Lost a pound this week :)
...so I should have, as I've eaten an average of 1400 calories a day before exercise, done the Shred every week day, cycled ds to school, done an hour's gardening a day and my Pilates class (75 minutes) on Monday
.
I blame beginning to go throguh the menopause - my metabolism has really slowed down.
If I could break the 12 sotne barrier by Christmas, I'd be really happy - but it might be asking too much. However, I do seem to have got myself into the zone - am no longer craving (Lidl) Jaffa cakes, which were my "treat" of choice (only 47 calories each) or my "healthy" chocoloate (Lidly 74% cocoa plain chocoloate) for when I really needed a chocolate fix. I'm happy to "snack" on clementines, grapes and the odd banana (after my Shred).
Trimmer: no-one has really noticed a difference (except my dad a month or so ago) as no-one has really seen much of me since I stopped work - so they haven't seen the weight I'd pout on. Dh says that my tummy is maybe a wee bit less round. The pair of "good" trousers that I reluctantly bought in the Sales at Christmas as I didn't have any others that I could fit into for a work trip are definitely looser though.
One thing I have noticed is that since I've put on the weight, my trousers now wear out between the legs in a way they never did before
. Still, it means that I have an excuse to go and get another pair of "good" trousers a size smaller, as they're nearly worn through
Trimmer: be grateful for your ds for giving you the exercise! :)
Piste: have you given up on the wellies yet? Ds has decided off his own bat to do a sponsored silence for the day (at least until 7pm when the rugby club family night starts) - yaaaay! The school has agreed, so he has gone in with a notepad to write down his responses in class - and produced a wee note on my computer for his teacher to sign verifying that he had been silent all day.
Bebe: sorry about the hip. Hope you get some releif soon. At least you can pat yourself on the back that having lost all that weight, you are not putting unnecessary pressure on it.
Hecate: congratulation on your loss - slow and steady is the way to go!
Ds is aware I am on a diet - but only sees me eating healthily as my big issue was stopping the snacks/chocolate munchies. I eat the same as dh and him at mealt times - just tend not to have as much. He's also usually the only one of us to have dessert. He does however, already call my stash of plain chocolate "healthy chocolate"
and occasionally asks if he can have a square.
