Happy Monday everyone :)

I really recommend using the overnight success mp3, me & my friend have both found it is made things 100x easier since listening to it! Instead of waking you up at the end, he tells you to go to sleep. I dont if its the mp3 or not, but I am finding this so easy just now.

Here is the link if anyone wants the mp3 (it's free)

Hi all,

Neicie I do understand what you mean about wanting to know if things are going in the right direction. I have so much to lose that the odd lb makes no difference. BUT sometimes, when the scales say that I have gone up, or stayed the same, my clothes seem to feel looser. Makes no sense, but hey ho!!

I seem to have made a step in the clothes sizing. I have two pairs of trousers. One just about fitted me at my largest. A couple of months ago I needed to wear a belt to make them fit and now they are impossible to wear unless tightly belted up! They are cropped trousers, so will make do for a few more weeks, then they are going for re-cycling and I will be buying much smaller sizes from now on. My second pair is a pair of jeans which I could not fit into when I started. This morning I put them on and realised that I had pulled them up without undoing the button and zip! Also got a top on today that I bought hoping i would fit into some day!

Sometimes I am not posting on here, not because I am falling off the wagon, but because I am pauling without even thinking about it. This has really changed all my habits around food.

Have a good day.Smile

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 16/08/2011 13:25

PA, thats amazing, I cant wait for that to heppen to me :) I am just fitting nicely into clothes that were tight on me before, but I havent quite dropped enough to fit into the next size down. Well done you! Hope you hade an nice weekend x

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 16/08/2011 13:26

Please keep posting your successes PA, its very motivational, as I am sure the other girls will agree.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 16/08/2011 14:20

PA that is brilliant about the clothes. It takes a long while to drop sizes I think the bigger you are. I know from years ago that for me to drop from a 16 to a 14 is only about 12lbs, but to get to the 16 from the large 18 that I am atm is going to be 2 stone.

I am in a pair of jeans today that I haven't worn since the beginning of my honeymoon. I put on half a stone that holiday and found out I was expecting DS1. Haven't been able to get into them since - but now I can! They are still a bit muffin-ish when I sit down, but still.

Niecie · 16/08/2011 15:18

PA and Alibaba - Well done on your trouser successes.Grin

Alibaba I reckon you are right about more weight change needed to move a dress size the bigger you get but I read on a thread a few months ago where somebody said 1st = 1 dress size. Pah! I think that is a dream really - I can't see that ever happening for me unless I was a size 8 or something and that is only going to be achieved if I am ill.

I would like to get about 10.5st which is about 5.5st to go and I reckon I will get from an 18 to a 14 at that weight. I have never been below a size 14 trousers, even when I was 9.5st (tops were 10/12's) and I will never be that light again because I looked terrible - it was a step too far. So by my calculation that means about 2.5 to 3 st a dress size for me. It takes a substantial loss for me to feel it in my clothes so weighing is necessary or I will lose heart. Not daily though, obviously but once a fortnight I reckon.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 16/08/2011 23:32

I have done really well today, really well. V.chuffed with myself.

Perhaps I should wear jeans that are 1cm too small in the waist more often, to focus the mind Grin

I am dreadful for weighing myself, I hop on and off at least once a day. I know, I know. Blush

Niecie how tall are you? I would be a big 12 or a 14 at 10st5lbs I reckon because I'm only a shortarse at 5'2".

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 16/08/2011 23:33

I actually can't imagine being able to wear a size 12 anything. 14 on the bottom and 12 on top is my goal, I would love that.

Solo · 16/08/2011 23:43

Listen to you lot!!! and well done :)

Niecie, don't lose heart, you will do it, as will I.

Morning all! A size 12 seems like a very distant dream to me :( Ah well, one day!

Woke up this morning feeling very positive, I love how this system makes me feel!

Alibaba - I am 5ft 7".

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/08/2011 14:14

Glaikit it is miles away for me too, 4 stone away, and I can't even remember being that size - maybe when I was 16.

Niecie we must meet up for a coffee and a cake chat. Then I can stop wondering if people are you every time I go to sainsbury's GrinGrin

Going well today. Have just found out that brother and SIL might be coming to my parents as well at the weekend - bleugh. No love lost between us at all. Am now trying to persuade other brother and his DF to come along too and defuse things a bit, otherwise my parents light up hopefully every time any of us speaks to each other, which is hard to endure for a whole weekend!! I will not eat to relieve my feelings, I will not.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 17/08/2011 15:18

Do you two live near each other?

Ali, your weekend sounds a bit stressful! I tyake it you dont get it on? Its good that you know it could trigger overeating, now we just need to set you up with a plan to handle the stress without food! Im guessing you will be doing a lot of tapping ha ha! There are tapping techniques to relive stress, I do one sequence everyday that encourges positive thinking.

I am enjoying the kids being back at school, but I am also bored :( Think I need a hobby now that DS goes to playgroup 5 mornings a week.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/08/2011 15:30

It will be fine really, we see them there occasionally but it is rather strained. We had a huge falling out about 2.5 years ago and none of us are past it really. We only tolerate each other's company for my parent's sake. Other brother and soon-to-be SIL don't get on with them that well either.

I am rather Envy of all your time to yourself, that seems in the dim and distant future for me!! Smile

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/08/2011 15:31

Yes we do live near, very near I suspect Grin

Niecie · 17/08/2011 15:39

HowtoLookGood - Yes, we live in the same town, we think. Smile

I agree your weekend sounds tough Alibaba. Families are damn hard work aren't they? Mine would be great if it weren't for my Dad but he makes things such hard work that I am grateful my parents only live down the road and I only have to endure him in small doses! A whole weekend and I reckon murder might be committed - I wish you luck with your family!! (and I am going to PM you in a mo too - we should meet for a coffee if only to save total strangers wondering why I am looking at them!Grin)

In an effort to stop DS2 reading MN over my shoulder (damn that school for teaching him to read - there is no privacy any more) I tried to distract him with a pile of photos. They turned out to be mostly of his first year..

My boys were sooooo cute when they were little and I looked soooo young and worst yet I looked pretty slim even though I know I was a size 16

It was a nice trip down memory lane but I am using it as a motivational device. I reckon fat must be ageing and it has to go. So there.

Plus I was thinking the other day that I want to have a reasonable figure and no grey hair so I can look half decent for once - I am going to have to get a move on with that weight loss whilst only I can see the grey, because it's coming it is only a matter of time before everybody can see it! Shock

Solo · 17/08/2011 15:49

I've been grey for a while now! I only use a semi permanent colour every couple of months unless I've got something to go to. You can always tell if I'm going somewhere as I've got no grey! Grin

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 17/08/2011 19:37

Jeans are getting looser Grin not going to weigh though, I wont for a few months yet.

How has everyones day been? Did anyone download the track I linked to?

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/08/2011 20:54

Niecie - I have replied :) On your photo you look neither old nor fat, but if something has given you a kick up the bum then good for you.

Motivation is my biggest problem with this whole thing, because in general life is good. DH has only known me at this weight so he isn't hankering after a slimmer version of me. He would like me to lose weight, and he would like to lose some himself, but purely for health reasons and because we are both fed up not being able to just walk into a high street shop and know that X size will fit us.

I bought myself a new dress today - only £20 from Sainsbury's - and it looks fab on! V.chuffed, and I can BF in it! Grin

Glaikit - you are so good with not weighing! How do you resist? My problem is that DH is a weigher as well, and he has to because otherwise he puts on half a stone without even realising - so the scales are there all the time.

Niecie · 17/08/2011 22:08

Alibaba - If you only knew how many hours I spent trawling through photos that looked a little bit flattering!! The 'fat' ones are under lock and key - not that there are that many photos in the first place. I sidle out the way if cameras are waved around or take them myself so I can't be in them. Grin

Solo - I am lucky with my hair - genetic I think as my mother didn't go grey until her late 40's either. Lord knows I deserve a few good genes after the duff bunions, bingo wings and big bum ones she passed on too. Grin

Howto - Well done with the jeans. You say it has taken a long time to get into weight loss mode but what sparked your motivation this time to make Pauling work for you?

Is TheOriginalFAB on holiday? She doesn't seem to have been around for ages. I hope she is OK as she does seem to have been struggling with her health recently. I hope she is away enjoying herself and not stuck at home feeling bad.

arfur · 17/08/2011 22:39

Hello all am starting again after awful few months BUT onwards and downwards (on the scales) will listen to Paulio on MP3 tonight and start afresh tomorrow. Been lovely reading thru the thread and seeing how well youve all been doing - keep up the good work xx

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/08/2011 23:36

Hello arfur, I think perhaps you slipped off before I started? Anyway pleased to meet you Smile

I managed no evening snacking again! This is so huge for me, but I genuinely am not hungry.
Off to a friend's for lunch tomorrow. She serves vast amounts of food but somehow is tiny herself, size 6 I reckon.

Solo · 18/08/2011 00:38

HowTo, I did, but I've no ideahow to put it onto an MP3 player or even if there's any room on it. My friend gave it to me and I just left all his music on there which is quite good/excellent anyway.

Niecie, my maternal Grandad died at 60 and hadn't a single grey hair in his head. My Mum has salt and pepper hair, but it's a really nice colour and she's 70. I'm much darker than either of them though, so am probably more like my Dad...

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 18/08/2011 07:18

Ali - I really just dont have any compulsion to weigh myself anymore, the nit on the mp3 where Paul says "you will stop thinking about weighing" (or whatever it is he says) always stands out to me, so it must be going in! I think also, Im scared to go on and be disappointed with tehresult. I feel amazing just now, I feel thinner, so weighing myself can only do damage really. Also, whenever I have weighed in the past,, no matter what the result (good or bad) I always seem to go on a snack attack! Ive yet to work out why though.

arfur - I too am back after a few months of struggling to Paul (I stopped listening to the CD every single night, I think that was my downfall). I am 100% back in my groove though! 2 weeks now of perfect Pauling :) Welcoem back x

Niecie - Back In Feb, after the seminar, I wanted to be much thinner by the end of the summer holidays. I wanted to wear shorts without embaressment. So in July, I realised Id messed about too much teh last few months and no way could I even buy shorts let alone think about wearing any :( Then I watched Supersize Vs Superskinny, and saw the obese Americans who cant get out of bed & had a scary thought that it could be one day if I dont sort out my food issues :(

I started going grey at 23 Shock At 31 I still only have a few white strands, but enough that I feel I need to dye it if I want to wear my hair down & straightened.
