That's it, thought it would be good to support each other?

Hi i'm joining ww this week too. Not sure what day need to check meeting times etc (on my phone on holiday at the moment) when I get home. I have birth 5 months ago. Lost alot of weight quickly...2 stones within 3 weeks of giving birth but have gained at least a stone again since then. I feel awful. I'm still breastfeeding so not sure how it works. Did ww years ago and lost 3 stone. I was so into it. Think its the best diet and think its sensible. Won't be easy though cause I eat non stop!

fishingfilly · 12/09/2010 18:03

great news I think they have a programme for nursing mothers...take it easy though

I'm in. I lost nearly four stone over the last year, have just taken the summer off (put on a couple of lbs) but need to go back for the final stone.

EagleNebula · 12/09/2010 18:25

Me please! DD 6 months old, I lost 20lb of babyweight until beginning of August now have plateaued....need a kick up the backside, want to lose 3 1/2 more stone.

harverina - WW is great when breastfeeding, if fully breastfeeding you get an extra 10 points a day, when your DC starts solids or you start mixed feeding it's an extra 5 a day. When you stop bfeeding altogether, no extra. Tell your leader and they'll give you a breastfeeding leaflet which explains it all.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/09/2010 19:33

im doing ww, lost 22 lbs and got 11 lbs to go

i do it at home alone (refuse to pay someone £5 a week to weigh me lol) and also on another thread on here which boosts me along

i weigh on a friday :)

AppleHEAD · 12/09/2010 21:43

Can I join you? I need to lose a stone at least but most importantly I need to eat healthier. I think a regular weigh in will help... Feel such a fat failure

huffythethreadslayer · 12/09/2010 21:48

I need to join. I'm about 3 stones overweight. Have joined a gym, but lost motivation with it a little. Am going to book a Personal Trainer (cheap n cheery, not as posh as it sounds) for a few weeks to sort out a programme, so hopefully that'll get me going. Need to lose before Christmas.

I've done WW before and really object to paying £5 a week when I know what I need to do...I just need the motivation to do it.

If I join, perhaps we can egg each other on? See what hints and tips we have??

Looking forward to this :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/09/2010 21:56

huffy thats how i feel,i know the points of foods and know if i stick to my points, i will lose weight

i am also on this thread and we are LOVELY :)

harverina · 12/09/2010 23:30

AN extra 10 points? That seems an awful lot just for breastfeeding (why am I complaining?) Joining a class on Friday I think. My DH says its a waste of money but I found the classes really helped before. If I do it alone, can I buy the new books without joining?

fishingfilly · 13/09/2010 09:48

Hi Ladies....so glad youve decided to join me, Im too doing it from home.

I weighed in today but hope to weigh every Friday, so here goes....

Start Weight = 10stone 9lbs = 18 points a day

Good luck everyone

I'll join you. I'm on another thread too, but I've lapsed so, so badly. Gained 3lbs in 2 weeks. Back up to 10st 4 now.

sigh

Why can't I stop eating crap? Why?

Anyway, also aiming for a stone. Even 12lbs would do. I can't get under 10st for some reason.

I'm 5'2"

I'll be using Foodfocus, but the WW principles. Also getting back into yoga and re starting my Shred challenge.

Good luck everyone!

fishingfilly · 13/09/2010 10:48

Hi encyclogirl...yes I know that I am eating rubbish - wine, chocolate, crisp, biscuits!!!

I am now in "the zone" and am trying to do a healthy diet of:

Porridge for brekkie
Apple/Fruit for snack
Salad or J Pot for lunch
Chicken/fish and veg for dinner
Dessert - WW desert or yoghart

Cutting out drink altogether in week and will treat on Fri and Sat nights

Also going to try and do my DVD work out 3 times a week - this week it will be Wedn, Fri and Sunday
This works for me

What is everyone else going to do?

I've been doing points (am going to meetings) but have been doing the Simply Filling plan this week for a change. So for today:

Porridge breakfast
Banana snack
Spag bol for lunch with muller light
Beef stew and rice for dinner with fruit and plain yog

Trying to drink more water/tea/coffee instead of thinking about snacks, snacking is my downfall.

Not drinking much alcohol at the minute although have a black tie do this Saturday coming up...will save some points!

Tap dance on a Tuesday and have joined a gym last week, need to get there this week...half heartedly 30-day shredding but not sticking with it very well! Weigh in on a Thursday, 14 stone, would be happy with 11 but dream goal weight is 10 and a half. I need the meetings to stick with it I am extremely good at giving myself weeks off if not!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/09/2010 13:52

i did the 30 day shred last week for the first time

i HATE anitas stomach

b cereal banana
l beans on toast and raspberrys
t prob pasta pesto

remember girls that a lb a week is just under 4 stone a year

this is long haul, and you wont lose the weight in a few weeks, or possibly a few months but take it slow and steady and you WILL get there

encyclogirl · 13/09/2010 15:47

Hi guys,

This is my eating plan today:

Brekkie: Porridge
Snack: Pear
Lunch: count on us chicken and pasta salad for lunch. Count on us bag o crisps. Apple
Snack: Pear
Dinner: Chicken stir fry.

I'm drinking Pu-erh tea today, anyone ever try it. Posh Spice used to drink it years ago. It's really doing a number on my bowels!

harverina · 13/09/2010 21:08

I havent done ww for a few years and can the plan has changed a bit since I did it. I always preferred just doing the good old points plan. Joining either Thur or Frid.

encyclogirl · 13/09/2010 21:24

Hmmm, chicken stir fry turned into a fish finger and salad wrap.

Actually quite nice. My healthy take on Fillet o' Fish.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/09/2010 23:19

Nothing quite like a fish finger sandwich esp with salad cream :)

fishingfilly · 14/09/2010 09:23

I think weve all made a great start!

Last night I had a lovely salad I found on WW site it was:

Tuna, rocket, red onion and white beans, bit of parsley and ½ juice of a lemon with crackers - very different, filling and tasty. Finished off with a WW yog.

Today it's:

B - cornflakes, sk milk,
L - rest of the tuna salad, crackers, apple
D - not sure, perhaps chicken breast with cajan spices rubbed on with veg rice

What's your menu for today?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2010 09:29

b cheerios and skim 3p
l fish cake and brocolli and carrots 4p
t not sure yet, depends if dh will cook/how my appetite is etc as dont feel 100% but will battle on as that is what us woman do :)

EagleNebula · 14/09/2010 10:57

B - special k & skimmed milk
L - not sure but will involve smoked salmon
D - leftover beef stew & jacket

DD was up all night going bonkers with teething so am knackered, trying to conserve my energy for tap dancing tonight!

fishingfilly · 14/09/2010 12:20

Hi Eagle teething god remember it well!!! Once I was up from 1am-5am every 10 mins - has 2 hours sleep and had to go to work!!! Get lots of fresh air and cold water.
