Wegovy injections- need advice on multivitamins & collagen supplements

I’m on Wegovy, have PCOS and type 2 diabetes, and have lost 2 stone so far! I’m also doing cardio and strength training 3 times a week.

I’m looking for affordable supplements available in the UK:

A good multivitamin to help cover nutritional gaps while losing weight.

Collagen powder or small tablets to support skin, hair and nails

Which UK brands do you recommend, and have you noticed a difference? I’m on a budget, so I’d love something affordable and good value, ideally without having to swallow large tablets.

Thank you

I've just finished reading "Make me Well' and his conclusions were pretty clear that collagen does nothing at all so is a waste of money. Worth a read.

If you are on a budget then collagen is an expensive way to get a bit of extra protein. As the PP has said there’s no evidence that it has any benefit beyond that.

For multivitamins, I’d go with the cheapest supermarket brand that’s available to you if on a tight budget.

What age are you? I take Menopace (although I was doing that long before I started MJ) but that's where I am in life. 😁It's not the cheapest but it's usually on a 3 for 2 deal at Boots. Plus extra Vit D - as pp said supermarket version is fine, and B complex.

I also take separate magnesium - citrate and/or glycinate. Cheapest place for that is Amazon.

Most of this predates MJ. The magnesium has become more specific and targeted depending on side effects (ie constipation basically).

I think professionals are now saying that Collagen is just ground up waste products from the meat industry and consuming it has no benefit.

I just buy Aldi multi vitamins. 💁

The scientist (and realist) in me thinks that multivitamins have in them what is written on the packaging. So paying for a more expensive brand, that delivers essentially the same substances into my body, is a false economy.

In winter I always add extra Vit D as a supplement (because my work means I rarely see the sunshine). That's also supermarket own-brand.

Thank you all for the helpful suggestions there . I shall look into purchasing the book titled “Make me Well” and multivitamins
Am 37 years old so am aware that I’m not younger 🤣😫
