Oh bugger my "fat trousers" fit

I'm off out for lunch at friends and on getting ready I have discovered that my pair of GAP size 12 (really closer to 14 as their sizing is big imo) trousers are now a nice snug fit...oh good you may think....NO! They are my "fat" trousers bought in a rush to look smart at a funeral and they are supposed to be big and baggy!!

So Christmas feasting has clearly caught up with me and tomorrow I will be commencing my bootcamp back to a svelte size 10 in time for summer.

To kick start I will be:

  1. Starting the dreaded SHRED
  2. running 3 x per week
  3. cutting out all processed crap from diet
  4. drinking no alcohol til valentines day
  5. drinking lots and lots of water

Valentines day will be a day off and I will reassess my aims/goals and how it's all going then.

Feel free to join me Smile I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and then probably fridays (although I will obv be obsessively weighing every day in secret) and i'll probably boringly record food and exercise as it seems to help me stay on the straight and narrow!

Smile

I have the Shred DVD in front of me, bought yesterday, am going to give it a go in a minute, don't have any handweights so will have to do it without.

Am cutting out all choc/biscuits and cutting down majorly on bread.

Lost a stone before Christmas but fell of the wagon.

This is my motivation <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=miamia+leigh+dress&um=1&hl=en&biw=1264&bih=678&tbm=isch&tbnid=ivaRlFRaHuhQ0M:&imgrefurl=tellthebride.com/designers/miamia/bridal&docid=KZvbdi7LZYm4rM&imgurl=static.tellthebride.co.uk/images/thumbs/0006108_600_Wedding_Dresses_MiaMia_Leigh.jpg&w=400&h=600&ei=WMAjT_r4I8PR8gPn2vDHBw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=102&vpy=123&dur=414&hovh=275&hovw=183&tx=140&ty=147&sig=111404040846151825352&page=1&tbnh=167&tbnw=111&start=0&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">wedding dress

Have just shredded for the first time, am knackered but feel surprisingly good Grin

How is everyone else getting on today?

sassyTHEFIRST · 28/01/2012 11:17

Hmm. Out last night and somewhat hungover today. Beginning to perk up now but curry, whole bottle of cava and subsequent hangover toast eating sesh not good for the waistline!

2 hours tennis this afternoon tho, so that should help sort me out again.

FauxFox · 28/01/2012 11:25

Lovely dress rare well done for shredding Smile

Hope you had fun sassy enjoy the tennis - I am much to mal co-ordinated to play tennis sadly!

Wedding dress is stunning, rare.

Tennis was good (and cold, hopefully I'll have used a fair few calories just keeping warm)

About to have cajun spiced chicken breast and roasted veg. followed by tiramasu

FauxFox · 29/01/2012 08:23

Morning all, home late last night and a bit knackered but will def do day 7 L1 Shred at some point today! Only food I regret eating yesters was a slice of shop bought bday cake but there wasn't much choice tbh and about 7 dried apricots at 11pm when I should have just gone to bed instead! Other than that stuck to salad/ham etc.

Today I will have yog and seeds for breakfast, melon and ham for lunch and chicken casserole for dinner. Looked at the weather and I hope it's not going to rain all week - I wanted to get out for a run on mon/weds/fri but i'm not doing in in a downpour!

Morning, yesterday was going so well until DP came back home with a McDonalds Hmm but have been very good apart from that so not going to beat myself up about it.

Am aching so much today, should i attempt the Shred again anyway?

FauxFox · 29/01/2012 10:15

Yes! If you don't stay with it you'll give up! Am off to do my L1D7 now - two coffees have woken me up enough to face it Blush

rarebreed · 29/01/2012 10:25

OK, have drank a large cup of tea and had a cigarette will attempt it in a min and report back. I also have this DVD Ministry of Sound great music, really enjoy it. Got this and the Shred for £8 from Tesco.

FauxFox · 29/01/2012 10:53

FauxFox · 29/01/2012 12:26

Well done steala Grin

I'm supposed to be taking the kids swimming in a bit but i'm not v. keen and they are still in PJs so hopefully may not happen...

OP posts:
rarebreed · 29/01/2012 13:16

I shredded Grin had to stop half way through to feed baby but i still went back and finished it

Swimming with kids is grim Faux, keep them in their PJ's Grin

FauxFox · 29/01/2012 15:28

It is grim but they are 6 and this is the year I will get them swimming unaided! DD managed a couple of metres doggy paddle so was worth the horror going today Grin

Morning! Weather a bit grim here...see how it goes but am aiming for a run then Shred D8 L1 this morning. Breakfast is yoghurt and seeds, lunch is ham omelette, tea is roasted stuffed peppers and halloumi cheese.

OP posts:
FauxFox · 30/01/2012 11:32

Shredded but refuse to run in the rain! Forecast is sunny tomorrow so i'll go then to make it up Grin

OP posts:
Steala · 30/01/2012 15:10

L1D6 done. I must admit I phoned in a few of the last side lunges with raises. I'm getting nervous about moving up now that I am over half way through L1. I've done L2 and L3 in the past (just trying them out) and I know I'm not ready for them!

FauxFox · 31/01/2012 07:49

Shock @ phoning it in! Jillian would be very cross! Grin

It is so so cold today...really not sure if I can face running outside...but will do Day 9 L1 for def. Might investigate what classes are on at the leisure centre as at least it is warm in there Hmm

Food is: yog and seeds, lunch soup, dinner is tuna steak in nicoise salad.

Would it be madness to try spinning?? Confused

OP posts:
rarebreed · 31/01/2012 08:02

Morning! Had guests yesterday so couldn't shred, have just done L1D3 tho, first time with proper weights lots of phoning it in!
Am considering weighing myself but will be gutted if i haven't lost anything.

Have never tried spinning, looks brutal tho.

Steala · 31/01/2012 08:11

I'd like to try spin. I think I would feel self-conscious though. I'll see when the next class is. I should face these fears with virtual moral support!

Steala · 31/01/2012 08:16

all booked up all this week...which probably means it's really good! Go for it!

FauxFox · 31/01/2012 10:05

I phoned up but spinning was all full today at my gym too! Must be the January health kick everyone is on...and the fact it burns 500 cals in 30 mins apparently Shock So anyway, I manned up, found my running gloves and went for a 5k run in the frost followed by D9 L1 and I feel amazing Grin

Same again tomorrow if it doesn't rain then I will be starting L2 on Thursday - yikes!!
