Persistent flu-like fatigue on MJ

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this on WLI? I have been on MJ for a year now, nearly at goal, and ever since the beginning I get this unpleasant, flu-like feeling that makes me feel quite unwell, that is more than simple fatigue. I have looked it up and it does seem to be a listed side effect for some people. It seems to have got worse the last two weeks, despite the weight loss having significantly slowed down recently ( as so near to goal). I'm losing only about half a pound a week. I've stayed on 2.5 mg throughout.

I'm just wondering if others have experienced this at all? I'm going to get my iron levels checked at a blood test next week, as I know they've been low in the past.

How is your diet?

If you’ve been existing on very low cals for a year you may be nutrient deficient in many things, including iron.

What BMI is your goal?

Iron is so interesting! I gave up on MJ for feeling depleted. But I have separately upped my supps including iron and it’s been good. More for HRT. but it’s making me think. My ferritin levels were not optimal when I tested.

I’ve been on 2.5mg for 14 months (reached not quite goal at 11 months and body seems happy to stay here!) and recognise what your describing, only for the first 48 hours post jab though.
I jab on a Friday morning so it doesn’t affect my working week.
I do take a multi vitamin as I’ve been low iron and low potassium previously which helps.

Mine seemed to be only really two or three days post jab too, to begin with. But it's been all week for over two weeks now.

My diet is pretty good, and I have a good appetite, having stayed on only a very low dose since the beginning. I wouldn't say my calories have ever been very low, although low enough for a deficit to lose weight of course. I lost about 2 lbs a week for the first couple of months, which then went down to about a lb a week for another two or three months. And the last half a year, it's been more like half a pound a week. I eat healthily, and haven't drastically reduced carbs either, though I stick to wholegrain as much as possible.

My BMI is currently only just within the healthy range, and I'd like to lose between about 4 to 7 lbs more, so very nearly there!

My iron levels were low before I even started MJ though, due to heavy periods probably, and I was on a high dose prescribed supplement. I'm no longer on the high dose, though still take a supplement. I definitely expect my iron levels to be pretty low again. I did get this flu-like fatigue right from the beginning though, despite taking the high dose iron at the time.

I get it and it lasts for 48+ hours post the jab. I can’t keep my eyes open sometimes and feels like full body exhaustion, not just tired. I’ve been on MJ for almost 5 months and some weeks are worse than others so interested to hear if anyone has found anything that helps…

I'm pretty strict with water and protein intake but do have young kids so baseline level of tiredness is always there too!
