How much did you loose . have you lost so far.
And in what period of time.

My problem with loosing weight is that I want reasonably fast results, ie really need to feel that I am loosing 2 ish lbs each week.

I am happy to change my diet and to add in a little more exercise.

Needs to be family friendly menu's.

I have about 3 stones to loose and would really like pictures of my son's birthday in April to be ones I can be proud of rather than dissapointed with.

Is it worth it?

Thanks Riven,
is there anything you miss that you aren't able to eat (obviously body weight in chocolate is not an option!)

I would recommend Rosemary Conley - low fat diet plus exercise; you can loose up to 7lbs in the first fourteen days which is a real boost. Then 1-2lbs a week is average. The exercise really helps. Good luck Smile

Need to build up fitness a bit first.

ooh that sounds fab, would avoid the fat free yoghurt though not a dairy fan (except for cheese which will need to go I assume?)

Hi - I have just come back from my 2nd meeting, so my first weigh-in after starting the diet.

Have to say I am absolutely stunned - I have lost 5.5lbs and I can't believe it.

Ate more than I normally do - pasta, potatoes, rice, loads of vegetables, lean meat, 'syn free chips' etc. Had cheese as healthy extras. Was convinced I hadn't lost any weight at all. Has really motivated me to keep going - easiest diet to stick to (and I've been on them all...). Definitely family friendly - my husband is loving it.

Good luck!

thank you so much ladies,
You have convinced me.
Swedishy, can I ask how much do you want to loose?

OP posts:
swedishy · 22/11/2010 20:03

A frickin' tonne.
I went with 2 friends - 1 has about 4 stone to lose, and she lost 6lb this week, and the other has about 5 stone to lose and she lost 8.5lb!!
(i have more than that to lose - figure it'll come off slowly but surely over 18 months or so)

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 22/11/2010 22:08

I reached my target and have lost 3 stone. I have been on it since Jan 2010 and was never hungry once and am now a size 14 which I havn't been since I got married 10 years agoe. They are lovely people and the recipes are lush. I have 3 ds's ranging from 2- 6 1/2 and they ate most of what I ate. I also cheated with Mcd's and chinese every now and then but here I am Smile
Go for it its fab Wink

gingeme · 22/11/2010 22:17

P.s Quark was my saviour lots. Totaly fat free cheese put 1 teaspoon of Lemon curd (5 syns) and it could almost be lemon cheesecake. Chop up a nice crunchy apple and dip away to your hearts content. You'll be suprised how full you get Smile

Joby1970 · 24/11/2010 08:36
