I've found what I believe to be the world's best diet and wanted to share it with fellow mumsnetters.

But first - I want you to guess what it is!

just tell us

life's too short

or

Alouiseg · 30/08/2010 13:01

Tell me or I will have to kill you. I may kill you anyway if it's something like "eat less, move more". Wink

rainbowinthesky · 30/08/2010 13:02

I dont know but I am guessing it's not eating a whole bar of green and blacks in one go whilst mumnsetting and telling your dc it's grown up chocolate that will make them sick so you cant share...

Fantasticdiet · 30/08/2010 13:02

I promise that this diet delivers steady weight-loss of 2-3lbs a week

And you don't have to do anything!

Promise this is a really good thing, and no-one knows about it because it's sort of ancillary to something else.

NoS diet :).

mamaloco · 30/08/2010 13:03

Alouiseg You might have to kill her, becuase it is the best diet in the world. Eat a little bit of everything even chocolate, and take the stairs insetad of the lift! (your feet instead of the car).
Wink

sorrento56 · 30/08/2010 13:04

If it is the least known diet how are we supposed to know what it is? Hmm

ValiumSingleton · 30/08/2010 13:04

I bet it's give up anything that comes in a wrapper.

WhamBam · 30/08/2010 13:05

Alouiseg · 30/08/2010 13:05

Takes the fecking stairs anyway Hmm

SecretNutellaFix · 30/08/2010 13:05

get food poisoning? you're so ill you can't eat for weeks properly and you definitely lose a lot of weight.

ValiumSingleton · 30/08/2010 13:06

Don't eat anything that wasn't available during rationing?

Fantasticdiet · 30/08/2010 13:06

ROFL - I promise I am not on any form of commission and it really isn't marketed as a diet - it just happens to be the best diet I've ever tried

OP posts:
ValiumSingleton · 30/08/2010 13:06

come on. spit it out.

ValiumSingleton · 30/08/2010 13:07

Actually, is that it? chew it, then spit it out?

WhamBam · 30/08/2010 13:08

SecretNutellaFix - i think you've hit the bacteria on the head there. Botulism!

Fantasticdiet · 30/08/2010 13:09

ROFL at chewing it up and spitting it out

Double ROFL at botulism - good guess - although I'm not sure botulism would give you long term steady weight loss

OP posts:
ValiumSingleton · 30/08/2010 13:11

pastapestofor6 · 30/08/2010 13:14

annoying and smug

Fantasticdiet · 30/08/2010 13:18

Oh, I've made you all grumpy :(

And I'd planned to hang on a bit for the big reveal.

So, here it is:

Well, my bottom teeth are uneven, which created pockets in my gums which were prone to infection. After much debate my dentist persuaded me to have a fixed brace fitted on my lower teeth.

The fixed brace is virtually invisible because they use ceramic fixings for adults. But eating is very inconvenient. Snacking just stops completely. You just don't snack when you know you're going to have to clean your teeth thoroughly afterwards. You also tend to eat smaller portions.

Apparently it's a well-known phenomenon (to dentists) but it's a happy side-effect for me.

Just wanted to share :)
