Two years on….

So only one person knows I have used weight loss injection and no one knows how much I have lost. I feel like I need to tell someone as it has just hit me why an achievement it is. It know the Mounjaro does the heavy lifting but I have changed my diet and worked my arse off in the gym.

started MJ august 2024 and came off it August 2026 and moved to Wegovy tablets which I am still taking. In just over two years I have lost 8 stone !!!!! Now I know people have lost weight a lot quicker than that but I wanted it to happen slowly.

the only disappointing part is I still have a way to go. I started at 23st 3lb and I am now 15st 3lb, my goal 2 years ago was to get to 15st which I thought would be impossible so I now have set a new goal for 13st. I don’t want to be skinny I would be happy with a fit and healthy size 14 /12.

sorry just had to put it out there!

Congratulations! How do you feel in your ever changing body? Does anyone ask how you’re losing the weight? Do you feel like you have more energy or a different perspective on your life? Or you do still feel like you just a different size?

Thanks all, I feel incredible and didn’t realise how my weight restricted me before I lost it. My world has defo got bigger and it’s nice to not have to consider my weight / size now.
I really don’t like people commenting but they do, I just thank them and smile but they do often look disappointed that I then don’t tell them all about it.

I’m mid 40’s so I feel a bit jowly and my tummy is a bit soft and saggy but it doesn’t bother me really.

i am bloody loving exercise and i love feeling strong so that’s been a unexpected positive.

I was on 15mg MJ for the last 6 months and towards the end it wasn’t feeling as effective and I couldn’t justify the costs so I switched to wegovy tablet as nothing to lose and could save some money, I went straight to 9mg and as long as I wait 1hr -1.5hr after taking it before eating drinking then it suits me, I have an appetite but my craving / food noise is quiet but I could eat , so thought it is a more realistic lifestyle long term than being on MJ for the rest of my life. I may go up to 25mg in the future but don’t feel the need yet.

I have PCOS and before MJ I thought about eating every hour of every day and that hasn’t returned yet so I’m happy that wegovy is at least keeping that at bay

Well done. You’ve done brilliantly and it’s perfectly fine to settle at a weight you will feel happy about. Marvellous achievement.
