Who wants to start feeling better with me?

Junk food and over eating makes me feel crap and lethargic.

I'm going to be eating healthier.

I'm going for 5/6 good portions of fruit and veg a day.
Three healthy square meals a day.
A small treat every day.
Exercising three times a week.

How soon before I start seeing and feeling improvements?

Falas are you also obrigada? my ex DL is Portuguese! Smile

Yes that is true I remember reading that when you're tired your body doesn't secrete the hormone that stops overeating.

obrigada · 10/10/2011 11:28

Hi Ppeatfruit, just to confirm I am not Falas, my daughter was in Portugal earlier in the year and when she came back she kept saying obrigada instead of thanks, I liked the sound of it and made it my user name Grin

ppeatfruit · 10/10/2011 12:58

oh sorry obri! It is a lovely sounding language isn't it? how's the blood type going?

obrigada · 10/10/2011 15:10

Still reading up on it ppeatfruit, want to combine it with a low carb diet as well Smile

ppeatfruit · 11/10/2011 09:57

I think you'll find that O' types should be low carb. i know DH immediately looses weight when he goes low or no carb. I don't know if you know about the Hay food combining diet which says no protein and carbs at the same meal now that really DOES work!

obrigada · 11/10/2011 12:22

Hi Ppeatfruit, am starting on low carb today, for breakfast I had free range scrambled eggs with soya milk and 2 smoked rashers (although on blood type diet it does recommend that you avoid bacon!) I have eaten a plum as a snack as it is the fruit recommended on blood type!

ppeatfruit · 12/10/2011 09:18

Morning obrigada Oh the blood type is SOO right about avoiding pork products; DH was having bad pains all over his body and I suggested he stopped eating his fave ham and bacon etc.!!

He has and is a changed person!! He's lost weight and feels and sleeps better; He eats slices of chicken instead of ham, and eggs and mushrooms, tomatoes fried in butter and olive oil instead of bacon!! ( You lucky 0' types are okay with butter)!!

obrigada · 12/10/2011 11:15

Had bacon again this morning ppeatfruit Blush, will ensure I have mushrooms and tomatoes in for brekkie tomorrow morning and give the bacon a miss Tried gluten free brown bread yesterday and it was absolutely disgusting!

Yeah don't bother with it obri! it's the potato flour in it IMO (I don't eat potatoes) I buy rye bread from Waitrose and Sainsbos also pumpernickel (which is an acquired taste but I like it now!) Ryvitas are good but you have to check the labels cos they're putting wheat in everything nowadays.

I also make bread, cakes etc. with rice, spelt and Kamut flour, they are good substitutes for wheat ;DH actually said he preferred rice flour to wheat pancakes!! !You can get nice rice pasta and noodles too ,Health food shops have them as well as some supernkts.
