As an I counted points yesterday while doing my EE day. (Which was mainly red anyway)
I don't think I will follow the WW plan.
For starters I am not eating any differently. I have been adding the points of my various days menus, and I am well inside and seem to have leftover points. (5 yesterday) (Even though I am including 4 for the chocolate roll-I counted it as a Cadburys chocoloate roll 26g because I couldnt find GU and didnt have the nutritional info)
It seems to be more (to me) aggravation with all the counting.
The only thing seems to be if you do exercise, they allow you more points depending on the time and intensity of it.
What is good is you have to think about everything you eat by counting the points. And with SW, it is easy to forget unless you are religious about writing things down. WW encourages portion control whereas SW might not be so good if you are a bit of a binge/comfort eater (Confess
)
However I have found that my portions have beeng getting smaller anyway. I think my brain may be gettting the message.... Yesterday I couldnt finish my lunch so I left half behind.
I think for me, the fact that you have to weigh the meat portions would scream "deprived" to my (clearly bonkers) subconscious and I might over eat anyway, but that's just me.
The other thing with WW is you could easly slip into bad eating habits again by having the sort of food that caused the weight gain in the first place and just pointing it until the points run out. And before you know it you are back where you started.
By the way I come with this point of view as someone who has never masnaged to change my eating habits successfully.
I hope this will be the last time.
So I am going to cancel my WW free membership befire they sting me for any cash.
