It is funny how you can start being greedy isn't it :o I set out hoping to lose 4 or 5lbs, but now I have lost 4 in one week, I want to make it another 4 this week!

cardoon · 23/04/2012 07:43

10.9 this AM

3lb off

Grin

I've been lo-carbing since September, but have been suffering from a bad case of carb-creep since Christmas - so thank you BIWI for the kick up the bum, and loving the % weight loss from Getorf!

WillieWaggledagger · 23/04/2012 07:44

I know mrsnouveau - i had a couple of weeks where I lost 5-6 lb and was very disappointed with a 3lb loss later! I had to give myself a talking to

11st on the dot, so 4lb in total last week. sure I will be in the tens after this next week

smokinaces · 23/04/2012 07:47

157lb this morning. Switched to lbs as my scales are getting a wee bit old and seems the most reliable reading. So that's another 1lb and 4 in a week. Happy with that - my average when low carbing is 3.5 a week. Would like to be 153 something by the end of this week, so another 3.5+ so I'm back in the 10s.

RadioSilence · 23/04/2012 07:51

10st 3lb this morning, so another 2 off making 4lb loss in total.

I am really pleased but have reached the point a lot of you had earlier in the week where I can't be bothered to eat. I do make sure I eat something at each mealtime, but am hoping I will get my food mojo back soon.

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 23/04/2012 08:00

Radio - go out and buy yourself something really yummy as a treat. And I don't mean something sugary! I went to our new Waitrose recently and bought myself a piece of fillet steak, and fried it in their luscious Brittany butter with rock salt crystals, and that had a green salad with a garlicky olive oil dressing.

Absolutely lovely! Obviously too expensive to eat every day, but I really, really enjoyed it.

GreenEyesAndHam · 23/04/2012 08:11

Fantastic results!

My results- 6lb lost for the week

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 23/04/2012 08:15

Week 2 chat is here

Motivational rant speech from me to kick it off ...

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 23/04/2012 08:15

Great result, GreenEyes!

ilovemyteddy · 23/04/2012 08:18

Brilliant results everyone!

Weight this morning is 192lb exactly so only a 0.6lb loss for me this week but I'm not too disappointed with that as I am in this for the long haul and am bang on target to reach my goal of 147lb by the end of September.

GreenEyesAndHam · 23/04/2012 08:18

Thanks BIWI!

I was almost teary this morning, because I can see such a difference already in my stomach Blush

I must increase the exercise this week though, no fannying about from now on

doradoo · 23/04/2012 08:35

Monday weigh-in - up slightly on yesterday so current weight 82,7kg a loss of 600g this week.

Lots of cheating over the weekend - wine and prob too much dairy / high card veg (DH cooks at the weekend and tried his best but was a bit confused..)

Still overall down and an inch off my waist too and feeling much less bloated and full of energy.

Now can ketosis feel like a cold/minty feeling in your mouth - is that the 'metallic' taste I'm after? If so have finally made it!

WizzyBizzy · 23/04/2012 08:41

Morning. Can't stop as off swimming with the DCs any second.

I'm down to 9st10lb I think.

The only thing I'm certain of is that I need new scales and I seem to be going in the right direction. Would like to see a bit more movement though! Put my tight jeans on this morning. They are still...really tight. This is more important to me that the weight tbh, so I have renewed enthusiasm this morning to do better this week. Less dairy and watch out for some of those higher carb veg.

flipflopflap · 23/04/2012 08:47

Morning! I'm 10st 6lb this morning. Got into some of my 'slim' jeans yesterday, but they still a little bit tight for comfort, fingers crossed for after bootcamp!

Plus, I really really need new scales, I can't see mine and have to stand for ages trying to focus! Off to have a look on amazon if anyone has any recommendations?

vnmum · 23/04/2012 09:00

well if I'd officially weighed in yesterday it would have been a pound loss, but even after a poo a seem to have gained it back this morning so it is a STS again! Grrrr

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 23/04/2012 09:02

flipflopflap - I bought these Weight Watcher digital ones from Boots, which seem OK (I think they were more expensive at Boots)

www.amazon.co.uk/Weight-Watchers-8991BU-Precision-Electronic/dp/B0007VHVVS/ref=sr_1_1?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1335168101&sr=1-1

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 23/04/2012 09:02

... they have all manner of techy settings, can measure your body fat etc, but I've never worked out how to use those - just get on them and weigh myself Blush

londonlottie · 23/04/2012 09:12

Weighing in here - weighed this morning after a few weeks of not being able to face it. 200lb on the nose. FFS.

Anyway - starting today I'm doing something about it. Fiddledefat - thanks for the link to this thread; congrats on your 8 pound loss... fab!!

ShirtyKnot · 23/04/2012 09:23

No change for me today.

NotMostPeople · 23/04/2012 09:23

Morning all weighing in this morning at 11 st 10lbs - that's a 4lb loss.

I'm happy with that, I did some minor cheating with a couple of birthday glasses of wine so I know I can do better this week and am actually enjoying it.

flipflopflap · 23/04/2012 09:25

Thanks BIWI, going to order them, as it looks like I'll be able to see my weight clearly enough. Must take note to go get eyes checked as well!

ANTagony · 23/04/2012 09:27

I'm weighing in this morning as 15st 8lb. DH is 16st 11lb. So not bad for a week but feel a little disappointed after such a big weight loss first few days.

We have a full fridge of yummy food and went to a full size supermarket on Sunday so have the delights of coconut oil and golden linseed in for the store cupboard. I might try oopsie rolls later I was thinking they'd work well as a drop scone/ scotch pancake next week, after bootcamp, with blueberries.

Thank you for keeping the thread going. Those who are doing well are an inspiration and those who express their frustration are a great support in avoiding feelings of isolation.

MariaCallous · 23/04/2012 09:39

No change on yesterday - starting weigh 9st 10, 7 lb loss, current weight 9st 3.

Can't tell you how much this has helped me BIWI. I am viral which always makes me emotional BUT I really feel like I am getting ME back. I've had a pretty demanding few years with being continually pregnant or miscarrying or having babies and breastfeeding. Plus a whopping case of depression and lots of other stuff.

I've kind of lost track of myself as so many of us do and just focusing on doing something for me has made me feel so much better (regardless of the weight loss which is an absolute boon). I went through my wardrobe at the weekend and threw out my frump clothes bought in a rush in M&S which I loath, sorted my jewellery, put on some fake tan and just invested time in me. I have always had a bit of funk going on in my personal style and looking in the mirror it wasn't there. I will get it back and walk tall and not feel like a dowdy mouse in a corner and that's thanks in large part to the motivation that all on this thread and especially BIWI have given me.

And no. I haven't been on the (lovely) wine.

PorkyandBess · 23/04/2012 09:39

Morning! I was 10 st 7 this am, so I have lost 5.5 since last Monday. I drank loads of wine at weekend, so I am happy with this.

Some of you have lost loads Envy

Twit · 23/04/2012 10:19

Right then, a bit weird this, but I've lost 5lbs Shock I was expecting 2 or 3 if I was lucky.
I'm not sure where from tbh and do bear in mind this pre-shite Wink
