, haven't been for ages.

Looks like my lunch and tea will be leftover shepherds pie.

MrsHerculePoirot · 14/11/2012 11:16

Hurricanewyn my class are doing a test and I just want to jump around and be excited!!!! I have a christening this weekend and am away all weekend. I have planned as best I can to make sensible choices eg I am cooking lasagne and salad for everyone on Friday night and will make us an emmenthal version so will be subtle. We are having lunch on on Saturday as main meal so will be able to choose something sensible then I am sure as will most probably be a pub place and they always have steak and can subs chips for salad! Sat night my SIL is providing soup, bread and cheese, DH and I are going to ensure there is enough salad for both nights and take some pate (to have on celery/cucumber) and our own soup made from veg from our veg box which I forgot to cancel so that should be fine we can just ignore the bread. Breakfasts in a cottage will obviously be fine as cooking them ourselves, going to fill up on Sunday morning and have snacks in my bag to get me through to dinner hopefully! Now I've seen that 15 I am determined never to see a 16 again!!!

butterfliesinmytummy · 14/11/2012 11:20

Just to cheer everyone up:

Once again this year, I?ve had requests for my Vodka Christmas Cake recipe so here goes. Please keep in your files as I am beginning to get tired of typing this up every year! (Made mine this morning!!!!)

1 cup sugar,
1 tsp. baking powder,
1 cup water,
...
1 tsp. salt ,
1 cup brown sugar,
Lemon juice,
4 large eggs,
Nuts,
1 bottle Vodka,
2 cups dried fruit.

Sample a cup of Vodka to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Vodka again to be sure it is of the highest quality then Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the Vodka is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor, wash it and put it in the bowl a piece at a time trying to count it. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver Sample the Vodka to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the Vodka. Now shit shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the Vodka and wipe the counter with the cat.Grin

Hope everybody is feeling a little better soon, I am off to work the elections tomorrow, so its a 6am start and a midnight finish. God knows what I will take to eat. Any ideas?? Confused

Doshusallie · 14/11/2012 15:34

I love that Half, I saw it on FB. Grin Grin

I have a mountain of shepherds pie if you fancy any of that?

halfthesize · 14/11/2012 15:37

shepherds pie sounds lovely Dosh thinking of taking some soup as have a microwave this yearSmile

hurricanewyn · 14/11/2012 16:20

Ooh half - I'm doing the election tomorrow as well & thinking about what to eat too. I'm in a portakabin, so no kettle or fridge - I'm thinking a cold omlette for breakfast, tuna mayo for lunch & cold roast chicken for dinner.

I'm going to be freezing!

halfthesize · 14/11/2012 18:50

hurricanewyn I have just made a chicken salad and taking a big flask of soup. Will obviously be taking tea coffee etc, not sure we will need fridges at this rateGrin Im in an old church room with 1 portable heater, thermals, coat and glovesWink
Its going to be a long day I fear!!

halfthesize · 14/11/2012 18:52

Sorry just re read and realised you have no kettle either, can you get anyone to drop off hot drinks throughout the day?
Im in Northamptonshire and not far from PIL so hoping they will pop in if needed, but I do have a fridge this yearSmile

hurricanewyn · 14/11/2012 19:00

I'm going to be in Asda's carpark - I'll be able to get hot drinks and use the loo there. I used to be in a library - was great, warm, a full kitchen & lots of books for when it's quiet. Not quite the same now.

Will definitely be wearing lots of layers too Grin

halfthesize · 14/11/2012 21:19

Me too, layers layers layersGrin
