Has anyone read that magnesium helps when your on mounjaro. this person said that her doctor said that you should start with magnesium with mounjaro. She is on the highest jab and said she had plateaued and tried this particular one with Bisglycinate gummies. Now it could be a sales pitch 9(which she says isnt) but she has said that it has helped with sleep and kick started her loss. just wondered if anyone else knows anything about it. sorry if you think im nuts but heyho.

I have not needed to take magnesium beyond what is in my daily multivitamin. It's not necessary and no doctor should be saying that you should start taking it with Mounjaro. My weight loss was "kick started" by the Mounjaro by the way!

I know that some people find the different sorts of magnesium helpful if they are having trouble sleeping, or to help with constipation. Which type I cannot remember, but an internet search would clarify.

It’s good for constipation which is maybe why it was suggested.

Magnesium Citrate is good for easing and preventing constipation, in a gentler way than magnesium oxide. Glycinate is better for sleep, without the laxative effects.

But I'd wait until you see how things go first because, especially in the early days, MJ can cause diarrhoea.

@GiveMeWordGames - completely agree. My ‘normal’ for the past few years was constipation. MJ is helping that. Or the two kiwis/day is?
