Talk to me about supplements please. What, if any, have you decided to take and why?

I’d really appreciate any input šŸ™

Creatine is essential. Especially for women. Read the link but long and short is it helps protect muscles from age deterioration, helps boost brain function and focus and improves strength/muscle mass. https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/articles/cjdjrvr4dk5o

protein intake should be 1.5/2g per kg of body weight so if I weigh 80kg I’ll eat 160g of protein. If I can’t get this from food I’ll have a shake. Anabolic gold is best. This assumes strength training. It has to be spread over the day otherwise you you just excrete excess. Protein fills. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/10-reasons-to-eat-more-protein

cod liver oil and calcium from Tesco. My nan always told me re CLO and my calcium is low. Apparently people in the uk suffer with calcium and vitamin D deficiency. Also take something for my joints which I think is glucosamine sulphate.

zinc and magnesium before bed. General healers. https://www.myvitamins.com/blog/health/health-benefits-zinc-magnesium/

the only one I remember is cod liver oil and calcium 🤣

Tub of creatine with a measuring spoon in it which is also filled with creatine

What is creatine, what does it do and should you be taking it?

A registered dietitian explains what creatine does, its benefits for muscle and brain health, and whether creatine supplements are safe and worth taking.

You don’t need any supplements. I take a multivitamin which I always have done, and that’s it.

Interesting. That article doesn't suggest we need creatine supplements at all. It seems to say the opposite in fact.
