How to chose provider

I have been very nervously thinking about WLI for a couple of years now. Having chatted to my GP I feel reassured that it’s the right thing to do for me. However I’m now overwhelmed with the number of suppliers and the different offerings. I have ADHD to I do have trouble processing information and overthinking options - and this has just sent me in a tail spin!! As this is my first time, I want to pick a supplier with good clinical credentials. Can anyone recommend a good supplier? Where do I start? Thanks so much in advance 🙂

There is a price comparison website - https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/ - that you might find useful. All those listed are GPhC registered pharmacies/suppliers and so have the correct clinical credentials. The medication is the same wherever you get it from, so I would be mainly guided by price and recent TrustPilot reviews.

There are a few providers who operate a subscription model. That means that they automatically charge you every 4 weeks and send out your next prescription unless you actively change those settings. Some of them may charge a cancellation fee if you want to move pharmacies before the subscription expires. After the first month with a new customer discount, the subscription prices can get very expensive. I avoid the subscription pharmacies as a result.

I have used Asda, Zava, Pharmacy2U, WePrescribe, Lloyds, and I am currently using Swift Doctor. I have had no issues with any of those, and only switched due to pricing. It's worth realising that you will pay the full retail price after your first order with any one pharmacy, as you'll no longer have the new customer discount. That's why I've chopped and changed, in order to get a better deal.

All of the providers on here:

Are properly accredited.

Thry are selling and identical product, therefore just go for the cheapest.

You can change providers every month. Your current provider will ask you if you want to reorder (much like car insurers do annually). You can say no, go back to the Monj site and pick the cheapest.

I won't add anything to the info about providers but I wondered if you're on meds for ADHD. I am not but I have found Mounjaro has really helped with my general focus and the whole dopamine craving.

ADHD can definitely make choosing between lots of options harder. I’d compare a few providers and look at their clinical credentials first. ADHD Certify is one option you could look at, but it’s worth checking what each provider actually offers before deciding.

Thanks everyone. Is there any difference in aftercare or customer support with providers?

Im not on any adhd medication so that’s interesting about the focus - that could be a good unintentional side effect.

All pharmacies should provide customer support that’s reasonably responsive. Some do online chat, WhatsApp or Facebook private groups. Others it’s by email or website based messaging. Some have phone lines. I’ve never had to contact any of the pharmacies about anything as I’ve not had any questions or issues that I couldn’t resolve myself.

A few companies offer additional “support”, which might be an app with AI, or some sort of virtual coaching. On the Monj website the comparison table has a column that shows if they offer Additional Services.

I’ve been using Cloud Pharmacy; I don’t know if they are the cheapest but they’ve been very easy and reliable. They send me a reminder to reorder and they were fine when I asked to take a 1 month break for financial reasons.

Zava are excellent albeit expensive
stay clear of dr franks

I swap every month using the monj/igovy comparison sites depending on who's cheaper.

They have all been good and no issues with any of them. Once the introduction discount offers are expired, I have found medicine marketplace the cheapest normal price supplier. No complaints with them.
