How do I know which product I should use?

Hi everyone, new here :) Hoping someone can help :) Im thinking of starting the jabs (although I know there are tablets now too!) but I dont know which medicine I should use or which pharmacy to go with. They all seem to keep advertising on instagram to me but its all so overwhelming! Ive found this website https://www.glpwinner.com/ but is there a UK version? I dont want to pay too much but I also want to make sure I do this right as Ive had friends who have gone on and off the products and seems like they are just doing the old school yo yo dieting again but paying lots of money for it! Thanks!

The UK equivalent comparison site for mounjaro is monj.co.uk, for wegovy it's igovy.co.uk

All providers on there are GpHC registered and legit.

Have a look at the website https://monj.co.uk/ it has price comparisons for Mounjaro and also links to similar comparisons for Wegovy injections/tablets and Foundayo.

Mounjaro is expensive and unfortunately people can be forced off effective medication due to costs. I guess that can appear to be yo-yo dieting but it’s a very different situation that those people are in.

If I was starting out today I'd give the tablets a try first. They're cheaper and if you plateau you can move to the injections later.

Thank you. What is the difference? Other than being in a tablet. I read somewhere they don't work as well. Other than price and tablets vs injections what is the difference between all the places advertising to me? Ive seen Bolt and Voy, Asda, Morrisons -seems like everyone is selling them, how do I know who to go with or is it just about price?

Thank you everyone for your help so far. Ive checked out monj!

There are two tablets currently available. Wegovy tablets which is the same medication as in the Wegovy injections. The tablets need to be taken daily on an empty stomach (min 8 hours fasting) with a small amount of water and then absolutely nothing consumed for at least 30 mins. They are a bit less effective than the Wegovy injections. Both are less effective than Mounjaro.

Then there's the Foundayo tablets which are less effective than the Wegovy tablets, but can be taken without any of the restrictions that the Wegovy tablets need.

In terms of which pharmacy or company to choose, it really doesn't matter. The medication they supply is exactly the same wherever you get it from so personally I would be mainly guided by price and TrustPilot reviews.

Some companies like Voy, Numan, Bolt etc operate as a subscription model where they will automatically charge you for the next prescription every month and may assume that you automatically want to step up the dose, or stay the same etc. To change that you'd need to log in to your account and change it before the next order. They also have minimum subscription times, 3/6/12 months can be common. Some may charge a cancellation fee if you want to leave the subscription before the end of the term.

Some companies, often the subscription ones, want to justify their prices by offering additional services alongside the medication. Usually apps, AI chat bots and things like that.

It's worth remembering that you can change pharmacy at any time to take advantage of a good new customer deal.

On average Wegovy tablets outperform Foundayo tablets but Foundayo is the easier tablet to take as you don't need to worry about timing.

I'd give Voy and Bolt a miss. Asda and Morrisons are not the cheapest, although I started with Asda.

Look on the comparison website (link already provided by other posters above) and just choose the cheapest. They're all registered and all selling the same meds.

Also, you still need to think longer term before jumping in. Are you willing to make changes to your diet and lifestyle longer term?

Do you have more than 3 stones to lose? If so, how do you intend to maintain your new lower weight assuming you’re successful?

Quite a few posters on here have lost lots of weight but then re-gained some of it back when they stop taking the medication because they didn’t make any changes.

For me, I decided against tablets just because I know from previous experience of long term medications that I can be absent-minded about taking them daily.

I then picked Wegovy because it was cheaper than Monjaro.

And then I bought from Voy because I had to pick somewhere!

I'm 2 months in and happy with my choice so far, but will re-evaluate at one year.
