Just poured out all my questions and it’s been hidden till checked! Is that routine or did I use some sort of weird doom Mumsnet code ritual?

Not hidden automatically in my experience but there was a run of people sharing discount codes, which isn't allowed, so maybe they are hiding threads overnight or something.

It was because you used a word, an innocuous one really, in your opening post that triggers the automatic moderation which hides posts until a human can review it. The word in question was the topic of your seventh question, beginning with “g”. It’s a word often used by accounts that post lots of spam adverts all over the boards for dodgy supplements.

Oh I thought I must have stepped on a mine somewhere 😀 good to know
