The previous thread was getting a bit full so I thought I should start a new one while we could still link between them.

Actually that site is worth reading just for the translations alone! [bugrin]

TheGoddessBlossom · 07/04/2012 17:22

eggs and tomatoes for brekkie - greek yog with berries for lunch - curry with broccolli (you know that traditional Easter meal [bugrin] for tea tonight. several handfuls of unsalted nuts for snack. LOADS of water.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 07/04/2012 18:47

oh BIWI I saw them in a magazine advert. off for a nosy, I love my noodles.

PaquesJeLeVauxBien · 07/04/2012 20:09

They're not bad - a bit rubbery, but sort of like a cross between a rice noodle and spaghetti. But definitely worth tracking down!

teaandthorazine · 07/04/2012 20:22

Ds is off to Italy, lucky thing - spiritual home of carbs though!

Am at the theatre, watching a rather shouty production of the crucible. Managed japanese chicken salad (ignored the noodles) but am on 2nd glass of cab sauv. Popped into hotel chocolat on th way and bought myself 80% ecuadorian choc and some 70% cooking choc buttons - haven't dug in yet'

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 07/04/2012 21:14

on the blurb it said keep rinsing as they smell a bit fishy! oh that would put me right off me noodles. Grin

I havent drank enough water today and boy can I feel it?

PaquesJeLeVauxBien · 07/04/2012 21:16

They don't smell fishy at all - I have no idea where that comes from!

Creamtea1 · 07/04/2012 22:07

Sorry for asking again but i can't find it - can someone post the recipe for chocolate poo? Thanks

teaandthorazine · 08/04/2012 11:10

Dropped 2lbs! Woohoo! And am still in ketosis despite two glasses of wine and a square or two of the 80% choc last night - woohoo again!

Unfortunately I think today's going to be a bit of a write-off. Going to my parents' for lunch, my brother is cooking roast lamb with all the trimmings, there will be pudding...and wine... and easter eggs. We'll see, am going to try my best Grin

Dp bought me greek yoghurt - with honey. Oh well. I had a little bit for breakfast - it's all going to be about the damage limitation next week!

Need to drink some more water though, definitely.

PaquesJeLeVauxBien · 08/04/2012 11:20

Well done! If you can up your water it should also help you in the damage limitation too!

Thankfully no Easter chocolate around for me. I bought eggs for DH and both my boys, but all has been scoffed without me seeing - or even being tempted, if I'm honest.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 08/04/2012 12:06

DS has taken his egg to his room and scoffed most of it - so temptation is gone... except I stole one of DD mini eggs and then a penny size piece of chocolate from her egg. I have asked her to put it away as it is currently sitting on the coffee table tempting me. So - damage limitation I have made some creamy chocolate with 85% choc and some cream, waiting for it to cool.

Water being drunk.

lemniscate · 08/04/2012 12:29

I've had one mini egg and a bit of molten dark choc/butter mix while DS made choc cornflake nests. Just made choc almonds to nibble while they have their eggs - doing egg hunt when weather brightens - well almonds are vaguely egg shaped, aren't they?Smile Super easy - Melt dark choc, mix in whole almonds, roll in some cocoa. Thank you Nigel Slater for saving my Easter!Grin

vnmum · 08/04/2012 13:35

I had quite alot of vodka with diet lemonade last night, first time i've drunk on this diet and I did get drunk quicker but I drank loads of water before bed and during the night and had a lie in and the hangover has not been as bad as i expected, unlike DH who drank less than me and is still in bed!

Had scrambled eggs made with double cream, bacon and cheesey coleslaw for brunch. Surprisingly I didn't crave carbs last night or this morning. I have had a small peice of easter egg but it was only small and not that good to be honest.

Creamtea1 · 08/04/2012 19:22

well as I didn't get a reply I took a guess at some kind of choc concoction . 5 squares g&b 85% melted in to half a small tub double cream with some dessicated coconut mixed in. Currently cooling in fridge . Have been totally good yesterday and today, no deviations.

teaandthorazine · 08/04/2012 20:33

That sounds gooood, creamtea, and well done on the no deviations - can't say I've been quite so strong willed! But actually my choc egg doesn't taste so good, so it might end up in the bin after all...

lemniscate · 09/04/2012 09:33

Back on the diet today, no deviations from now on. I have been restrained but not good this weekend. Anyway Easter is in the past and today is a new week Smile I had a sneaky onion bhaji first thing (can totally recommend the india and neris ones, even nicer cold next morning Smile) and then sausage with mushroom and tomato omelette later. Beef salad for lunch, moussaka and green veg for dinner. Taking DCs swimming, and will try and do a run between rain showers.

Whippoorwhill · 09/04/2012 11:05

Had my first cheat since the end of February, this Sunday. I had two Ferrero Roche eggs and a bag of mini Malteser Bunnies. It made my tummy bloated and hurty and were far too sweet so I won't be doing that again in a hurry.

On the plus side i weighed this morning and I'm down below 13 stone for the first time in years.

Stresstoimpress · 09/04/2012 11:37

Good for you whip

ilovemyteddy · 09/04/2012 12:55

Well done Whip! I'm looking forward to the day that I'm below 13 stone. Not too far away now - hopefully boot camp will sort me out.

I had two Roses chocs and a tiny Lindt egg, plus half a hot cross bun yesterday and have ended up at exactly the same weight as I was last Monday so I'm not too disappointed. Had a cinnamon MiM with loads of butter for brekkie and have just eaten salami, spinach and watercress for lunch. Yum!

Leminscate - do you have a low carb recipe for your moussaka?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 09/04/2012 12:56

HI all

I have been lurking reading your thread with interest for a little while now and was hoping I could out myself and join for support?

I bought India and Neris's book last week and have started this morning. Minor blip in that I forgot first thing and had a cup of tea with a splash of milk (I like strong tea, but still, shouldn't have had the milk)

I only (only...ha ha ha ) have a stone to lose but have been struggling with it for a good three years now. Since just before I got pregnant with ds1 I think, and he's 3.4 now.

So, breakfast was scrambled eggs with a dash of cream, fried bacon and two chestnut mushrooms. Lunch was a bowl of salad leaves, two boiled eggs, a bit of naice ham, two chopped cherry tomatoes all covered with a sprinkling of parmesan and a small amount (two or three tablespoons I would guess) of full fat coleslaw. For tea I plan on salmon with cauli mash. How does that sound? Oh and I am on my 3rd pint of water.

I had sort of planned to start next week as I noticed BIWI's bootcamp and thought it a good time to start, but on impulse I started today. This is mainly because I have a job interview next week and want to get any headaches or side effects out of the way this week, so I can prepare with full concentration and attend feeling good, not headachey.

PaquesJeLeVauxBien · 09/04/2012 13:41

Welcome! Your menu sounds good. Good idea to start now as well.

ilovemyteddy - there is a lovely moussaka recipe in the Idiot Proof Diet book. I'll type if out if you like?

lemniscate · 09/04/2012 13:53

Hello MyLife!

lemniscate · 09/04/2012 13:55

Well done Whip - I started at 13 stone - it's so nice to drop a number, isn't it? Grin

encyclogirl · 09/04/2012 16:09

Hi fold, I survived Easter and had my first official weigh in this morning. I was down 7.8lbs!

I am stunned tbh, a stone to go...

Well done Whip!

encyclogirl · 09/04/2012 16:09

Folks not fold!
