I didn’t realise I was post 1000 and now the old thread is full so I thought I’d start thread 2! 💉

Oh wow, I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks as I’ve been super busy and just came along to share my progress and realised we have made it onto a second thread!!! I’ll go back and have a catch up on everything I’ve missed.

I maintained last week which I was ok with. I had planned on weighing in a day earlier as we had a meal booked in on the Thursday night but completely forgot so the maintain was expected after a large (larger than normal for me now anyway) meal.

weigh day again today and I’ve lost 2.5lb! I’ve officially passed the 2 stone mark now and I’m absolutely over the moon.
i had a weekend away last week with lots of alcohol and a Burger King! So I’m shocked if I’m honest.
I’m a couple of weeks ahead of my interim goal now as I wanted to have hit 2 stone before my holiday on the 24th this means I can hopefully drop a couple more and won’t be too disappointed if some of it goes back on after my holiday.

im still on 2.5. Definitely feeling the hunger creep in earlier in the week and the treats are creeping back in. I had debated maybe moving up to 3.5 (or whatever it is between this and 5.0 that people do) but I’m still losing so I think I’ll stick with it.
I want to be able to make the good decisions when I come off it and I think staying on 2.5 will give me the best shot at that.

5”7
SW 13.7
CW 11.7 (2 stone down)
TW 10.7 (1 stone to go. Goal is by Xmas)

LovelyLapin · 09/10/2026 10:36

Well done on that loss! I love it when a big whoosh happens!

I am also still on 2.5.

I’ll be one exercise class down this week as we have visitors. But I’m starting one hour per week with a PT next week.

I was lower earlier in the week but I had two ‘meals’ yesterday which is unusual for me. Normally I have two protein yoghurts, 2 kiwis and one meal. Yesterday I had a protein drink and a second meal (almost always meat, salad and mayo - need to weigh how much mayo I’m having or maybe switch to something lower calorie - I’ve been doing LCHF for years so never considered it before). My calorie requirements are really low Tue-Thu as I work long hours sat down. I need to add a short run at some point on those days I think.

18/1 SW 190.4
2/7 SW for MJ 177.2
Today 151.0
Total weight loss: 39.4 lb (2 stone 11.4 lb)
Weight lost before Mounjaro: 13.2 lb
Weight lost on Mounjaro: 26.2 lb (1 stone 12.2 lb)

Goal 147.0????

Found you!

3 months in now and I'm down 10kg. Really pleased with the loss, even though most of it was in the first 6 weeks.

Another 1.5kg and I'll have lost 10% of my body weight.

Feeling positive 😄

BritbirdUK · 09/10/2026 15:12

Oh phew - well done @LovelyLapin for starting the new one. I have been so busy recently and not had a chance to log on.

I can't remember if I said but I had a blood test and although the results compared side by side to my last ones were positive, my cholestrol which has never been an issue was up. I was due to see the nurse this week but she had to cancel as she was ill so I have to wait for a few weeks which is annoying but also gives me a chance to lose a bit more weight.

Things are going really well for my loss still. I am due to finish my 4th pen today (1 at 2.5, 2 at 5 and then 1 at 7.5. I am sticking with 7.5 for as long as possible as whilst I still have food noise I don't have anywhere near as many cravings and am definitely not overeating. My loss, as of this morning is officially over 5 stone - 5 stone 3.8lbs to be precise. 5 was my goal for Christmas with a stretch target of 6. I should easily get to 6, hopefully more, but I don't want to give myself unrealistic targets and push to 7. I mean if I can that would be bloody brilliant but I doubt it will be feasible.

I feel so much better in so many ways, more mobile, more confident and happier in myself. I sleep a bit better and have more energy. My skin, although never a problem, is more glowy and definitely not as dry as normal. It was our wedding anniversary this week and normally we would've gone out for dinner. Hubby had a meeting booked in London anyway so wasn't going to be until 8.30ish and we said we were going to have a takeaway. He got in and we both said (he started jabbing 5 weeks ago) that we just didn't have the inclination to have a takeaway and so we tucked into an omelette with a bowl of homemade lentil soup! How things have changed.

I do have a few work events booked in over the next few weeks though - on Thursday I have a reception at the House of Lords and then dinner at Circolo Populare which is somewhere I keep meaning to go to. One of the ladies I am going with is also on MJ though so gets it and hopefully we can share a dessert becuase I REALLY want their lemon meringue pie!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

LovelyLapin · 10/10/2026 15:35

@BerfyTigot- that’s amazing! Have you read all about the benefits of losing 10%?

@BritbirdUK- have you got the cholesterol figures? Sometimes the ratio can be OK if your HDL is up and LDL is down.

I am taking 2.5 from a 5 pen so I’m on pen 3 still. I’ve had 15 doses now but I’ve somehow lost a couple of days - my first was a Wed. I am going to start being diligent about taking it on day 7 - I don’t feel hungry but I think the feelings of fullness have decreased a little. However, I did feel I was losing a little too quickly this close to target so I don’t want to go up a dose.

It sounds like you’ve got lots of lovely things planned!!! Sharing dessert sounds fab. I am guilty of sloping the bits I don’t want to eat to my DH and I’m starting to wonder if that’s a bit unfair to him because he has been a lighter weight in the past.

OP posts:
hussherbye · 10/10/2026 16:54

Hellooooo
Im a bit stuck at the moment, I had an issue with a pen not working and so I didn’t get a full dose, then I did 40 clicks off my first 5mg pen, but still nothing the hunger a little more- I’ve decided to do full doses next.

SW 224.7
CW 202.4
GW 170 I think

so 22lb down, 32 to go- almost half way

My top tip has been using chat gpt as a coach- I have a thread where I put weigh ins and ask questions about upping doses/exercises etc. it’s very encouraging and helps me see the bigger picture when I’m not feeling it!

BritbirdUK · 10/10/2026 17:25

@LovelyLapin at the start I was guilty of that with my husband - he needs to lose weight as well and if I didn't want something then I would just pass it over to him. Thankfully now we are both jabbing it isn't as much of an issue.

Re cholesterol that is pretty much it. Apparently it can show up as an issue because although your bad cholesterol is down and good up, they haven't balanced just yet. But would be good to hear it from the nurse as well!

AgedPudding · 11/10/2026 17:36

Quick question that might have been covered before. Anybody getting headaches? I'm not a headache person, rarely get one, but am occasionally waking up with one that lasts most of the day. It's not dehydration because I'm drinking 2.5 to 3 litres a day. Anybody else?

DaringlyDizzy · 11/10/2026 20:11

I have had to skip a dose as had such bad stomach pain I ended up in A and E as blacked out. Waiting on a scan to see if Gallstones.

I am a long term headache sufferer. This would be a cause for concern for me though. Has anything else changed apart from the MJ?

Have you tried adding electrolyte tablets to your water?

OP posts:
LovelyLapin · 11/10/2026 22:46

@DaringlyDizzy- hoping you feel better soon. Are you still in hospital?

Just gone up to 5mg so may be that. I did use electrolytes last night before bed and I'm ok this morning so . . . .I'll just keep tabs on it. Thanks.

BerfyTigot · 12/10/2026 09:01

Thanks @LovelyLapin , been googling the benefits of losing 10%. Certainly spurs me on for the next kg.

I'm guilty of passing bits i don't want onto the dog. She has a check up in November which includes her weight...😬

BritbirdUK · 13/10/2026 09:47

@AgedPudding I have had headaches. Like you not related to water as I drink similar amounts to you. I found I get them the day after jabbing although weirdly this past week I have had a few. It isn't all day though. Maybe ask your provider if they have support or your GP if you have it on the NHS? Someone mentioned to me that the initial ones could relate to the changes in diet such as less caffeine and sugar.

AgedPudding · 13/10/2026 10:20

Mine are occasional, like 2/3 times a week. As you say, close to when I've jabbed. I did some googling and apparently can be connected to your body's glucose levels adjusting to a higher dose, and I've just gone up to 5mg last week. When I say all day, I mean sort of mid afternoon when I've had sufficient food and fluid. I'm going to see how it goes and if it becomes a real problem I'll email the doc on Zava. They're pretty good at responding. Thanks.

RedUn · 13/10/2026 12:28

Hi All, I've had my 16th jab this morning, stayed on 4.5mg as weight loss is ticking along (1.8lbs last week). The food noise is more present than it used to be but I'm trying to ignore it and use this as training for the long term. I'm hoping that the time on MJ is a bit of a reset in my approach to food, what I buy in, meals and portion sizes, all the different things that can lead to bad habits. I know I've got MJ doing it's thing at the moment but I don't want to be on it forever but equally I don't want to gain the weight back.
At the moment I've got another 14-18lbs to go which I think will take me into New Year on MJ which I think might be a good thing as support over the festive period.
For now though, delighted to be lighter than I have been for about 14 years.
Well done everyone for your continued progress.

LovelyLapin · 13/10/2026 14:56

I had my first PT session yesterday. My aim is purely building muscle and strength. I’m also doing lower level strength / resistance exercise classes, park run for cardio and am going to try aqua fit this week.

Down to 150.0lb today. So hoping to be 14x lb this week! I had three meals out last week so only a small loss for me since last week, but it’s 2.4lb down over the fortnight which is fine.

3lb to my (intial?!) goal of a healthy BMI!

OP posts:
LovelyLapin · 13/10/2026 14:57

@RedUn - I’ve definitely got a bit more food noise too but I’m going to stay on 2.5mg unless the weight loss stalls.

LovelyLapin · 14/10/2026 13:15

That is an AMAZING milestone!!! Roll on 13 stone something @hussherbye! Won’t be long now. :)

NSV for me today - bought some new exercise leggings on vinted. Added some sz 12 New Look hot pants to get a bundle discount. They fit!

BettinaBumblebee · 15/10/2026 21:48

Hi all, just a quick update to say my scan confirmed gallstones and I’ve now been referred for surgery to have my gallbladder out. It’s quite a long wait so I’m on a low fat diet for the foreseeable. Food is now a bit boring but the fear of another attack is an excellent deterrent.

In other news, I’ve reached 2 stones off which I’m thrilled about. I’d say my appetite has increased a little as it’s now over 2 weeks since my last jab but still very manageable. I have absolutely no regrets about taking Mounjaro and, aside from the gallstones issue, feel better than I’ve done in years. If I need to go back to Mounjaro after surgery to continue my weight loss, I’d have no hesitation at all provided the Drs are happy.

@DaringlyDizzy thinking of you and hope all is ok xx

LovelyLapin · 16/10/2026 09:10

@BettinaBumblebee

I’m glad they’ve found the cause. Have you had any more attacks? Fingers crossed for a random cancellation so you get in and get it out ASAP!

OP posts:
BettinaBumblebee · 16/10/2026 21:59

@LovelyLapin no more so far thankfully. It’ll be tricky despite sticking to the low fat diet as the meal I had before my attack was a really healthy one and not particularly high fat. I’m quite surprised to be having surgery after one attack but I guess they see this all the time and can tell which ones are going to be troublesome and just need whipping out!

Well done on your progress to date by the way 🙌Very impressive weight loss, you must feel such a difference.
