non fat yoghurt is great for 'sweet treats', get plenty of proteins in obviously and make sure it's portioned well before you freeze as it makes it easier. Lots of eggs....errrrr think thats about it for the attack

good luck :) i lost 15lbs in the first 3 weeks

StaceymAloneForver · 31/10/2011 11:16

oh also, sweetner and low fat cocoa powder for making hot choc (another sweet treat)

WentworthMillerMad · 31/10/2011 12:35

I have started this morning. Managed to shop last night and drank my last glasses of wine / ate family bag aeros!
You may have seen my name on threads before - just got some photos emailed through from my summer holiday in Greece. FFS! I am the fattest I have EVER been. I am 5 ft 8 and weighing in
At 12 stones 6 lb. Am mortified and I need drastic action. I am a greedy bitch!
Oat bran this am with skimmed milk latte
Lots of water
2 boiled eggs and smoked salmon
Tea mackerel and cottage cheese

Have to do 4 days attack. I hate it but am so fat I have to!

StaceymAloneForver · 31/10/2011 12:44

i didn't find attack that hard tbh, when u see it working it spurs you on :)

kitya · 31/10/2011 13:23

Im on nights which should keep me off the wine!! So, eggs and salmon. I have to pieces of fish in the freezer, I find that Iceland is good for low carbing. Im just off to buy some big bottles of water. Im going out on Saturday night, which wont help.

Oh yes me too please! Went shopping today so starting tomorrow.

WentworthMillerMad · 01/11/2011 10:49

Just had a few slices of smoked salmon and a mint tea to fill me up.

OLD ME = full fat cap with choc biscuit!

Sugar cravings are immense!

JustAnother · 01/11/2011 11:19

I am on my 2nd day of attack. I don't eat meat, so it is kind of boring. So far it has been eggs and salmon for breakfast, yogurt with oatbran for snack. Tuna and Quark for lunch and crab stick and prawns for dinner. I am getting rid of water quickly - highlighted by the fact that I had to get up to go to the loo in the middle of the night. (very rare for me). Today I bought some tofu for tonight.

ToffeePenny · 01/11/2011 11:23

I'm half way through my weight loss on the dukan and have found the following useful to stay on track:

eggs
egg whites
sugar free vanilla
cinnamon
granulated sweetner
(all for the galette, ile flottante and creme recipes in the book - sweet stuff when you're craving biscuits)
surimi (crab sticks)
asparagus (when you're on the pv days - that shifts weight amazingly as it's a natural diuretic)
all the items in the miracle soup (another amazingly quick weight shifter) - especially low salt stock cubes
0% fat greek yogurt - the Total brand is good as it's not sour.

a new small non-stick pan (for fat free omelettes, galettes, single portions of protein etc)

WentworthMillerMad · 01/11/2011 17:21

Thanks toffee - am just realising how much sugar I eat!

kitya · 01/11/2011 17:52

Its not sugar, Im craving potatoes!! Im cooking fish for dinner but, it looks so lonely!

OP posts:
ednurse · 01/11/2011 17:55

It's the sugar I crave. I usually get round it with sugar free jelly. Not sure if it's allowed or not but only 9 calories a pot.

StaceymAloneForver · 02/11/2011 08:58

just make sure you cook enough so you're full, sugar free jelly or fat free fruit yoghurt (you are allowed 2 pots a day) are good for when you crave sweet things

kitya · 02/11/2011 09:55

Ive just bought six pots of jelly!! Im drinking really watered down Robinsons as well. Probably not allowed but, drinking 2 litres of plain water scares me!

Hi there, I am on my 3rd week. I did 5 days of Attack and I am now on my 2nd week on Cruise. I lost 5lbs in Attack. The trouble is that I had things going on for both my first weekend on the diet and last weekend. I tried to be as good as possible on the food front but did end up drinking alcohol on both occassions. I tried to make it vodka instead of wine though. Anyway, both weekends resulted in a 2lb weight gain each time so not too bad I suppose. Overall I have lost 6lb and that's with gaining a bit each weekend so not too bad.

I am finding that now I am on the cruise phase that I am rarely having PP days. I am losing just as much weight eating vegetables as I was when I wasn't. I think, as I read someone else say on another thread, that the no fat dairy still has more carbs then the veg. I am drinking tons of water. I am also drinking green tea as that is meant to be quite good for speeding up your metabolism (and is full of antioxidants too). I find I have to make sure that I have lots of ham/chicken in the fridge and if I feel hungry suddenly I'll grab a slice. I also tend have a pack of king prawns (in chilli & coriander) that I snack on during the day or add to salads for lunch.

WentworthMillerMad · 02/11/2011 16:40

Hi I am on day 3 of attack - ham omelette for lunch was good! Tons of water and have lots 4lb in 3 days. Wonder if a lot of that is water though?

Roller - my sister did the protein and veg most days and drank a small amount at weekends and still lost weight. It may have been slower but defo more sustainable.
I only have 1 more day of attack and I will be so glad to go onto cruise!

kitya · 02/11/2011 17:46

I think it surely is water at the beginning? I find it really difficult to drink so much water.

Ive got two pieces of salmon in the oven. I cant help thinking that I am going over into the Atlkins at times.

I am a bit disappointed. I am on the 3rd day of Attack, and have only lost 1lb. My thyroid is bad, so I wasn't expecting to loose lots, but still....Anyway, I will keep it up, as I really want to loose 1st at least. Have you heard of anyone having this same problem?

WentworthMillerMad · 02/11/2011 19:49

Yes I think if your thyroid is not efficient it is v v v hard to shift the weight.

I never did Atkins but this is maybe a stricter version. Water is a struggle for me as well. Having a big mint tea now and I also am packing in the sugar free robbinsons!

JustAnother · 02/11/2011 20:00

I am not having sugar cravings, so at least it is not too bad. I guess I never had many sweets before, anyway. I do miss having vegetables and bread though! I will keep Attack for 5 days, and then go into cruise. I am 11st and want to be 10st, so I understand 5 days of Attack is the recommended amount, right?

WentworthMillerMad · 03/11/2011 07:36

Not sure just - you only have a stone to lose BUT if it is coming off slowly I would probably do 5 days attack.

Its day 4 of attack and I am weirdly enjoying this! Another 1lb off this morning but it's hardly surprising when I consider my previous diet!
Skim latte now with 0% total yogurt and my oat bran for brekki.
Probably omelette for lunch - smoked salmon and prawns for tea.
Must keep going!

kitya · 03/11/2011 17:09

Im having Birds Eye salmon tonight. Very handy when you have to go to work!! My stomach has gone right down already. If I could only stay off the wheat for good, I would be a slimmer person. Im going out this weekend for a cocktail birthday party. I know its going to set me straight back.

OP posts:
JustAnother · 03/11/2011 18:35

this was me today:
Breakfast - one egg omelette with smoked salmon
Snack - 0% yogurt with oat bran
Lunch - 0% quark and cray fish tails
Snack - 0% yogurt
Dinner - dry fried king prawns with chilli

tomorrow will be my 5th day, so hopefully I'll see some results!

kitya · 03/11/2011 18:39

How much oatbran are we supposed to add? I actually dont mind it.

OP posts:
JustAnother · 03/11/2011 19:23

in the attack phase, it is 1.5 tbs per day. Then 2 tbs, I believe
