Foot Drop..

So. My left leg doesn't lift "up" and I've had an odd few days. I think from Dr Google I have Foot Drop. Probably from fast weight loss...

Ive got an MSK appointment booked... but I'm now really worried I'm permanently damaged!

I regained mobility on MJ and so scared of losing it this being permanent...

Anyone know more about this?

I’ve had it. It kind of went away on its own account after a few weeks, but then came back… second time with pain although the foot drop itself isn’t so pronounced. I’ve seen the consultant and the cause is a ganglion behind my knee which needs to be removed as it’s pressing on the nerve and causing foot drop and pain. I think you need to press dr for a scan (not Xray) to find out the cause.

I haven’t had any experience of this but I just wanted to send my best wishes and hope that it gets investigated and sorted out soon.

Thanks both of you.

It's very strange. There's no pain and it doesn't hurt... and Im kind of managing.. but not being able to lift my foot is.. strange.

I have the appointment tomorrow for Next Steps. I keep going down google rabbit holes.

@Johnogroats sorry that's happened. Will they remove it soon? What will the recovery be like? I am definitely going to say I am concerned as to the why. I think from google they give you exercises and a wait and see for 6 weeks 😬

I had this after a slipped disc, I was told it might be like that forever, but 6 sessions of acupuncture sorted me out.
I'd definitely recommend it x

Thanks OP! I’m seeing Dr this week and hope it will be soon. I’ll try and update idc. From Google and another dr I think 6 weeks is about right. A bit of pain and a day or 2 on crutches but hopefully I’ll be back to normal soon.

Hope it works out well - and you are all sorted! I guess I will wait 6 weeks and if it hasn't gone will get the scans and things then maybe. At least I am prepared if it goes away that it might come back after your story. fingers crossed for you.
