Help MM wants to kick me back to 2.5mg

I’ve been using MJ weekly for a year, losing about 3 stone and injecting faithfully every week. I’m currently on a 10mg pen and I’ve only ever ordered from Medicine Marketplace. I placed an order with them 2 days ago and got an email back today saying they will not fulfill this as it’s 6 weeks since I last contacted them. I probably did wait longer than usual because I was on holiday, but I had sufficient supply at home. Is there anything I can do to persuade them to give me what I want?

Have you contacted them to tell them that your order was late due to being on holiday? If not then I would start there and see what they say.

I've never used that company. On my recent order elsewhere, they asked why it was nearly 6 weeks between ordering, but it had a section to write.

I said that I always ordered with 1 or 2 doses in that pen left, so I would finish my current pen before starting the next one. It was approved straight away. I too would contact them and explain you were away- otherwise, change supplier.

My friend had to send a screenshot as proof of flights/holiday booking for a gap and then it was fine

I’ve read the reason MMP is so cheap is their pharmacists prescribe strictly to a PGD instead of having more expensive independent prescribers.

Which is fine if you keep within the rules, and you then get the cost benefit. Outside the rules you are looking for it somehow justify it to be escalated by their customer services team to an independent prescriber who can look at your case.

Or switch quickly for a supplier who might allow your gap. Then switch back to MMP after that pen for the cheap prices, but be more diligent with time between future orders.

Thats interesting I've been ordering between 6 and 7 weeks with them. I just had to fill in a form. A friend regularly ignored those requests to complete the form and they sent the pen each time anyway. 🙈

I’d contact them and explain that you’ve been taking 10mg consistently and only delayed ordering because you had enough supply while away. If they still won’t fulfil it, I’d probably ask she Med or another regulated provider what their policy would be rather than trying to work around the prescribing checks

I’d contact them and ask exactly why the six-week gap means they can’t fulfil the prescription, especially since you’ve continued using your existing supply. If they won’t reconsider, you could ask another regulated provider about their requirements rather than trying to get around their prescribing checks
