Count me in aswell. Scary thought that christmas is not that far away really. I've started swimming again though its an embarassing sight. I'm embarassed doing the overarm stroke as I've been told it looks like I'm drowning sort of arms flailing thing happening and the breast sroke welll not sure what to do with legs so they generally flail.....so I do a mixture of the two. its working lost a pound last week.

I weigh 8st9 but am short and it all goes on my ass would like to get back to 8st or just over.

mancmum · 19/09/2005 16:00

not weighed myself yet as can not remember what day I did last week and my scales are acting up (I have varied by 5 lb over the weekend!!) but still part of this program... got a personal trainer booked every week until Xmas... so I had better lose a 1lb per week as I am losing £30 a week on this!!

QueenOfQuotes · 19/09/2005 16:02

thanks Mascara - I wouldn't want you to think a skinny minny was trying to lose weight with you all

MascaraOHara · 20/09/2005 08:58

So yesterday I was 10.5 and today I'm 10.7 - damn that slice of cheesecake!!!

Why did I wear a thick woolly jumper as well??? I forgot it was weigh-day until after I got dressed!

Still 1lb off so hit my target

OP posts:
motherpeculiar · 20/09/2005 09:16

manmum - to your personal trainer - I'd love one

weighed this am, have lost 2 lbs. However am not dancing with joy as our scales are notoriously unreliable - I may well have put on 2lbs instead

Must invest in new scales. Any recommendations?

donnacb · 20/09/2005 09:36

hi everyone seems to be doing well. ive stayed the same which im actually pleased with as i lost 4lbs last week when ill so thought i would put on once eating again but i havent (yet) so will try and ;lose the 1lb for next week. am now 11stone want to be 10 but will settle for 10.8 for xmas. good luck everyone

dinosaur · 20/09/2005 09:41

Decided to weigh myself this morning after all - even though I wasn't going to until Thursday - didn't want to be left out!

Anyway I think I've lost another pound - so down to 10st 7 lbs now - but like MP's, our scales are somewhat erratic too! Am wearing a pair of trousersu today that were too tight for me a couple of weeks ago though, so that is progress.

DH and I are having a week off drinking too, so that should help. God, how will I put up with him without alcohol to take the edge off... and how will he put up with me

MascaraOHara · 20/09/2005 10:15

Hey! well done everybody!

LilMissHappy · 20/09/2005 12:08

Well done everyone that lost some weight. I have lost 2lbs (10st 3) since last week and am really pleased because I have not gone OTT but have just watched what I eat.

nickiey · 20/09/2005 12:22

Hey all, well I forgot to weigh myself this morning but promise to tomorrow, also have cute halo as am being very good.
(dh has just sugested a night in bed watching films eating ice cream-not sure how that will work (spesh with my nice new white sheets!))

MascaraOHara · 20/09/2005 12:46

Well you'll be burning the calories off afterwards anyway

OP posts:
ja9 · 20/09/2005 19:41

MascaraOHara - get those clothes off and weighyour self again!!!! I will only weigh myself in the buff (sorry is that tmi?)!

Down 3lbs since last week, that brings me to 10st 5. Have a 'special event' in just over 2 weeks, and want to get as much off as poss for it, so heres hopin i can keep this up.

Well done to everyone else too.

MadameButterfly · 21/09/2005 13:57

I am afraid I messed up this week and PUT ON 2.5lbs

QueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2005 14:02

I weighed myself again this morning (obsessed? no not me LOL). I'm now exactly 1lb lighter than last Tuesday

ScrewballMuppet · 21/09/2005 14:07

I seem to weigh differently depending on what time of day it is. A few pound heavier at night than in the morning. Anyone else the same?no why that is?

dropinthe · 21/09/2005 14:14

I'm the same weight as last week but then have had a bad week.
I went to the Doctors today to see if I could be started on Reductil-I can but I have to lose 5 % of the my body weight which is 8 Ilbs-she has told me to go swimming 3 times a week as not much else I can do with my dodgy knee.
So,have much more incentive now to be good-am starting from tommorrow!
Wish me luck!

MascaraOHara · 21/09/2005 14:28

GOOD LUCK!!!

I might try and go swimmin gduring my lunch hour

OP posts:
LilMissHappy · 21/09/2005 17:10

Screwball Muppet, that's normal to weigh a few pounds heavier at night. A lot of the food and drink in your stomach has not been digested yet, which is why first thing in the morning before breakfast is the best time to weigh yourself.

I am only going to weigh myself once per week as find it quite de-motivating watching my weight yo-yo. Been very bad today, had big lunch and lots of chocolate.

MascaraOHara · 22/09/2005 08:49

10.8 again today! am very fed up!! need to start from scratch again, need to be very good, need motivation!!!!! and with myself!

nickiey · 22/09/2005 09:00

Right, so I weighed myself this morning, I know i said id do it yesterday and I know im meant to do it on Tuesday but ive been poorly (still am) with laberynthitis (sp?) its an inner ear thing that knocks you off balance anyway I have been dieting for weeks and just hanging around 13 st 3 one week i loose a pound the next week i put 2 on sort of thing-all very frustrating and tbh soul destroying. This morning on the scales I nearly fell off when i saw 12st 13 huge huge milestone and am now petrified of eating anything as i dont want to go back up!!!!
Im aiming for 11st as im quite tall at 5ft10 and anything less is a bit to skinny for me. Before kids I was 10st 8 and whilst i was happy with that I think that is never going to happen again!
anyway, good luck for the week girls!

ernest · 23/09/2005 07:40

am I too late to join in? I could really do with the support. I am determined to loose my baby weight before his (ahem - 2nd) birthday. I have 8 kilos to loose. I am 63 kilos and want to be 55. I have been so strict with myself for like 2 weeks, but still only lost 1lb a week. Don't understand that. Must cut out alcohol. def. my achilles heel.

What day is weigh in etc? Is it better we do weight in llbs/stones/ or kilos? Anything else to know? oh I'm also 5' 2" btw.

Better loose some soon, as I've been living in stretchy elastic waist skirts all summer & now the weather's turned can't do that anymore. I cannot go back to wearing my maternity jeans.

dejags · 23/09/2005 08:09

I would also like to join if it's not too late. I am a very, very bad person who has absolutely no willpower.

I am 5ft6 and weigh 65.5kgs, I would like to weigh 57. So 8.5 kgs to go.

What are the rules and are you all using llbs & stones as a standard?

MascaraOHara · 23/09/2005 08:46

Hi, of course it's not too late to join!

I'm weighing in st&lb's but you can weigh in whatever you prefer. A couple of people are weighing in just lbs.

After a good start I've flagged, but, I'm back on track today and am going to be extra good over the weekend

dizzy34 · 23/09/2005 16:54

Hi, i would love to join you all. i am 17st 6lb and would love to lose a stone by xmas.

chicagomum · 23/09/2005 17:21

I'd like to join in too, I started on another thread but fell by the wayside. I'm due to start back at wok at the beginning of Dec after a year off (exrended maternity leave) and would like to fit into my old work clothes. I'm 5ft 6 and currently 10st 7lb, would like to be a little under 9 and a half.
