I am a starting weight of 12st 13lbs, I want to lose 3stone. I am going to do it by South Beach diet and walking and workouts. Starting today! Have had ham and erggs for breakfast, busy for the rest of the day but going to go for a walk later. Have done no exercise over the festive period so a walk is a start! Anyone want to join me? xxxxxx

I'm 5ft 4, had DD in mid Sept. Was 13st 8 when I gave birth, now 11st 10lb and size 16, want to be about 9st 8. Also have an almost 3yr old DS and I'm a SAHM so tricky to exercise at gym/classes due to lack of time/money so I plan to walk everywhere from 1st Jan and do some walking every day. And cut out chocolate, biscuits, cake, cheese, bread and crap and just eat more sensibly with smaller portions. Would like to lose the weight by 30/6/2011! Have walked 1.5 miles each day on Sun, Mon and about 3/4 mile today.

Do need someone to keep me motivated so please nag me!

I'll join! I'm 5'5" and weigh 11st7 and I'm going to lose the weight by cutting out crap and by ditching the car and walking everywhere. I'll also have a go at dusting off my pre-pregnancies running trainers. I'm going to be 38 this year and I DO NOT want to be fat at 40. I have a wedding to go to end the end of June and I would like to be lithe at beautiful at it. Grin

Hi surreygirl, hi reesie! Sorry to have not replied for so long, been busy, but back to normality tomorrow...thank goodness! I am starting tomorrow hardcore south beach diet and exercise, no excuses...i have to do it. Swimming tomorrow. What I dont understand surreygirl, is that I am 5ft 3 and weigh neasrly 13stone but Im a size 16 too....are you sure you're a 16 and not wearing clothes too big for you? Reesie, end of June is plenty of time, you can do it....no more crap for us! xxxxxx

So today I have had...2 eggs and some ham for breakfast, slices of lean beef, some cherry tomatoes and salad for lunch, a spoon of almond butter, some cubes of low fat cheese, and for my tea lamb with courgettes,onions, spinach and brocolli followed by a hartleys fat free jelly. Im hoping to do a boxercise workout soon, couldnt go swimming. Its so funny, had a compliment today about how the weight is dropping off me, Im like erm, Ive just put on 10lbs...

I will also join you! I need to lose exactly 3 stone. I use to do Slimming World, and I lost 2 stone. Was really pleased as I was 10st 2lb! I have since put on that 2 stone and an extra 1 and a half stone Blush That's partly through stress, comfort and contentment. 2010 was an up and down year. So I want to lose what I have put on. Going to try and do Wii Fit for at least an hour a day, start walking more, watch what I eat more, see if I can do the SW diet without needing to go to the meetings. I am 5'3", weighing 13st 7lbs. I'm a size 16/18 depending. Only have 2 tops that fit me properly and can't afford to buy any clothes!

Hey woahthere, well I can't get into my size 14 trousers/jeans and some tops are ok and others don't do up so guess it varies from store to store (jeans are New Look and tops that don't fit are H&M!) I have a real apple tummy post babies which doesn't help. Anyway started proper eating regime without crap today and have had no chocolate whatsoever. Smile Even resisted mince pie at a friend's place earlier! DS was a terror earlier so worse thing is not to reach for the chocolates/biscuits when I am trying not to rise to the bait with him (he's almost 3 and going through tantrum stage!). I am a real comfort eater!!! Not good.

Hi - weighed myself on new years day after I had first emailed and had was heavier than I thought!!! Bloody Christmas Shock

So - I'm starting at 11st 10lbs - so am at the same starting point as surreygirl. Also - I have an apple shaped body - there is far too much going in the middle - whereas the legs and bum are pretty good Grin. I'm currently a size 14 on the bottom and 14-16 on top.

I've been doing the McDougalls diet as I am already a vegetarian and have been eating loads. We'll see though on weigh day on saturday....

oh rubbish, was doing so well today and then my gaze fell on the roses that are taunting me and i scoffed a load, and done no exercise. really need to sort my act out, im not going to lose any weight this way...

Poor woahthere. Bloody chocolate! I read the 'skinny bitch' book over xmas and the section on milk made me feel a bit queasy - so I try and concentrate on that when I come into close contact with the the inevitable abundance of chocolate over the festive period.

Keep going though - the secret is to not to worry about falling off the diet wagon but in dusting yourself off and getting immediately back on it!

Well I've been doing Wii Fit for the past three days. However, when I set my goal on Tuesday, I had put I wanted to gain 7lbs and not lose 7lbs... Blush So I lost a lb yesterday and it was telling me I now need to gain 8lb! And I can't change my goal for another 2 months!! Not been encouraged to gain weight before! Lol Grin

Yesterday I walked into town and back, and I was out for about 4 hours, and sat for probably about 40 minutes. My knee is now in agony as I have problems with my knees, so may have to slow it down exercise wise until my knees are use to being used again!

Eating wise, not so good. Have too many chocolates left over from Christmas, though luckily we're getting close to just having the ones that noone likes here!

Wheyhey!! Stepped on the scales today and was down to 11st 3lb - a whopping 7lbs!!!! Shocking as I've eaten loads. I'm also been starting to feel quite energised and not had one craving for anything fatty or sugary. I'm really enjoying this diet/healthy eating so far. This is just week one though - I just hope my enthusiasm and weight loss continues! Next week will probably be loads less weight loss - I'm happy to lose a pound a week so I won't be wobbly over the summer!

My husband had been away the last week but came back today so I haven't been able to go out for a run as I haven't any family nearby to have dd's who are 4 and 2. DD2 doesn't like to sit in the buggy for more than 6 mins at a time without having a meltdown and can't walk far - so it's been difficult to get any exercise in.

7lbs in a week!!! bloody hell, thats amazing. i have lost 3lbs so feel quite relieved that the scales are heading in the right direction again, i had got to 12st 3 and then it all went tits up so when i get back to that i will feel better. I have done no exercise at all, im not even walking much like i usually would because the kids i look after (am a childminder) are not all back regular after the hols so we arent going to all our usual groups and things...most of which are a good mile or 2 away. i dont finish working till 6 so have not been going out for walks then because i get too scared in the dark! (got jumped on once, no harm but frightened me shitless!) im so happy to be eating right again...it became ridiculous over christmas, i didnt even want the food but was eating it anyway like an addiction. mind you ive not been too harsh on myself this week. ive cut out all carbs, but not the ones in wine form! Hey its working for now! well done all of us...we all lost!!! some more than others (reesie, you big show off!) only joking i am SO happy for you well done reesie, well done tammybear...can you not change the setting on you wii fit btw?

Well done on 7lbs Reesie :) Bit like woahthere as haven't done much if any walking apart from 1.5 miles on Sat and about a mile yesterday. Lost 2lbs so far though... and have no chocolates left in the house or biscuits which is helping. Did have a glass of rose last night though but will try and resist another until next weekend!

2lbs is a good loss surrey girl...nice and steady. In some ways its reassuring to know Im losing that weight and thats before exercise...makes me look forward to when i get to do some...lets face it, its not the right weather to get motivated!

I know what you mean woahthere it's yet another day where it's pissing down here, and if it's not that it's snowing. Roll on sunny days and Spring-I'm like you in that I'm scared of the dark as I got mugged when I was 21...so prefer to walk about when it's light. Not missing sweet stuff at the mo then the bloody creme eggs' ad comes on tv. Argh.

woahthere, no, I have to wait for 2 weeks before I can change it again! But when I did it last night, it said I've lost another lb so happy about that! On Sunday, I had to take DD to her Holy Communion lesson, so we walked to the church, which is a 20 minute walk. Then I walked back home, back to the church and then home again. Regretted it coming home, but was chuffed I did it!

i am doing really badly, not weighed myself but i am eating so much, going out for birthday celebrations this weekend and dont even want to contemplate dieting for that...as for exercise, i am a lard arse...have done nothing. I swear to god. Monday I am getting my arse in gear come rain or shine. well done tammybear, another lb is ace.

I then put 2lbs on... oops lol. I've lost another 1lb afterwards, but reckon I've put that back on as have just been eating crisps and chocolate the past two days... Blush

is it too late to join? i want to lose about 3 stone...
im 5'2 and last sunday i weighed 12st7... iv been on slimming world all week so hope to see a loss, however my scales are broke so wont be able to get weighed untill next sunday at mils unless i buy some scales through the week....
i can honestly say i have stuck to it about 95% of the time this week, which is good for me...
im also hitting the gym tomorrow and have every intention of doing half hour on will every day next week...
im not sure if iv lost weight yet but i have been weeing a lot Grin
hopefully i will see results soon.

Yes I shall! All the good stuff is gone now, and I've still been sticking to Wii Fit every day, which I'm impressed with as usually I give up easily lol. Have wrote down what I am going to have for each meal during the next week so shall stick to that.

thanks woahthere ,well i managed to stick to doing slimming world last week (dont actually go but know what im doing Smile)
and i went to the gym for an hour and half yesterday and managed wii fit twicw this week for 20 mins each time... i did get weighed on the wii board but i dont find it very reliable..... fwiw it said i was 12st 3 which is a 4lb weight loss... after i did my 20 mins it said i was 11st11 Hmm defo not very reliable Sad... im off to work now (until 9.30 tonight Sad) so have packed a bag full of stuff for me to eat Grin im really wanting to stick to it this time!
