Remind me what needles and measurements for the Mounjaro golden dose please!

I’ve restarted Mounjaro after a 9 months break but have forgotten the logistics of the golden dose. I’m hoping someone can remind me please. My questions are:

1. Where online is the best place to buy the syringes from?
2. What length of needle?
3. For 2.5mg, do I fill up to 60 and is that the same for all mg?

Sadly nearly all pens now don't have the excess medication left over after doing 4 doses. Eli Lilly changed the amount they fill the pen and instead of 0.6ml to 0.9ml being leftover, there is now no more than 0.3ml remaining after 4 doses.

You can still use the 0.3ml but that's only half a dose, as a whole dose for any strength pen is 0.6ml.

Only the 2.5mg pens still have the golden/bonus dose now—they’ve stopped doing it for all the others. Fine if you never need to go above 2.5mg, but that isn’t the case for most people.

The 2.5mg pens will eventually all be the new design soon too.

I use the 0.3ml leftover as half a dose and then do half a dose from a new pen, which means every other pen you get an extra full dose. Assuming you’re staying on the same dose level and that you’re not using a higher strength pen to do a smaller dose.

If you want to use a separate syringe to extract medication you need 1ml syringes with needles that are 4 to 8mm in length and around 32g in gauge.

@SilenceInsideI’m glad you said that as I can see there’ll be an extra dose in my 2.5ml pen and was wondering. Thank you for the syringe information too, much appreciated.
