Virtual Gastric Band Hypnosis App?!

I've just seen this in the Apple App Store - does anybody know anything about it or tried it? It seems to have good reviews but its not cheap a £7.49!

I need something to control snacking (eating DDs leftovers in particular) and my portions - which are huge. I also need inspiration to lost about a stone in 7 weeks for a wedding in June, for which I need to fit into a dress I last wore 6 years and 2 DCs ago.
Any thoughts? Shall I give it a go?

Another happy Easyloss convert here - you can't beat it - it's fantastic value for £4.99 - lets face it, that's just about the price of a starbucks coffee!

Did you know there's an excellent page on Facebook for support with the app? It's really friendly and there always seems to be someone around with the right answer! (phew!)

Anyhow, have a search on FB for Easyloss Virtual Gastric Band and you'll find it!

Bindibach · 03/06/2014 19:28

When I go on the Easyloss Site it says that is about £600 (approx.) for 6 sessions?

landedonmyfeet1 · 04/06/2014 09:48

@Bindibach...I think that's if you go to see them at their clinic. The app is in the app store. I'm not sure but I think if I post the link here for you then my post would get removed. If you go to the app store and type in James Holmes Virtual Gastric band that should help you find it. It's a shame that I can't just give you the link that would be so much easier for you.
Hope you find it ok.

Bindibach · 04/06/2014 10:59

Thanks Landed. I have an android. Will put it in the search feed of my app store and see if I get anything. Thanks for being so helpful. Smile

Hi all,
I've just ordered the cd's after reading all your posts. Very inspiring!
Has anyone just started this recently and seen results?

somerandom · 17/06/2014 22:02

Hi Landed - Yes I was here from pretty much the beginning. I lost 37lb over the course of 5 months and have kept it off for nearly 2 years now. This has been life changing for me and I feel a bit emotional being back on this thread. I was one of the original defectors to the FB page. I can't speak highly enough of this app & the support you can get from the FB group.

CormoranStrike · 18/10/2014 20:47

I started this four weeks ago and have lost over a stone. Love it.

Mrsstarlord · 22/02/2015 21:05

ZOMBIE THREAD ALERT!!!!!
Just downloaded this and done two days.
Please tell me it works?!
Want to lose about 7 - 10 lbs.
Definitely more interested in healthy food but struggling with eating slowly and not carrying on till I feel full.
Any handy hints?

Hi, I'm not that good with technology, so I've ordered a virtual gastric band hypnosis book and cd. I've only managed to lose a great amount of weight twice, when I got divorced and then later at group session, however both times I put it all back on and more!!! I'm xx old and now have to have medication for type 2 diabetes. I'm stuck in a hard place, I HAVE to lose weight to come off the medicine, (which is whole other story) but my slippy disc in my back won't let me exercise. I'm very over weight and someone recently asked when I was due!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the mummy apron that didn't spring back after no' 4😔 Now while I'm waiting for my book to arrive, are there any new threads for this type of weight loss or tips etc....

anna4142 · 31/07/2016 15:25

Oh I'm trying this as I tried the self hypnobirthing with no'4 as I was petrified of the pain and it worked wonders!!! So I'm very much looking forward to trying self hypnosis for weight loss!!!

Makemineboozefree · 03/07/2018 21:01

Is anyone who posted on here originally still using the app? Or anyone who started recently doing well on it? The feedback at the start of this thread was so good I'm thinking of giving it a go myself.

ThatsNotMyUnicorn · 04/07/2018 07:12

I started recently into my 2nd week and lost 5lbs so far! Can't believe how easy I'm finding it-just need to make time to fit more exercise into my day.

Makemineboozefree · 04/07/2018 08:34

Thank you ThatsNotMyUnicorn, that's great to hear! It almost sounds too good to be true! I'm going to start it today. Hopefully by reviving this thread we'll find a few more using it.

ThatsNotMyUnicorn · 05/07/2018 07:25

How much are you hoping to loose makemineboozefree? Hope you find the first week as easy as I did!

SoHumble · 06/07/2018 21:53

I’ve been using a few different Easy Loss apps for the past 18 months. I was a terrible binge eater, yo young up and down the same couple of Stone all my adult life.

It’s made a huge difference to my eating. I don’t weigh myself but I’m in size 10-12 clothes and tried on my wedding dress last week for my 10 year anniversary and it comfortably fit.

I vary the hypnosis tracks I listen to as I’m drifting off to sleep. Currently listening to the sugar stop ones for a change. I’ve never listened further than stage one on the gastric band app. Was quite happy to stay on that.

landedonmyfeet1 · 21/07/2018 15:15

Hi makemineboozefree I just saw your post on this thread. I started using the Virtual Gastric Band - Lose Weight Fast app way back in the beginning and I've never put on any of the weight I lost. I found the people who created are able to help people on Skype too. I found out about it here www.hantshypno.co.uk I'm sure they'd be able to let you about other people who are doing as well as me. And they've got the Facebook support group you can join and it's all free. Amazing really, I reckon. Anyway, though I'd just let you know that I for one am still slim from using the app. xx

SamanthaLA · 23/07/2018 11:27

This is the best approach I've ever used. It is do-able for ever and a day. Farewell diets, I've lost 13lbs so far and the Facebook group is an essential to asking questions and feeling support.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 01/08/2018 22:12

Going to download this app tomorrow. Do I need to listen to it as I fall asleep at bedtime or just any point in the day when I can find some time away from the kids! Grin

Makemineboozefree · 04/08/2018 08:39

Apologies for not coming back sooner to respond! I didn't start the app straight away after I posted, because I didn't feel quite in the right head space to start. I think I was scared of what it meant - letting go of the diet mentality I've been enslaved by for decades and also I was worried it meant I would have to stop being sociable with friends and family if I couldn't eat and drink what I wanted well.

Well, I started the app on Thursday and now I'm kicking myself for not starting sooner! The trigger was my OH uploading lots of old pictures to our new digital photo frame - it was shocking to see how much weight I've piled on in the past few years and how middle aged and frumpy I've become. The camera never lies! (Well, except on Instagram, with filters and photoshopping, but you know what I mean!)

I haven't weighed myself yet and shan't for a week or so, but already I feel so much better after listening to the app. I'm also eating healthier foods, taking my time when eating, and only eating when hungry. And I've noticed "The Sigh" already! And it didn't impact me going out for a late tea with my OH and DC yesterday - I had a burger, but without the bun and with salad on the side and found I was too full to finish it (again, I heard "The Sigh"!). It was quite the revelation.

I've joined the FB and am so inspired by the stories and pictures on there. I'm also really grateful landedonmyfeet1 and SoHumble for you sharing your stories of long-term loss and maintenance, because I was curious as to whether the weight stays off. Great to know it does!

And how are you doing now, ThatsNotMyUnicorn? I'm not setting myself a weight goal - I'm going by what the app says and aim to lose whatever my body needs to.

How are you getting on, WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream? I'm listening in the morning at the moment as it's setting me up in a great, positive way for the rest of the day.

Makemineboozefree · 04/08/2018 08:40

Joined the FB group, I meant to say.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 04/08/2018 10:52

Hi @Makemineboozefree I haven't downloaded it yet. I'm not sure why, I think I'm scared of failing and I'm a way scared of not eating all the stuff I love anymore. I'm also scared it's not going to work and I've got my hopes up too much! It just seems too good to be true Shock

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 04/08/2018 10:53

What's the name of the FB group? I've searched and can't find the proper page

Makemineboozefree · 04/08/2018 13:08

That exactly how I was at first WakeUp! Really scared to try it. But already I'm seeing benefits, mostly that it's taking away the constant thinking about eating. This morning I went to have my usual breakfast at the usual time and realised about three mouthfuls in that I simply wasn't hungry yet, so I left it. Now I'm about to eat lunch because I can actually tell I'm properly hungry. I can't remember the last time I was so aware of my hunger signals - probably when I was a child! So even if I don't lose any weight, I'll still see it as a success because I can see already it's taking away the mental anguish I have around food and dieting and my weight.

Look up Sue and James' Virtual Gastric Band Support Group on FB and you'll find it. I don't want to link here in case MN object and take the post down.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 04/08/2018 17:28

@Makemineboozefree I'm confused as to which app I need... the 12 weeks to wow one which seems to be the one the Facebook group use but some people seem to be using the Easyloss one... the 12 week to wow one is coming up as free in my App Store?
