Asking for feedback. How are you finding the changes to the Weight loss injections/treatments topic page?

Two weeks ago, we updated the Weight loss injections/treatments topic page. Did you notice the change? What do you like, or not like as much about the new page?

Specifically, we’d welcome feedback on the imagery, About section, Community highlights, and thread page updates.

Let us know what you think, all feedback is welcome.

I like the images!

I tend to use safari or desktop - I have noticed and I personally preferred the old setup -

• there is a whole page of ad, pretty picture, highlights to scroll past before getting the threads - not keen on this
• How do I get back to topics list / active threads / etc as there is no easy way now the pane that was in the right hand side is gone and also the Active My feed I'm on I started I'm watching Bookmark Saved Last hour Advanced search options at the top of the page are gone. What it has been replaced by is just using space and not useful.
• Nowhere to directly access search from the thread list
• I don't use the community highlights as find it easier to just look at the list of threads
• I prefer the compact view - card view was too busy for me
• I'd like an easier way to hide threads, I used to be able go into a thead and hide it with the option at the top of the screen, now I need to scroll all the way to the bottom of thread which is annoying. I would like to see a hide button beside the thread so I don't need to enter the thread to do this (similar to the active threads view)

The imagery is aesthetically ok, but would prefer it to be useful.

Personally I really dislike the scrolling list of threads. Hard to navigate and find older posts that I have been reading but not contributing too.

Bring back pages and dates please.

No benefit at all as far as I can tell.

I actually can't at the point of this.
I know what threads I'm on and I know (if I'm the OP of a long-running one) when it's time to start a new one.

What's different now? I know I can be slow on the uptake but what has changed?

I can't see any images, either, because I've got the Brave app. It filters out all the adverts.

This. I don’t notice any difference.

I only really use the app so it’s not had an effect on me.

What’s the purpose of the change? What is it supposed to add to the user experience?

Though I have noticed some new posters and people ‘finding’ our thread, a couple of whom appeared to have less than nice intentions…

In my Notifications, I prefer the old system of it telling me how many new threads there are in a topic and taking me to the topic - with the newest threads at the top. Then I have a choice whether or not to click on those new threads.

Instead, this new system takes me straight into one of the new threads which I may have zero interest in whatsoever. That just seems like a sneaky way to drive traffic/engagement figures for individual threads

I didn't realise how much I use the shortcuts along the top of the topic page to navigate e.g. the ones below the Talk heading that read "Active, My feed, I'm on, I started, I'm watching, Bookmarks, Saved, Last hour, Advanced search". I flick between Active and I'm On mostly and it's annoying that it's not there on the new layout.

I don't mind the images, although they take up space. The number of visitors and the other stats are interesting to see. I like the panel on the right that summarises the section and gives some guidance as to the purpose of section.

I am not sure about the Community highlights section. It is a way to highlight some threads but I am unclear as to how they get in that section, and I wonder whether newcomers would notice them any more or less than the threads themselves. I am so accustomed to looking at the list of threads in the topic that I don't look at the top of the page.

I use Threads I'm On to navigate to things so hadn't noticed the changes to the WLI topic as a whole!

This. This is the only difference I've noticed and it's a bit of a pain because I am now forced to look at one particular new thread on the topic and not the list of new threads so I miss stuff I might be interested in.

Really dislike it as I think the other way was much easier to navigate. I’ve stopped using it as much as I did.

A particular bug bear of mine is how it defaults to most recently updated and not newest first. Too many clicks now to get to what you want to see.
