Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

i love cereal, even coco pops, im not a morning person, but i quite often have a bowl in the evening, esp if DH is out working, its easier than making a whole meal.

im kinda just about holding it together here, DH is in a right mood, and i want to put him in a time out like i do the kids....very tempting!

I mmight have someone coming with my to PM, just waiting to hear if she can get her parents to take her kids for the day, shes almost the sae size as me, a little bigger, but shes much taller than me, so its all relative!

Day at home with youngest DD today, and pick up the other two at their various finishing times. going to try and not eat an entire packet of hot cross buns, maybe a few bowls of cereal when im hungry, seems like a good plan.....good intentions, we'll see how long it lasts.

Reeally need this seminar!!!!

have a good day everyone

whomovedmychocolate · 11/02/2011 08:32

ktwiltshire - just do what will bring you closer to your goal rather than far away. You can of course eat a whole packet of hot cross buns, but it won't make you feel very good (beyond the point of scoffing) and it will take you longer to achieve what you want to.

Why don't you show your DD how to do decluttering and spend some time on that - you are going to have a whole new body soon, you'll need wardrobe space!

solo · 11/02/2011 10:15

One week to go!!!!

ktwiltshire · 11/02/2011 11:34

lol WMMC DD is 8 months old, she can help by looking cute and making noises whilst i do jobs!
I have done a lot of banking paperwork etc this morning, when DD wakes up from her nap its out for a walk and then my neighbour is coming around with her kids for a cuppa (her hips are really bad, worse than mine, so we're kindred spirits)

i was good, i was hungry, so i had a glass of water, waited and then was still hungry so i had a bowl of cocopops, very pleased with myself.

now to prepare for walking to school to pick up eldest DD...its a little too far for me to walk but DH has the car...bloody men!!

i think i have got myself a partner for the PM Seminar, 5.30am start, possibility the best ever reason to get up that early!

ktwiltshire · 11/02/2011 11:42

oh dear DH is in a mood...again....his gig/work has been cancelled for saturday night, i wonder if PM can make me rich as well as thin?

whomovedmychocolate · 11/02/2011 11:46

ktwiltshire - I'm sure she could crawl about chewing your shoes in an effort to help Wink Glad you had a good morning. Don't worry about grumpy husband's, it's their default setting Grin

Deafworm · 11/02/2011 11:55

Ah well thanks anyway, I'll be taking a look at the local cat shelter this weekend hopefully. I'm thinking a one - two year old may be better.

bloomingnora · 11/02/2011 16:06

Did the shred at 6am again! Eating not great today but I am very aware of why. I am definitely not eating what I fancy every time. Must try harder....

Ticket for seminar arrived today, train tickets arrived yesterday! So excited now. Less nervous now the tickets have arrived.

whomovedmychocolate · 11/02/2011 17:39

Wow bloomingnora - well done you! Definitely makes a difference to eat what you really fancy. I'm living on Innocent Veg pots at the minute, they are scrummy.

We've been to the cat shelter and picked out two cats. We now need to see if they get on together in the shelter and if so, they'll do a home visit and they'll come home with us next week. :) We only wanted one initially but there are two cats there who are set for the chop :( if no-one takes them soon and one is a particularly hard to home cat (pedigree persian but who has had to be shaved - so looks terrible at the minute). Plus a bouncy tom who was incredibly affectionate towards the kids.

bloomingnora · 11/02/2011 17:43

I find it hard to predict what I will fancy when I'm making a packed lunch!

Had a message from SW consultant that was extremely nice and positive, so feeling much better about that.

Hooray for new cats! (hate the things myself but understand that you cat people have a soft spot... Wink Poor shaved pussy though Grin ) It's lovely that you will give them a home.

whomovedmychocolate · 11/02/2011 18:00

The shaved cat is a persian - DH punned that it's now a brazillian Grin

bloomingnora · 11/02/2011 18:17
Grin

Glad I didn't offend with my poor joke...

UrsulaBuffay · 11/02/2011 18:32

My cold is rotten and giving me horrible heartburn :( Not sleeping well so not concentrating on eating and what I want to eat is white bread and chocolate

Ooh we have a Brew

ktwiltshire · 11/02/2011 18:59

DH is doing better now, the company website is launching tonight or tomorrow, despite a gig and 2 lesson cancellations he is in a much better mood.

Had some lunch when i was hungry, now deciding what to do for dinner.

wish i could do exercise at 6am!!!! BM you are an inspiration!

whomovedmychocolate · 11/02/2011 19:15

Ursula - bummer. Rest and lots of fluids for you. :(

ktwiltshire, sounds like you've had an on-track day, well done :)

solo · 11/02/2011 19:57

Is a cream tea very bad? Blush
I was hungry though...

FGM · 11/02/2011 20:53

Alrighty... strange things afoot here...

I have been listening repeatedly and, erm, attempting to practice tenaciously but not really noticing much change in my normal (greedy) behaviour... until now.

Today I baked a humongous batch of blueberry muffins for DD1's pre-school "disco" event tomorrow afternoon. And I haven't scoffed a single one in the name of quality control Shock. I'd normally go for a decent sample size of, oh, about 10% but this time I haven't touched them! And I know they'll be delicious- made with love from the best ingredients. Baffled!

Furthermore, in the kitchen cupboards are 2 bars of Green &Blacks chocolate- bought for cooking with the kids and my favourite things... 2 little packets of chocolate or yoghurt covered sesame snaps. And I am not about to gobble them up. Bewildered!

Especially when I add in the fact that DH is busy all evening studying so I am alone with a mountain of laundry and housework!

I think it must be the PM. I'm not drunk or feverish. Just very quietly pleased and hopeful.

FGM · 11/02/2011 20:55

I dare not say more at this point!

whomovedmychocolate · 11/02/2011 21:43

Solo: a cream tea in calorie terms is between 750 and 1200 calories. But it's very positive that you enjoyed it and were hungry.

FGM - that's the ticket. Well done you, keep listening now won't you.

I've stopped listening (only for two days) and will go back to it tonight but it seems to have completely done the job on me, I haven't even thought of overeating for over a week now. Hurrah!

And my jeans now come off without unzipping them. Which is great, except DS noticed this and tried to debag me in Sainsburys Shock Hmm Grin

solo · 12/02/2011 00:20

Ouch!

mummyosaurus · 12/02/2011 06:45

WMMC I am sorry to hear about the cat.

He is a lucky cat to have had your family in his life, but there is nothing you can do now, someone previously damaged him, you gave him a happy last year, but the time has come.

I had to have our rabbit put down last month, (tumour), it was very upsetting, I hope you are okay.

whomovedmychocolate · 12/02/2011 07:44

Thanks mummyosaurus. Well I have absolutely no news to post. Up to early with the kids but food has stopped being the focus of my life - it's just food. :)

Today we are going to the library, a children's party, dinner with a very good friend and hopefully unconscious before midnight.

Deafworm · 12/02/2011 10:00

hope it all goes well with your rescue cats wmmc. I didnt get to listen to the CD last night, wasnt sure paul mckenna would help a labouring cat, she was doing a pretty good job of getting herself thin without it! awkward madam picked our bed to labour on but had 2 healthy kittens last night (unfortunately a third was stillborn) pics on my profile if anyone wants a look
