In my 50s and on mounjaro for 12 months. Menopausal. Had very thick hair but suddenly it seems a lot thinner.

Anyone any suggestions as to lotions and potions that might stop it getting worse?

How much protein do you eat? WLI hair loss is caused by dietary insufficiency rather than the injections themselves.

You need to hit the protein, and lots of good fats, tuna, avocado, sardines.

It’s a side affect of the jab. Not much you can do until you have finished taking it. Then focus on your hair regrowth.

Not necessarily. I eat lots of protein and my diet is very very good. Still lost the hair though, but it’s growing back now.

You can spend lots on various treatments that make all sorts of claims. However, hair loss from losing weight is usually temporary and self resolving, so it will eventually sort itself out. That can take around 3 to 6 months.

Thank you. Eating plenty of protein, that's not a worry. I guess I'll live with it for now!

Mine fell out after about 4 stone in 5 months. Once I upped my calories and weight stabilised it grew back.

How old are you? Peri/menopause can cause hair loss.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve lost 50lbs in 12 months, kept up my protein but my thick hair is noticeably thinner in the front. I’ve actually considered a hair topper. I’m 58 and post menopausal. Collagen didn’t help so now I’m just waiting to see what happens.

Does HRT affect this?
Because I'm not at that stage, but am concerned that if HRT does work, it's only delaying the inevitable and having to deal with no oestrogen later than naturally might mean I'm suffering worse as I'll be older.
