I am 10.8, by December 20th I will be 9.8..

Not on any specific diet but just going to be good. Anyone care to join me?

weighed myself this am and to my shock was LIGHTER than I expected (10st 3lbs) although I am VERY suspicious that the scales is wrong as my clothes still feel tight...

so I am still in, but my weigh-ins might be of dubious merit due to the dodgey scales

had porridge and a half a pear this morning, with a cup of tea - porridge very filling ladies!

helsy · 14/09/2005 11:47

I'll be in. Have to weigh myself first though. I think I could do with losing at least a stone.

Windermere · 14/09/2005 11:57

Yes, I would like to join as I think I have put on a few pounds in the last couple of weeks. Can I wait until next Friday to join as I don't want to depress myself by weighing myself before then.

Donbean · 14/09/2005 12:42

10stone 1 lb,
Lets do it.....

mancmum · 14/09/2005 12:43

I will join in on this! am huge at present and want to get down to huge - 14lbs.... just starting today...

piffle · 14/09/2005 13:11

Count me in, need to lose at least half a stone to start feeling really good, am 10st now, but suit being under 9.5 much more.
I am cycling 1/2 hour either on exercycle or towing dd around behind me on my bike, also walking into town (1.5 hrs twice a week)
Have cut down booze big time and am replacing the odd lunch or dinner with vege soup with little barley/lentils or ham in it.
Hopefully this will work!
Come on gals lets jump to it!

MascaraOHara · 14/09/2005 14:06

I had CrackerBread with low fat Onion & Chive cottage cheese for lunch.

I have a slim-a-soup stashed away for later in case I get hungry"

Not sure what to have for tea...

had wholemeal bread with hummous, ham and rocket for lunch - delicious and very filling (and probably calorie laden but good for me I hope)

have cut out the booze like piffle, so hope that will knock a good few cals off a week

must get exercising

spykid · 14/09/2005 16:45

count me in
am 9.6 and want to get down to 9
have lost 9 pounds over last week and half though!!! so good start

LilMissHappy · 14/09/2005 16:47

9 pounds over 1 week and a half!! How did you do it?

I am not being as good as Mascara and MP but have cut out all naughty things and drinking loads of water. Did 20 minutes on exercise this morning.

spykid · 14/09/2005 16:53

doing a vile faddy diet someone gave me which involves lots of eggs but bloody works!
I however stink

donnacb · 15/09/2005 07:52

id love to join to. have been slowly losing weight with another thread but everyone seems to have dissapeared. ive lost 8lbs in 8 weeks. (was ill which helped) would love some motivation. am now 11 stone would like to be 10 stone. although my huge mochawith cream yesterday wouldnt have helped much. if peeps have any nice low fat meals theyve tried post them. have severe no food inspiration at mo. also is it worth giving ourselves exercise tasks like a 30 minute walk twice a week or 10 squats a day. did this at the sink the other day. what do peeps think. i need all the help i can get.

fairyfly · 15/09/2005 08:00

Spykid does it involve graprefruit?

dinosaur · 15/09/2005 10:23

Anybody else weighed themselves today?

I'm 10st8lbs, down from 10st11lbs last Thursday, so am very pleased .

mancmum · 15/09/2005 10:29

lost 1lb so am now the sylph like 11-7 -aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!

compo · 15/09/2005 10:29

I've lost a pound so now 10st3 - went out last night and ate and drank heaps so trying to be good today

logic · 15/09/2005 10:55

I've got off to a bad start, ate tons yesterday partly because I'm still doing a few bfs a day. That's my excuse anyway! Must do better. I've started doing stomach crunches - just 10 a day to start with to try and get rid of the baby tummy.

MascaraOHara · 15/09/2005 10:56

Hey guys, well done!!!!

I might weigh myself Saturday morning but not officially until Tuesday.

I didn't have time for breakfast at home so had a MullerRice when I got to work, had Tea instead of a Mocha so thought that was good and I'm now munching on an apple.

I had cheese and biscuits for dinner last night so not great but I figured it stopped me craving (love cheese!) and I didn't have 2 much.

I've got crackerbread and low fat colslaw for lunch and another slim-a-soup but in a meeting from 1 so that should stop me eating this afternoon

Dino - I would like to get stop eating carbs late but as we tend not to eat until 9-ish it's almost impossible.

hi everyone

haven't weighed today but just come back from a pilates class so feeling very virtuous

had my porridge for brekkie again - yum

last night had lamb steak with broad bean salad, followed by cheese and crackers and grapes yum again

can you tell I like my food

need a cuppa now and really want a slice of toast - is it close enough to lunchtime to count as lunch??????

MascaraOHara · 15/09/2005 12:00

Did you have your toast MP? I just had my cup-a-soup, counting it as part of lunch!

OP posts:
dinosaur · 15/09/2005 12:08

Mascara O'hara - we eat late too - but I've just been not having any pasta/rice/potatoes/bread with mine. Haven't really felt hungry, which just goes to show that I was eating unnecessarily vast amounts before! I think my trouble is I still eat as if I were breast-feeding, when I had a gargantuan appetite...

MadameButterfly · 15/09/2005 12:14

Count me in too, please.

I go to weight watchers every Wednesday morning, so I will post my weight then.

I currently weigh 10st 7lbs. DP has said that when I get to 10st I can buy a new dress for his works Xmas do which is on 3rd December.

motherpeculiar · 15/09/2005 12:39

yep - had my toast, delicious

enjoying my coffee now and trying not to dream of dinner

we eat late too but are trying to cut out carbs in the evening. DH is interested in losing a bit of weight too and we both like the sound of th eGI diet as it seems quite healthy - anyone else into this?

previously my best way of losing weight is to do a full month long detox, hurts at the start but the end result is fab (not just weight, skin, hair, energy too) - just don't have the wherewithall to start that now as still bf'ing and up in the night feeding so couldn't cope with the inital 2 weeks of hell

enjoy the rest of your lunch mO'hara (love your name btw)

antibes · 15/09/2005 16:58

can I join the big loss?

LilMissHappy · 15/09/2005 17:29

I've been really good today apart from two biscuits!

I had fruit and cereal for breakfast and salad for lunch. Going to go jogging for 1/2 hour tonight.

I think Donnach's idea about setting a task for everyone each week is a good idea. How about 10 sit-ups every day?
