Good news - another 3lb off, now 14st 1.

Bad news - joined ww tonight and their scales say I'm 3lb heavier than mine! I'm going to go by my scales for this thread tho. I need to know I've lost 7lbs to keep me motivated!

unicorn · 17/01/2006 20:55

right, I am going to have to start exercising bigtime to shift any of my lard!

My metabolism seems to have ground to a halt, and despite not drinking, and seriously cutting down on the stodge, the weight isn't falling off.

So - what exercise videos do you recommend?
and, can I muster up enough enthusiasm to go swimming again?

Today I have had.. cornflakes and banana
m+s count on us rissotto - surprisingly nice, and filling - such that I have not felt the need to eat this pm.. just had a fruit smoothie.

JenumGeranium · 17/01/2006 21:02

I am now thinking that I need to do more excercise in order to lose weight (oh and obviously stop eating pizzas, chinese etc!)

I havnt tried my workout videos yet so dont know if they are any good but I have been using my Air Walker! Its great and makes me sweat!

amouse · 17/01/2006 21:10

I started Paul McKenna I can make you thin thing yesterday, the one where you just follow the 4 rules. I know its early days but for the first time in years tonight me and dh left some of our tea, and i am not compelled to binge on crisps and choccies, I am normally climbing the walls at this time of night (or making a mad dash to sainsburys)
the only drawback is you are not allowed to weigh for 3 weeks which is gonna kill me

JenumGeranium · 17/01/2006 21:11

What kind of thing is it? A diet plan or these self help thingys?

amouse · 17/01/2006 21:18

its not a diet. The four rules are:

  1. Eat what you want
  2. Eat when you are hungry
  3. Eat Consciously
  4. Stop when you are full

It sounds great cos you think great I can stuff my face with crisps all night, but when you have to chew your food and put your cultery down at each mouthful you realise how full you are and you dont dtuff your face. Something to do with the message from the stomach to the brain.
Its simple, free and is working so far, just hope it continues.
Its on Sky One if you get digital and repeated on SkyTwo

JenumGeranium · 17/01/2006 21:21

Oooh sounds interesting. I have just looked it up on Amazon! When is it on Sky?

amouse · 17/01/2006 21:23

I think its repeated on SkyOne Thursday at 11pm. Think its the second episode but they go over it all again anyway. Its actually quite scary not being hungry

Smalline · 17/01/2006 21:35

I'm pleased to say that I have lost 1lb this week lost the plot a bit towards the end of last week, but made up for it by going for a 30 minute run on sunday. Thanks to Furball and UCM for your hard work and to all of you for your support, good luck and hopefully we will be seeing less of each other next week.

hullabaloo · 18/01/2006 00:00

Hello all! Sorry I'm late! Well it's 2lb off for me - Hurray!! Unfortunately was feeling so chuffed with myself that I had a few things I shouldn't! Still I've got a whole week to work it off!
I have to say thanks to all of you as I have definitely been thinking of all my cyber slimming chums esp. when doing the dreaded exercise. So ta for all your support just knowing I have to post on here is enough to keep me out of the fridge.
I also found a really nice picture of myself taken about 2 years ago when I did really well at losing weight. it was a Christmas one and I had a lovely skinny-inducing dress. I have stuck it up on the fridge in the hope that I will one day get back into that dress and it has kept me out of the fridge so far!!

SleepyJess · 18/01/2006 00:01

I am joining Sliiming World tomorrow so my weigh day will now be Wednesday. Hope this is ok.

pindy · 18/01/2006 07:50

Hi - just weighed and only lost ONE pound this week, now 10st 11lbs - AND I've been really good, I expect it is waiting to fall off next week!!! Good luck and well done to everyone else!!!

CorrieDale · 18/01/2006 08:23

Ashamed to report have gained 1lb to 11st 1 1/2lb despite BFing several times a day (and night). Suspect vast bowlfuls of chocolate ice cream 'because I'm BFing' just may have had something to do with it.

Will do better next week, the ice cream all having [ahem] melted.

niccick · 18/01/2006 09:17

Well I have lost 1.5lb for me. 18st 3.5lbs

The think I love about this is that my clothes are getting loose

niccick · 18/01/2006 09:53

tangerinecath · 18/01/2006 11:45

I've forgotten my trainers today though so no walk at lunchtime, my pointy office shoes just aren't up to the job.

food today...(sorry if dull, but this does help me
in some way!)

cornflakes+ strawberry and banana smoothie (yum)
lunch.. count on us rissotto (mushroom)
pm..cheese salad roll
dinner count on us salmon and tagliatelle

now... smoothie.

not enough water today so I'm feeling a bit 'on the edge' of a choco binge iykwim... so I shall go and have a bath or something.

bubblerock · 18/01/2006 20:23

Furball - Yorkie went back to slimming world (see sw thread) and lost an amazing 4.5lb this week, I'm sure she won't mind me posting it!

I had a crap day exercise wise as DS2 decided to wake in the night and literally bounce off the walls - I think I need to do a food diary for him as something is really affecting him! So I cancelled the gym and didn't do a lot at all.

Had two bowls of cereal with soya milk, a banana, white wine and soda and I'm having chicken, new potatoes and veg for dinner.

We had quorn mince bolognaise last night for the first time and it was really okay, I like to see the meat that I'm eating so don't eat mince so the quorn was great - no gristle or crap .

SleepyJess · 18/01/2006 20:47

Just got back from my first (for years) Slimming World session. They now spell SINS with a Y (probably to distance themselves from WeightWatchers "Where no food is a Sin!" campaign!) and tinned maccaroni cheese that used to be FREE has nine sodding Sins/SYNS! How?! Why??!

I was horrifically lardy.. more so than this thread's chart shows.. so next week's weigh in will have to show an adjustment! (But it will SUCH a significant loss that it won't matter! )

SJ x

Loobz · 18/01/2006 21:57

Put 1lb on Have been good today though so hopefully this will be a better week.

bubblerock · 18/01/2006 22:01
