Really not a fan of Wegovy pills after being on MJ injections.

I was on Mounjaro jabs for a year. It was absolutely brilliant, lost a lot of weight, zero side effects, really good suppression.

Due to the cost I stopped, and had a couple months on nothing to see if I could maintain or continue to lose.

Decided to give wegovy pills a go as they’re much cheaper (can now see why). I’m 3 months in, the suppression is so much less than MJ, and I feel queasy and groggy every day until early afternoon.

Have other people found this? I get it, you get what you pay for, but I’m finding wegovy really crap in comparison. There’s definitely some suppression but nowhere near MJ, it’s just the horrible hungover queasiness I hate. If I was losing a decent amount I wouldn’t mind as much, but I’m only losing about 3lb a month now.

3 months is long enough to decide it’s not working for you, if it’s making you feel so bad you should probably stop.

I’m on MJ and have been for almost 2 years, I’m losing even less than you and have been for most of this year but I have framed it in my mind that without the MJ I would definitely be gaining weight, not losing, albeit slowly. I don’t consider the MJ a waste because of my slow loss I see it as a saviour because of my slow loss. I would have gained stones this year without it!

You haven’t said how you did without any meds though? Were you struggling or managing?

Thanks for your response. I was really trying to maintain without MJ but I was slowly gaining. I only went back up 20lbs but it was creeping up.

Ive heard rumours that MJ is going to be cheaper soon, have you heard this? I’d love to switch back.

I recently quit after 2 and a bit months. I'd lost a stone and was happy with that but I felt like the early days of pregnancy all over again. I was exhausted, felt queasy a lot and just decided it wasn't worth it. That said, I still have almost 2 months pills here so if the weight starts creeping back on again, I'll just do a restart.

I’m on day 5 of wegovy pills after maintaining more than a year on MJ.

zero suppression, no nausea or side effects. I’m on 9mg pills so will go up next month to the maintenance of 25mg to see if it has an effect. If not back to MJ for me.

That's a shame. I would say that the pills are slow and steady and may be designed for those who have less weight to lose. I am just about to move to 9mg and I'm really happy with the pills so far. I want to lose another stone and feel that it is achievable. I presume the maintenance dose will do exactly that- maintain the loss in the long run. I feel that it has worked well in suppressing my appetite . I was on wegovy jab previously and was extremely sick and tired on it. It seems to be about finding the one which suits you best.
