Day 1 on wegovy pill would you like to join a support thread to support each other on this journey

Reassuring to know it passes! Had it on and off today too.

Yes I think my period was worse this month more pain in back and sides and cycle was shorter.

Day 28 check in

Starting weight 66.7 kg (10st 7)
Weight last week 63.4kg (9st 13.77 - well, ok 10st 😅)
Current weight 62.8kg (9st 12)

Total loss 3.9kg / 8.6lb

I can see differences but won't see most of my family until Christmas and I don't work in the sort of place people comment on such things.

(ETA I'm very short so even a small loss or gain shows pretty quickly)

I am very happy with that! I have decided to stay on 1.5 for another month as it seems to be working well for me at the moment. I look forward to not seeing 16 on the scales and hope to never see 16 again!

Congratulations 🌸 I am 29 days in and lost 3 pounds which I am happy with. Starting 4 mg in two days. Starting weight 13st 9lb and now 13 stone 6lb. Well done all

@Autumnfun1 hello! I’m doing ok thank you. I think we started the same day but I’ve missed two days for various reasons. Due to start my 4mg in four days. I’ve had very little suppression today and have basically eaten everything in sight so I definitely think it’s time to move up a dose.

Congrats on your weight loss so far and good luck with the 4mg in the next few days!

Took my first 4mg this morning, and have had a headache all day and felt a bit ‘urrgghh’ as well. Had to move up to 4 mg, I was ( like you) starting to eat too much again and putting a few lbs back on.
Im stopping pills for a fortnight over Christmas… God knows what I’ll have put on come January! 😁

Hopefully you’ll adjust quickly!! For the Christmas break will you have to restart at a lower dose?

I just thought that I am not going without all that nice food and drink over the festive fortnight, no matter what!

Both DP & I were poorly with a nasty cold last Xmas and barely ate ( and none of the Xmas drink was touched! ) so I def want to eat nice stuff this year! I’m really happy with the pills and food situation at the moment, but Christmas is special!

The most I stopped was 6 days, I kept same dose when I started again. 2 weeks might need advice from your prescriber.

Any side effects when you re-started? What dose were you on when you stopped?

I’m very late to the party, but it’s been great reading through how everyone is getting on with Wegovy pills.
Mine are due to be delivered tomorrow. I’m feeling slightly nervous. I’ve lost three stone doing calorie counting over the last 18 months, taking me to 12st 7lbs, I’m 5ft 6in so still overweight. The last few stone are just not shifting and I’m starting to lose the willpower to carry on. I’m really hoping the pills will help 🤞🏻

I’m just over two weeks in and have lost just over 6lbs. Suppression has really dropped off so I start on the 4mg tablets next time. I’m hoping to hold steady until then.

side effect wise I’ve started with sulphur burps today. Grim. Any ideas on how to deal with it? Thanks

Gaviscon is really good for the burps, keep paracetamol handy for any headaches that you might get at 4mg👍

@scaredysquiggle you could try peppermint tea. It works to calm the digestive tract and freshen your mouth and breath from the taste. Tea Pigs are price but good.

Well done you for your progress so far! Hope you get on ok with the pills, final push now to get where you want to be.

I’m almost through week 5, stuck with 1.5mg. Supression is still fine but haven’t lost anything this last week. Hoping it’s just a little plateau and will even out over the month. Actually been worried at points I’m eating too little overall, so trying to track calories and macros a bit more over the next week.

Day 3 of 1.5mg and I don't feel great today. A really upset stomach, lots of bloating too. Hopefully it eases swiftly. It's a good job it's a home working day.

I'm on day 6 of 1.5mg and have been really surprised at how high suppression has been already. So far have lost 2.4kg - my weight does tend to fluctuate a bit, so we'll see how it pans out over time.

Someone (can't remember who, sorry!) posted a link about the 30 min wait being the minimum time to wait before eating and drinking - after reading that, I've been wait 90 mins which does seem be working OK so far. But, early days...!

Posting for the first time! I’m on day 24 of 1.5mg and have lost 5.6kg so far; very happy with that. I’ve had no side effects to speak of so far, but appetite suppression has been noticeable and I get full so quickly, and don’t fancy sweet treats (used to be my downfall). I definitely can’t drink as much wine as I used to either which is no bad thing! Moving up to 4mg next week, hoping I don’t get side effects then.

goal weight (I’m 181cm): 80kg (but would be happy with 85kg honestly!)
