We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Well done youcan and human. Good results.

Youcan, I had a couple of weeks where I didn't lose anything and I was really being good, I think sometimes the body clings onto fat or there's a time lag between when you cut down and when the weight comes off. 2.2 is good, if I lost that every week I would be delighted.

I lost 2.9 (can I call it 3?). I'm 12 st 7 so I feel i'm properly in the 12s and I can't go back to 13 with one big dinner. Target next week is to no longer be obese (not so hard as BMi is 30.1)

Measured my bum and waist at the weekend and there have been no changes for weeks. Don't know where I'm losing it from.

Goonatic · 12/11/2012 08:31

Well dne everyone! I am so pissed off, how can a pizza add 4lbs???? Sad
I had lost a pound on Friday, was good at the weekend except the pizza and am 14.6 on the scales????

Grrr I am going to weigh in on a Friday and then post that on a Monday!!!!!!

Youcanringmybell · 12/11/2012 08:32

Well done johnny

You have done fab. Hopefully in the next two weeks I will be at 2.7 too!! I am determined. You will be out of that obese section very very soon Wink

FedUpOfRain · 12/11/2012 08:42

youcan thats a really healthy loss, well done!!

I have somehow lost (nearly) 2 lbs. I wasn't expecting much and I'm really pleased and now want to try harder for this week. Aiming to get under 11 stone by next Monday.

Well done everyone!!

Youcanringmybell · 12/11/2012 09:45

Goon it suspect the salt from the pizza has made you retain water...NO WAY is that fat and I really think that you will have a fab loss this week. Weigh on friday if you need to - makes no difference. are you ok?

well done FED UP - you will be in the 10's Shock

ICBINEG · 12/11/2012 09:58

Hi all! Well done everyone - especially goon because when the water bounce comes off you WILL have lost :).

So I am only 1lb down (to 11 st 12 lb) which is my first 2lb goal miss in nearly 2 months...but tbh I am a little relieved. It turns out if I eat the chocolate and eat the free lunches, I don't lose as much weight! So my efforts are what has got me down and my efforts are what are needed again!

but I am also a little angry. I thought I was making more permanent changes, but it turns out that when things go shit I lose all ability to control what I eat. It is like a light switch has failed, I kept pressing the 'no I don't need to eat that button' but nothing was happening.

I suppose I could always take away the fact that at least I kept pressing the button...and didn't go nuts and get take out or anything...

Anyway, the problem is not going anywhere - my DM had her scan but apparently her post scan meeting can't be until 27th nov because her consultant is away on hols. Is this really right? Shouldn't someone else from the team see her or something Confused?

Goonatic · 12/11/2012 10:37

Ahh thanks youcan and ich you are lovely!

I would certainly question that ich it is another long time to wait to get results, can you phone and push them one it???

And my button has BROKEN! I need a new one. Am off out to buy one, will send you a new one too! Grin

ICBINEG · 12/11/2012 10:50

ohh thanks goon...I'd like a button that plays a short video clip of me meeting the Doctor and getting whisked away in the Tardis not only because I am smart and perky, yet wear my heart on my sleeve...but also because I am slim and goddess-like in the cleavage department....

TheHumancatapult · 12/11/2012 11:59

Youcanringmybell · 12/11/2012 12:57

You lot are gonna laugh so hard now....but I am almost in tears!!

So I am going for an interview at a preschool that is next door to my sons nursery. As I was leaving today my son wanted to open the door and decided to have a meltdown - big time- epic style. This happens fairly rarely, I can usually distarct or pacify him with bribes etc This all happened right in front of the two people interviewing me this afternoon Shock Sad They were coming through the same door and my son refused to move out of their way....

I managed to carry him around the corner out of sight but he hit me, punched me, kicked, tried very hard to bite my hand (i had gloves on) and basically went ballistic at me. Of all the times to do it..I am fairly sure the staff would have heard the screaming but did not see the physical. This is unchracteristic...what are the chances eh???

OMG - I kept majorly calm until I got in (five min walk) then I went postal. Then I collapsed with a coffee, sausage roll and chocolate brownie. I made up with my son (he was very upset when he saw how angry and upset I was) and we had a cuddle. Now I am all out of sinc and not sure what the staff saw....Normally I would have told him off but didn't want to go mental in the street around potential employers....oh d'you know...I am giving up on trying to get anywhere at the moment.

Goonatic · 12/11/2012 13:14

Right, ignore my email, poor you. What a sod that is happened in front of them. I am sure they saw you dealing with it in a far better way than most people would have done!!!! You can make a joke of it this afternoon, maybe you could say niceto see you again, without my son attached t me or something like that...... What time are you in?

human that is NOT what I thought you looked like, I saw you as much older, with short hair!!!!!!!! You are bloody gorgeous!!!

TheHumancatapult · 12/11/2012 13:18

ICBINEG · 12/11/2012 13:18

youcan Why on earth would we laugh? You poor thing - that was majorly bad timing.

But surely no one expects kids to never have melt downs...and it sounds like you did all the things I would expect someone working with children to do?

It wouldn't have put me off employing you at all...if anything it would be a tick in the box labelled "can cope with a tantruming child."?

TheHumancatapult · 12/11/2012 13:19

thats pinch her tiara not pinch her Blush

ICBINEG · 12/11/2012 13:20
