Anyone using Slimpods?

Probably a long shot, but just wondered if anyone was using a Slimpod? Its a 9 minute MP3 that you listen to daily that uses wordweaving (not hypnotism like Paul McKenna).

I used to be a die-hard Paul fan, but after a year Id only lost a stone and was very fed up his voice (sorry Paul!). After a few months of eating freefall, I started using this method instead. Hoping to find some other Slimpodders out there!

how do you find it - I trained at the place that invented Slim Pods - so am not 100% convinced about them .. think I know too much about people involved to want to part with cash - long story!

Guess my gripe would be that they are really no different to what Paul is doing - word weaving just their word for the term used for the script that hypnotherapists and Paul use when providing positive messaging to the subconscious.. but they charge a lot more for them than Paul does!

shaketheshame · 16/01/2012 11:39

I do...zzmum, what are you saying ? That is not good ?

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 16/01/2012 16:40

I luckily got mine for free, so havent parted with any cash. I have however spoken to the woman behind it, on the phone and she seemed nice enough. Its working with about 90% of my eating habits, but not at all with my crisp binges.

ZZMum, what are your reservations? I like it betterthan Paul because its so much shorter Grin I am interested in what you have to say though, because I was considering paying out for another of the pods.

Personally, I ve spent far more trying out Paul than I have on Slimpods (I went to one of his seminars too, so have really spent soem cash there!).

I was thinking this over and didn't want to not respond to you but I think my issues with SlimPods are driven by the organisation that made them and so is a personal view of them which might colour my opinions.

However, having heard some of them, and having access to a wide range of other similar type of recordings, I still think they are expensive for what they are and you can get better or at least similar for a lot less money and often with better supporting programme.. I can see paying to see Paul would be expensive but the cost of his tape is a lot lower than this and you get a book and engagement model to support your changes .. there is another one called Adore Yourself Slim which I like as it has several recordings to suit differernt parts of your weightloss - with Slim Pods they seem to have generated loads but you have to pay for each one..

At end of day, I guess it is what works for you - I think 30 quid is quite a lot to pay for something you can get cheaper - but then am misery skin flint!!

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 18/01/2012 15:38

Like I say, I dont think I would have paid for one! I got my set for free, so I am giving them a go. Im a misery skin flint too! I just hope it works, I dont want to waste my time on something thats not going to help.

Very interesting! Wink

waves

I still think they are trying too hard to get this off the ground. Most are only getting it to touch there weight with personal phone calls!

Anyway, you know what I feel about it all, its great if you want to feel great, but thats as far as it goes.....

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 02/02/2012 15:47

I have lost about 24 inches from various points of my body (including 4 inches off my waist) so somethings shifting! I still refuse to weigh myself though lol, I have a scale phobia!

Hello

Would love an update from people on this - if you're genuinely finding it helps, or if not, what alternatives you've tried.

I see reference to 'other programmes' above, but not sure which ones those are...

Many thanks

Raph.

Georgia1of2 · 09/01/2020 20:06

I’ve just started this programme and would love to here from others making a go of it.

Ilovethewild · 13/02/2020 09:05

I’m thinking about this so would be keen to hear others opinions. I eat well but over snack in the evenings, that’s my downfall.

jetSTAR · 16/02/2020 12:16

Place marking as I’m intrigued but also sceptical!

KirstyHasLeft · 25/06/2020 19:26

So, how is it going? Any reviews?

MathildaMattie · 29/09/2020 09:20

I've been using Slimpod for about six weeks and have lost over a stone. I'm very happy with it. It's £33 a month for 3 months, BUT you can get ten days free and money back after 4 weeks, if it's not for you. You get to keep the recordings and get lots of online support and videos as well in the package. It's cheaper than lots of "diet" clubs long term.

So, if you're skeptical, I understand that, I was too. Having said that I wouldn't say it's effortless. No one can lose weight without doing something different, but it will make you less hungry, less prone to cravings and help you actually want to make long term changes.

PS I'm not affiliated with them, just think it's a great thing - but like anything it's not for everyone. If you genuinely don't want to make changes, your clever little brain will stop you from getting anything out of it.

Sachaduzanne · 06/06/2022 04:59

Ive just started my free trial with slimpod, 9 days ago and love the style of the recordings.
Any updates?

MrsR1966 · 19/11/2022 17:40

I’m considering signing up too , any other success stories or alternatives?

Minnie147 · 12/02/2023 07:21

Thinking of signing up, does anyone have any updates - much appreciated, thanks

Tipless · 15/04/2023 16:49

Did you sign up?

LittleRebelGirl · 15/04/2023 22:36

I tried it - no joy. Didn't do much. Will power waned when the weight loss plateaued. I'd say don't waste your money.

Minnie147 · 16/04/2023 06:34

I did sign up, found it simple but effective, did the job for me.

Tipless · 16/04/2023 09:47

Minnie147, how long before you started to feel the effects?

Babana123 · 16/04/2023 12:44

I started slimpod at the beginning of September last year. I have lost just over 4 stone. Gone from a size 18/20 to 10/12. Best £99 I've spent.

Tipless · 16/04/2023 14:26

Wow, that’s encouraging. Congratulations

HowcanIgetoutofthisalive · 24/04/2023 14:01

So I've just come across 'slimpod' and am tempted to sign up (as I've tried every other bloody thing, with no success!). But I'm worried it'll be a waste of money. @Babana123 and @MathildaMattie ; do you just listen to a type of hypnotherapy recording daily? Is there any other support for the £99? Have you managed to maintain your weightlosses? @Georgia1of2 ; did it work for you?

Trustpilot reviews look good though...

Sorry, so many questions! I would like to lose at least 4 stone (thank you menopause!) but everything I try just doesn't seem to 'stick'...I fall off the wagon all the time!
