I posted about this on a thead about a week ago but just posting this on a separate one because I thought that it would be useful, especially I have seen several posts from people saying that they are not feeling good appetite supression on Wegovy tablets.
I was reading about the half an hour window between taking the tablet and eating as I found some days were better than others and found an article which said that apparently the body can take up to 90 mins to fully absorb the semiglutinide. But it seems that it was decided to advise at least half an hour wait as it was felt that asking for a longer wait could be impractical for users.
Apparently even diluting it with more than a small sip of water or black tea or coffee in that time could means less absorbtion, and even a little food too early after taking it could compromise it completely.
The article did seem to be really clear on this point and well referenced. But I'm no scientist.
I do tend now to take mine early as possible (around 5.30 am) as I wake early but it could be why sometimes when I haven't waited more than an hour before drinking or eating I have felt more hunger and why some people are reporting that they are not really feeling any different on it.
Since reading this I have made a point of waiting 90 minutes and also making sure that I have well over 8hrs fasting time if possible ( we eat dinner early here) it certainly seems to work better and im steadily losing weight now on 4mg.
I'm fortunate in that I can stick to this routine without any problem as I don't have a morning schedule to keep to but appreciate that its harder if you do, but thought it may be helpful information.
I'll put up a link to the article on separately.
