2nd thread, I know, but the first was asking Qs. So, those of us that are doing it (not many seemingly!) can moan chat here :) I am starting tomorrow (I think - seeing lady tonight) - I am 5'3" & 13st 3lb (ish) and goal is 8st (used to be 9 and to be honest was kinda chubby still, I'll see how I am at 9st and tone though)

Thanks ASLD! I've been fantasizing about my one meal a day too much Grin. And I love turkey!

I'm absolutely fine during the day, but its evenings that drive me mad. Last night I wanted pasta and bread soooo bad. I want to eat again tonight but not because I'm hungry, because its just a habit for me. This weekend will be a good test for me.

But, despite having carbs withdrawals, I have to say the past few days I have been on the diet I have felt (bar Wednesday morning!) great, full of energy, and not hungry during the day. Can't wait for weigh in on Monday.

weigh in last night - was 12 13 so only 6lbs lost in the first week :( Going to try harder this week and go out running. Haven' been all week. Hopefully be....12 9 next week - I was 12 10 the othr day, obviously cheating made me put on 3lbs in the end :( Blush

Only 6lb?! Thats nearly half a stone! Don't feel down ASLD, you did really well. I would be really pleased with 6lb Smile. Also don't forget 2 litres of water weighs 4lb! So if you're drinking that every day then you will be a lot heavier in the evenings than the morning.

Does anyone find they are not hungry at all? Today I noticed it was lunchtime and I wasn't hungry, then I got home, saw the time and still wasn't hungry. Before I'd be absolutely ravenous on the way home. I feel a lot better on this diet than I did before doing it! Hmm

Karia, i was saying to a friend today i've not felt hungry at all. Sometimes peckish when ive been making food for the kids but not any real hunger. To be honest i've not found this week hard at all but i think my problem is going to be keeping it up for weeks on end. I hope i can Smile. I get weighed tomorrow morning argh!!!

Hi Hariboegg! Don't worry after I bought my shakes I had a mars bar and a bottle of coke! Haha. I started the next day too. You'll get that stone off really quickly. I'm jealous you get to eat tuna, mmm I love tuna.

nannyj I really don't feel hungry, its so strange isn't it! The evenings get me though, where normally I'd start stuffing my face.. I'm not hungry just greedy! Hopefully can get weighed on Monday evening and see if it's all been worth it :).

I got weighed this morning and lost.......12 and a half pounds!!! Am so pleased but feeling a bit fed up this evening as i would normally have a lovely dinner. This has made me realise how much time i spend thinking about food. Hope everyone else is doing well Smile.

my weigh in is on tuesday evening, keep your fingers crossed for me, I have had a sneaky weight in at home and wish I hadn't, by day three I seemed to of gained 3 flippin pounds, with no cheating :(
However I checked my measurements and I've lost 2 inches off my waist and 1 inch off my hips, and today the wii fit informed me I'd lost 3lbs, so making progress at last, hoping for more lost by tues eve tho :)

For those of you addicted to the fizzy stuff, you do know you ARE allowed "Coke ZERO" don't you? no more than a can a day, but its the only zero calory one with no citric acid in it. Its definately okay, I checked with my CDC :)

Well done everyone - we are getting there! Weighed in at 12 7 (and a half!) this morning, despite my lapses and a meal out bigger lapse the other other day. So.... lost nearly a stone - 12lbs - in just over a week. Be so chuffed if I can get to 12 5 for Thursday (but in the evening) then it will be a full stone! All my clothes are falling off me GrinBlush, I recon I'm nearly a size 14! Shock I was a 18 when I started, the odd bigger 16 if I squeezed my tummy in lol.

Hello everyone, seems kinda quiet have you all given up? I hope not :(

Well I had my first weigh in and lost 5 lbs (now 12st 6lbs) so pleased as punch :) really looking forward to next week where I get to start having bars :)

I've found the last few days pretty hard, an allnighter with my youngest had me reaching for the choccy digestives on thursday, I did succum and eat 2, but felt so damn sick after, not sure if its the guilt or the first solid food in over a week, well won't be doing that again. I did an hour on the wii fit plus to burn up double the extra calories and no gain since then so could be okay :)

Next weigh in is tuesday evening! will update you all then

I'm still here. Weigh in last night - 12 9 so lost 10lbs in 2 weeks... not too bad since I have cheated Blush Was 12 5 on my scales the day before though! Going to work hard and not cheat and try and get to 12 5 on her scales by tuesday (less than a week, but only time we could do). I am quite grumpy on this diet, I'm not hungry just piggy and want everything! Can't wait to be 11st and come off SS. So nice fitting into things that were too small though, even if most my trousers now fall down!

ASLD - wow thats a really good loss, I'm so with you on the grumpyness thing, its like hardcore PMT...........
I know what you mean about those scales, I seem to measure one thing on the wii fitplus thing, different on my bathroom scales and different again on my cdc scales. so long as I'm loosing weight its all good.

I was thinking about the cheating thing, mainly because I've also accidentally crammed two choc digestives in my great fat cake hole of a mouth, but I wondered if some things are better to have if you cheat than others?

like a slice of ham say, which probably wouldn't knock you out of ketosis where as my choccy biccyc definately would! I'm hopeful being allowed bars after my weigh in on tues will make a big difference, going to have two shakes and save my bar for eating while watching tv in the evening.

I have also noticed if I only have the shakes I feel less hungry (not the tetras they make me ravenous lol) and its a struggle to have the recommended three, however if I have combinations of porridge (maple and pecan YUM) and soups with a shake in the evening, I spend most of the day hungry, which seriously sucks :(

anyone else noticed anything else like this?

Hello can I mark my place meeting with my consultant for the first time on wednesday. Not eating makes me cranky and I'm a really foody. At 5ft 4 and 13st 11 I think I have almost 5 st to loose. Will need all the support I can get! Grin

awww duffegg, I know what you mean...... I have only managed a max of two shakes lately and with no further cheating :) looking forward to my weigh in tonight and getting some bars Yay solid food lol

ASLD - do you find it has a funny after taste, might be different in still water tho :( I've been having the veg drink as it feels like a meal, does mean I struggle to have enough cambridge sachets in a day, but I'm definatly not hungry anymore :)

Hi to Wonka, welcome and just remember the first 4 days are the hardest, once ketosis kicks in the hunger should go honest. drink lots of water and keep busy :)

Right off to mow my lawn now and burn off a few extra calories, will update this evening with my weigh in results TTFN

they do water flavourings, summer berry, sunshine orange and savory vegetable. you probably won't be allowed them until your two weeks in, but they really help with drinking all that water, the sweet ones mix up in 1 litre of water but the vegetable only makes a single cup. You can only have one of these water flavourings in a day as well, so its either a mug of the veg one or a litre of the fruit flavoured water, totally upto you. Same thing with the bars you can't have those until your two weeks in, think its to ensure ketosis is firmly established. mind you the veg one only contains 4 calories and tastes just like a veg soup to me :)
