Ooh you lucky thing.

BoffinMum · 30/11/2011 12:27

I am O negative, my Mum is AB negative, so what would my dad be then?

ppeatfruit · 30/11/2011 17:15

Probably an O type Boffin it is a fascinating and very complicated subject if you've read this whole thread you should have an idea what O types eat there's also an app for each blood type.

ppeatfruit · 30/11/2011 17:27

alfie it's lovely; but I still miss the DC's even though we're back and forwards when i'm in London I miss the peace here (i don't miss the hunting though!!) Grin

ppeatfruit · 03/12/2011 10:16

Come on everyone any good results yet?? Xmas Smile

ppeatfruit · 03/12/2011 10:18

Or any results at all??

alfiemama · 03/12/2011 11:41

Morning everyone. Well 3lb down in 2 days, pain still there but early days. Smile

ppeatfruit · 04/12/2011 09:30

That's brill alfie Xmas Smile do you want another menu?

alfiemama · 04/12/2011 10:20

that would brill ppea, Another 1lb off this morning.
I am sticking to it mainly but given the carby things a miss, like oats and things. Using a carb counter on app and sticking to under 50g, as can't stand the low carb headaches.

CakeandRoses · 04/12/2011 11:51

i've had a dreadful week bloodtype diet-wise as have been out with work etc and had to make do. and then i weirdly chose to eat a baked potato for lunch yesterday when i normally wouldn't have. maybe i subconciously did it as a test? anyway my tummy was huge that afternoon so it's the final nudge i needed to really cut potatoes out.

ppeatfruit · 04/12/2011 13:45

Cakes it is difficult when you eat out esp. as you don't eat fish (that's my standby as well as goats cheese salad in Fr. 'cos they find it hard to believe that I don't eat meat let alone fish). Do you eat cheese? i can't remember. Okay alfiemum here goes - Do you want to loose weight fast it's that's why you're not eating oats?

Breakfast; My winter smoothie;1 chopped apple, 1chopped pear, 2 or 3 (depending on how sweet you like things) chopped dates, or sultanas, juice of fresh lemon, Ground almonds with ground linseeds and pumpkin seeds 3 to 4 tablspoons, apple juice and very warm water, i can't give you quantities because it's a personal choice how thick or thin you like yr smoothies. Using yr hand held liquidiser or whatever really thoroughly liquidise and enjoy!

Snack; I finish my smoothie 'cos i can't eat it all at one sitting

Lunch ;Carrot and parsnip soup and oat crackers . 3 pieces of 70% chocolate.

Snack; tofu yoghurt with honey, molasses and ground nutmeg, cinnamon etc.

Supper;Steamed salmon with salad and mashed cauliflour

alfiemama · 05/12/2011 09:10

Thanks ppea, yes I would like to lose weight, although struggle with the headaches you get from total low carbing.

Not sure what went wrong yesterday, but this morning I was 2lb on Shock. Maybe it is just calories and not low carb.

ppeatfruit · 05/12/2011 11:13

Or could be aunt flo? Paul mckenna reckons it's best not to weigh every day 'cos we all invest too many feelings in it. I don't weigh. well, maybe once a month i can tell by my tight jeans whether I'm loosing or not Xmas Grin

Oh i forgot to say if you're making the smoothie with the ground linseeds and pumpkin seeds (you can just make it with ground almonds or whatever) then you should drink a glass of water with it to digest them efficiently.

how's the eating slowly going ?

alfiemama · 05/12/2011 11:46

Hi ppea no not af yet, but its been a bit up and down lately after little one was born, so who knows.
When I look back at the cals though they have been low, so low carbing definatley helps to keep this on track. I will try the smoothie, just got a littley off school at the minute poorly, so can't get to the shops.

Eating slowly is hard to get into to be honest, even though it sounds so simple. I just get so distracted by the little ones.

ppeatfruit · 06/12/2011 08:36

Alfie On our P.M. thread there are mums like you who I admire for doing it at all with L.O's it's a bit confusing having 2 threads isn't it?

A bit of good news i've lost another 7 or 8 lbs by giving up my daily avocado I'm going to have to stop now!

alfiemama · 06/12/2011 09:37

Morning ppea and everyone Grin
I'm losing heart to be honest, I have 3 poorly kiddies and just can't manage on the low carb. I'm going to dig out the PM book and see if I can re educate myself, I was also thinking of ww (I lost a lot on the old style, but don't like the new one) but I'm now thinking easiet to just count calories and try and stick to the avoids.

Sorry for rambling, not had much sleep as you can probably tell and feel sick cause haven't got a clue what to eat!!!!!!! Feeling mighty peeeeed off to be honest.

ppeatfruit · 07/12/2011 08:50

Oh that's a shame Alfie Xmas Sad Porridge is the answer for healthy carbs and great for L.O.s (I used to play the goldilocks breakfast with my mindees) you can make it with water it's still creamy and add healthy molasses and or honey, plus I love it with cinnamon and ginger Lovely!! The blood type isn't low carb. if you don't want it to be. Wish you better Xmas Smile

ppeatfruit · 07/12/2011 08:52

And wish yr L.O's better too!

alfiemama · 09/12/2011 09:16

Thanks ppea sorry only just seen this.
Kids back at school todopefuay, hooray and me and Little one off to Baby tiny talk. I will have a think about food today.

Good idea about the porridge. It just seems like I may have messed up my metabolic rate with doing daft diets.

Hope you are all well.

ppeatfruit · 09/12/2011 11:01

Alfie Thanks. IMO If you concentrate on P.M. with the blood type you'd loose weight and feel better. These things take a bit of time to get used to (mind you xmas is a bit difficult! Xmas Grin)

alfiemama · 09/12/2011 16:27

not sure what todopefuay is Grin

I have got a pm similar app for the iphone which is basically hypnosis. Only problem is she sounds like Lorraine Kelly and in the middle shouts NOOOOOOO Hmm
I will have another go when my mind is more focused.

ppeatfruit · 09/12/2011 18:35

Oh i would say NOOOO to yr Lorraine kelly soundalike!!

ItJustIsntEasy · 13/12/2011 13:47

Hello, hope ok if I gatecrash? I am at a bit of a loss with eating at the moment and so I was thinking of giving this diet a try as it sort of fits with my instincts anyway - I am a type A and an ex pescetarian and I have to say I felt better before I ate meat. So, my issue really is breakfast. At the moment I eat fat free yogurt with berries and a little bit of oats sprinkled on top or else scrambled eggs and toast at the weekend. Any other ideas? How are you all getting on?

ppeatfruit · 20/12/2011 08:38

Hello and welcome Xmas Smile Itjust sorry for not getting back until now I've been off line for a while. there's loads of things you can have for breakfast I'm not particularly good with wheat but you CAN have normal white toast ( I have rye or spelt toast with pnut butter and or yeast extract and olive oil (instead of butter).

Also there's oats that i mentioned to Alfie I just cook or soak them in water or you can use rice or soya milk they're lovely with cinnamon, ginger, molasses and or honey etc.

You'll find a good selection of things in yr local H.F. shop (I don't work for one BTW Xmas Grin). Oh and if you like coffee that's beneficial for us A types! (although for weight loss I drink decaff approx once a fortnight) I have decaff soya cuppuccinos in Starxxxks no probs!!

ppeatfruit · 29/12/2011 08:36

How are all of you doing? I thought i'd rescue the thread before it disappears for ever!! Grin
