Welcome to all those who left me alone on the old thread. May this one be more fruitful!

My WI today, I lost .2 kilos so basically stayed the same. A bit disappointed as I worked very hard, but at least I didn't gain. Still 10st 5.

We went shopping today and I bought slim fit jeans for the first time ever, and a dress!

Hi all - glad to have found you. Will w/i tomorrow so I have (another) starter weight and then join you on Sundays.

My goal is healthier eating (no processes food); fewer carbs and 3 no-carb days a week; exercise every day (I have been shredding - not at mo tho as am sick.)

Any ideas for low/no-carb breakfasts that I can do in minutes? (Am getting 6am train at the mo.)

catinboots · 25/01/2012 15:27

mrsb - I tried the cauli mash before but it was a bit wet and soggy? Maybe I need to leave it to drain for longer. I'll try again....

LuckyC - do you like rye bread? For a quick breakfast I toast a bit then cook some tomatoes or poach an egg in the microwave and chuck it on top. Takes about 2mins.

0% total yoghurt and berries?

I'm in. Weighed myself yesterday and was 10st 6lbs - this after hardly gaining anything over Christmas. Mind you, I was on painkillers a lot of the time, so no wine, and couldn't eat as much as usual cos of a clicky jaw!
Jaw still clicky but mobile enough to chow on chocolate/mini Magnums every night occasionally!

Ideally I'd like to be about 9st 4lbs, so that's just over a stone to lose.
I was kind of doing SW last year but got fed up with the constant meal-planning and topping up the fridge. Don't know what I'll do instead though.
It's not going to happen by magic, that's for sure!

I think I'll try and cook less meat and more pulses - meat really seems to stick to me nowadays. Strongly carniverous DCs though.

ObviouslyOblivious · 25/01/2012 16:31

Sounds like you're the same weight and target as me Shotgun - good luck!

Thanks. I was just feeling despondent as I was remembering last winter, being about 9st 10 and trying to get below 91/2 stone by Easter.
I think you can't take your eye off the ball if you don't have a lot to lose; plus I'm 48, and am finally starting to accept that age does seem to make a difference to rates of weight loss.
Still, no point pontificating - just need to get on with it!

mrsbossyboots · 25/01/2012 21:23

V busy at work week so done bugger all exercise! Food intake ok although a big glass of red wine has just helped ease away work...

mrsbossyboots · 26/01/2012 09:21

How's everyone doing this week?

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 26/01/2012 09:34

I seem to have lost over a kilo since Tuesday! Now just over 10st 3. Must have been a blip.
I have been having lighter evening meals, though - last night was veggie Jambalaya with loads of beans in, threw in some king prawns for the DCs.

Think it'll be a chick-pea concoction tonight!

catinboots · 26/01/2012 09:36

I made cauli mash last night! It was lush this time! After I mashed it I left it on a low hob for a while so it wasn't soggy...

I just can't seem to fit any exercise in - which is what I know I need to do.

mrsb - I too find it hard to resist the lure of the wine. Work is very stressful at the mo.......

mrsbossyboots · 26/01/2012 18:06

Well done shotgun! I am trying to avoid the scales but my clothes feel a bit better.

Glad the cauli mash worked out catin! I really like it, DH who does not need to lose any weight will chose to eat it and it means I don't feel as though I'm missing out on a full meal.

Going to a friend's for a few drinks tonight so have offered to drive otherwise I'll have a couple of glasses of wine and then start on the nibbles. Sparkling water for me tonight but it will be wine tomorrow. (You have to have some pleasures).

LuckyC · 27/01/2012 09:37

Yesterday I worked out that I SAT DOWN for 13 hours. 5 hours commuting, 8 hours at desk.

Then got home, put DD to bed (three times) and had monster glass of wine (non-negotiable while I am on this project.)

13 hours! No wonder I am putting on weight.

Home today. Am going on 2-hour walk in extended lunch hour. Forgot to w/i yday, will wait til Sunday.

LuckyC · 27/01/2012 09:38

PSthanks for breakfast suggestions!

ObviouslyOblivious · 27/01/2012 09:53

Hello all. I've had a pretty sedentary week as DS and I have colds. He's feeding a lot though and I'm not eating much so hopefully weight loss will occur! Yes, bf is my secret weapon in this weight loss attempt :o

catinboots · 27/01/2012 11:15

Yes. My arse remains seated for most of the day.

Must do something about it.

mrsbossyboots · 27/01/2012 12:58

Glad it's not just me that has a stupid commute LuckyC! I am knackered mentally by the time I get home. I know a bit of exercise will make me feel better but struggling with motivation. How you feeling about going back to work obviously?

ObviouslyOblivious · 27/01/2012 13:30

Grrrrr sums it up Mrs!

mrsbossyboots · 28/01/2012 22:28

Are we still planning a weigh in tomorrow?

We had BIL and family visit today and DH cooked roast chicken, roast potatoes, home made gravy etc but I did my best to restrain myself. I so nearly just carried on eating even though I knew I'd eaten enough but really didn't want to ruin what has been a good week (apart from exercise and wine!)

ObviouslyOblivious · 28/01/2012 22:35

I'll be weighing first thing before I eat anything

ObviouslyOblivious · 29/01/2012 07:38

10st 3 this morning, 2 lbs off. Very happy!
However it's DS's first birthday today and I've made cake, there's bubbly and my friend has made cake too....
I'll be using all my WW weeklies today then :o

catinboots · 29/01/2012 07:49

catinboots · 29/01/2012 07:50

ObviouslyOblivious · 29/01/2012 07:51

3lb is a great amount to lose in one week cat, well done!

ObviouslyOblivious · 29/01/2012 07:51

Tooblunt2012 · 29/01/2012 07:59

2 & 3 lbs are both great losses - well done! I've lost 1 1/2lb this week to make 11st 2 1/2 lb.

Still a long way for me but if I can do 1-2lb per week I'll be happy as more than that generally requires no alcohol & with my 3 boys, I need wine!!

Have a good week everyone & enjoy the birthday party!! Grin
