Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has been prescribed Mounjaro while taking methotrexate for RA?
I was outright rejected by New Health. Farmeci were willing to prescribe with confirmation from my GP that they were ok with monitoring me through regular blood tests. My GP surgery wouldn't provide this without speaking to Farmeci, which Farmeci were not willing to do.
I've had an appointment with my GP and she has said she is happy to write me a letter saying that the surgery are happy to monitor me and have no issue with me taking Mounjaro, however she hasn't actually written the letter yet as she said she needed to double check with their prescribing nurse and would get back to me. It has now been two weeks and I have heard nothing despite following up with a call and an online query - bearing in mind I first started trying to sort this out in March. I am getting a bit fed up and wondering if there are any pharmacies that would prescribe without a GP letter.
Has anyone had any similar experiences and what did you do?
